Making a Difference with a Petition 1:34 AM I recently wrote to a number of contacts within the NZ Green Party to let them know about our efforts here to protect Maui's dolphin. I have just received an email back from Karen Davis who is the Green Party Convenor. I thought I would post it here for you. We can be sure that our petition here will be put to good use and I hope you will all encourage as many people to sign as possible to increase pressure. Please cross-post wherever you can. The situation with the seabed mining and threat to the Maui dolphin is becoming quite urgent and every thing we do to alert people helps. Even though the petition has no legal standing as you say, it will still be helpful to send it on to the Government so that they can see the level of opposition to the mining.
