I cannot tell you the pain I feel in my heart, Tracy but I know you feel it too. Tears are falling from my eyes now as I read about the destruction of these beautiful, ancient tree that has provided beauty for so many years. All for the love of money!! I pray that these scumbags will be caught and hung from one of the trees that so cruelly destroyed! I posted this on Facebook, too.
I posted on Facebook too, I just can't believe how malicious people can be, and to go through so much trouble to deliberately kill these trees.......what is the world coming to????
Sometimes I feel that all our fighting for the rights of animals and trees are in vain, but we can't give up. And thankfully we do see some good stories with happy endings.
They are only hurting themselves. They just don't know it yet. We can't give up we have to keep fighting and planting. It's always going to be the hardest to do the right thing.
And no matter how many trees we plant or replace now, they will never be 'ancient trees' in our lifetime....and sadly, maybe never if people don't change their ways and protect these magnificent creations. Not only is it hurting us and our ecosystem but wildlife habitat as well.
