Please share your favorite vegan-themed books... the ones that first informed or inspired you to start out on the vegan path, the ones you love to recommend or give to friends and family, the ones you often return to...
Incredibly Delicious: Recipes for a New Paradigm is a cookbook, but every page has a quote that relates in some way to veganism. Reading these quotes is what moved my mom to go very-near-vegetarian, and every so often we reread them for inspiration and discussion material. (I do however have to add a disclamer that recipe-wise, this is not one of my favourites...if it was possible to get just a booklet of the quotes, I would recommend it to anyone!)
I agree, Laura, Incredibly Delicious has a fantastic collection of quotes, and I love how you and your mom make use of them!
The Vegan Sourcebook has a lot of wonderful, thoughtful quotes in it, too, from "everyday" vegans (instead of historical figures & celebrities) about the experience of becoming and being vegan. I'll post a few in our Inspiration, Etc. thread soon.

I cant wait for the inspiration thread!! Thanks for all the info on all the threads!
I have to say that both books by Howard Lyman where shocking to me. It is something else hearing about the meat industry by someone that really belonged in it and went from being a rancher (10.000 cows) to being a vegan.
