Ok everyone....I just created a Treehuggers Photochain! Feel free to add any pics of trees or forests that you would like! Let's see some cool tree photos!
I added 2 photos- but first time photochain did not recognize me I showed up as a guest? maybe my login session expired, because I clicked on link from NTWM
Jelena--beautiful pics!!!!! I'm not sure why it came up that way....I've noticed that happening before but I am not sure what causes it to come up as a guest. But anyhow, I just love the pics you added!!! Thanks!

Wow, Tracy, what a great idea to start a photo chain for trees. I looked in my photos, yet no closeups of trees to add . Thanks, everyone, for contributing. I've enJOYed very much!
I went to the Treehugger Photochain and watched the slideshow. They're all so lovely! The state tree of Kansas is the cottonwood, and when you hear the wind blow through it's branches, even in the winter, you'll remember it for a long time. And in the summer, the leaves shimmer in the sun with the slightest breeze.
Most natural grafting occurs under ground in the root systems of similar trees. However, if you look at my ID photo, you will see an above ground natural grafting between two white pine trees.
Brigitte--Lovely!!!!!! Thank you to you and all the other posters at my photochain for trees! I enjoy all of the great pics that have been added!! Thanks Guys!
I've just moved home right out in the countryside and am so lucky that my garden has it's own woods. They aren't clear but below are some photos of my forest (and my dog <grin>) any more are in my photo album via my profile...
Maya, Anne, Yvonne, and Jimmy......WOW!!!! I love all the pics you have added to this thread!! They are truly beautiful sights to behold.....Thank you for sharing!
**Anne....your new place is gorgeous!! It must be so nice to be surrounded by trees everywhere...all the wildlife, and nature, just right outside your window! I envy you....all I have is what I have in my yard, and the only thing beyond that is barren land, building materials, and hideous big machines and equipment. I used to have up to 10 squirrels feeding in my yard at one time, I haven't seen a squirrel in my yard in months now. I've had a hard time just attracting the birds back to the feeders in my yard.
Hi Nazmije!! Thanks for replying to this thread, but unfortunately, I can't see the images you posted...nothing but a red x. Are the pics you are trying to post online or on your computer? I don't think it will let you post pics from your computer...they have to be on an online album. Let me know if you need any help! I would love to see your images!

JEQUITIBA ROSA - BRAZILIAN NATIVE TREE January 21, 2006 11:59 PM
HI DEAR ALL FRIENDS HERE IN TREEHUGGERS - SO NICE TO SEE THOSE MANY LOVELY PICS OF BEAUTIFUL TREES.
TODAY WAS LUCKY TO UPLOAD ONE TO THE PHOTOCHAIN ! IT IS OF A BRAZILIAN TREE - JEQUITIBA, SHE IS MY "BELOVED" AND IS 25 YEARS OLD ALMOST. IT WAS THE FIRST I PLANTED WHEN CAME TO WHERE I LIVE SINCE.
THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN WHEN NEW LEAVES ARE COMING = THEY ARE PINK COLORED. THE TREE WAS NOT COMPLETELY BLOOMED ON THE NEW LEAVES SO IT IS NOT THAT "GREAT LOOKING" .
HOPE YOU LIKE IT. I AM PLANTING A LOT OF THEM BECAUSE THEY BELONG TO THE ATLANTIC FOREST, IS IN EXTIONCTION AND SO I GO TO THE FOREST TO HAVE THEM PLANTED.
I just checked out your tree, and I think it is beautiful! I love the color! It is wonderful that you are taking steps to preserve that species of tree! Thanks so much for sharing Agnes!

Just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all who have added to the photochain recently and in general! It's so great to see so many pics of so many different magnificent trees! And thanks to those sharing tree pics on this topic! They are absolutely beautiful!

All I can say is 'AWESOME' photos!! True beauty in every sense of the word!!! Thanks so much for sharing these photos.
If I need a photo for my "tree fact sheet booklet", would it be possible if I used one of these pics? I'm not sure which one yet or I may not at all but I would like to get permission just in case.
This tree shot shows what fun critters and birds have playing in them. My son caught this photo just right! Can you imagine living in the world with no trees or critters or the singing of birds? It breaks my heart to see another tree cut.

When I visited Elizabeth, Indiana last week I was in Heaven!! They have the prettiest trees and hills, etc so I had to take this picture of a Weeping Willow!!
Awesome shots Vicky! Thanks so much for sharing! The willow is absolutely beautiful, and I love the little squirrel munching, and the way you caught the cardinal in flight! Spectacular!

Fabric is a fetishfor me - a hobby/job. I get everything 2nd hand...
Just learning how to use the camera. The flash didn't come on on this shot because the sun was behind me. Next time I'll know to make sure to turn it on. I just love the way the sun is shining through the leaves and creating a green aura. PS - I tried loading it on the photochain but it wouldn't load...
Actually Donna you want the sun behind you NOT the subject. Or it can be on the side somewhere. I wonder why it wouldn't load here (your pic). Try loading in a Care2 album or on Photobucket the copy and paste.

Great pic Donna! I wonder why it wouldn't load to the photochain? I was going to say that maybe the pic was too big in Megabytes, but if you already have it in a Care2 photo album, then that can't be it.
Hi Vicky! I'm been good, but very busy! Glad that my trees finally have leaves now.....I was getting tired of the bare wintry look!
I just posted a couple of photos of trees. This is such a great idea. I LOVE trees! I may have one or two in my camera to add, but will have to wait and see how well they turned out.

Larry...what a gorgeous tree trail pic! It must be nice to walk down that trail and admire such beautiful trees.
Jon-- Holy cow! What a mammoth tree to have right in the yard!! I've never seen such a huge tree growing on one's fenced in property like that....in a forest maybe lol. WOW I am astounded ----looking at that pic in disbelief!
Awesome pic Earth! And I want to thank everyone who added the latest pics to the Photochain! They are beautiful! Feel free to add as many as you'd like..you can never have too many pics of trees!

I am lucky enough to work for the National Trust, albeit in a very small capacity, but it is simply stunning. Just proves Ireland is not all green ....
