I'm a new member of this group and I need your support for a really worthy cause : Helping research seeking cures for Alzheimer's disease, a progressive neurologic disease of the brain leading to the irreversible loss of neurons and the loss of intellectual abilities, including memory and reasoning, which become severe enough to impede social or occupational functioning. It is the most common form of dementia. The disease gets worse as it develops - it is a progressive disease. There is no current cure for Alzheimer's, although there are ways of slowing down its advance and helping patients with some of the symptoms. Alzheimer's is also a terminal disease - it is incurable and causes death.

Ok I signed the Baffle Creek Petition and the one for Naresh Kadyan; I could not get to the one for Eco bonds as it no longer existed.

Baffle Creek is a beautiful river in Australia, the most untouched in the populated area of SE Queensland, and a dam there is being considered to provide water for an industrial town nearby. It runs into the southernmost end of the Great Barrier Reef and this area is the only place on the mainland that endangered loggerhead turtles nest at. Please tell our Government (and industry) to use alternative, sustainable methods to provide water, and to protect the environment for all!

I am a member of this group and they are fantastic fighters for animal rights. The founder and pres of this group is Dr. Neal Barnard. He tours the country lecturing and teaching about the Vegan lifetstlye. They have been instrumental in getting the 5 food groups used since the 40's changed to these 4 food groups now. fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. Meat and dairy are now considered like sugary foods in our diets. Anyway this is a great way to help future the Vegan lifestlye and also help animals. We the undersigned, are EXTREMELY OUTRAGED at how you have allowed capitalism to destroy our economy, and our environment, and our relationships with other countries. You made business deals that have grown tentacles into every function of our society, which have failed, and now you are unsure of WHERE to apply any resolutions.

As you have commandeered 700 billion dollars, with the probability of more lurking every day, and are attempting YOUR solution. We are submitting this petition to tell you what we want in return for OUR MONEY.

OUR SOLUTION is in solving POLLUTION. This is a way of life that you have been avoiding, splitting hairs, and out right burying for over 30 years.
With the City of Malmo, Sweden as a beacon...  WE hereby DEMAND, ECOLOGY BONDS!!!

• We Demand that ECO-BONDS be issued within the first 10 days of office of the next president.
• We Demand that these bonds pay (matching) dollar for dollar after two years.
• We Demand that these funds be used to create GREEN COLLAR jobs beginning no later than April 15, 2009

               
The following jobs are to be created, IN THIS VERY SAME ORDER:

1. M.R.F.:  Material Recovery Facilities are to be built. At least one for every county in the United States. They can be built by a private company OR by the Local government
2. E-Waste: Factories for disassembling computers and other electronics, salvaging the parts. These MUST also exist at least one per county. 
3. WE Demand ELECTRIC VEHICLES! Since the government has seen fit to "invest" in certain businesses to help with the crisis, we want the government to "INVEST" in GM and CHEVRON to recover the technology for the electric cars that were on the road 10 years ago. We want you to make it possible for middle to lower income families to afford the purchase of these vehicles.
4. We Demand that you make public toilets "waterless" as at the New York Bronx Zoo.
5. We Demand that you STOP the use of FOOD for bio-diesel, and instead use farm scraps and grass clippings.
6. We Demand that the airlines use  the company RWA (for starters) to find fuel through grease.
7. We Demand that methane (natural gas) be collected from farms AND land fills (after M.R.F. sorts through them)to run the electric grid.
8. We Demand that you clean our water with PLANTS and not CHEMICALS, creating wetland sewers, first residential and then commercial.
9. We Demand that you support companies such as Michelle Kaufman's GLIDE HOUSE,  and L.E.E.D. approved housing.Call a moratorium on the clearing of new land for houses, instead encourage houses already built to be used or rebuilt.
10. We Demand that you advertise and peer pressure people into making xeriscapes not lawns.
11. We Demand that you contact Konarka Technologies, and negotiate FAIRLY for the use of their "solar inks"
12. We Demand that you watch the videos on Environmentally friendly options at www.youtube.com/user/aicram62  for a start.
