May I advise caution with this petition. The information therein is out of date. Rimsha was released on bail a month ago and there is now good reason to believe that the case against her will be dropped once it has been transferred to a juvenile court, which it is set to do (from which, even if there was a case to answer and she was found guilty, she could not be sentenced to death).
It is now accepted that the case was a conspiracy against her, but 3 of the 4 men who made statements against the alleged conspirator have now retracted their statements. This, though, should not impact negatively on Rimsha's case.
The main problem is that when Rimsha is freed of all charges and released unconditionally she will be at the mercy of a community inclined to persecute and victimise her - and probably administer their own, summary justice. Thus, the main concern now is her safety after release and whether the authorities can guarantee it.
