I signed I did not send it to my friends yet, but I intend to later, when I am not so busy. If you remind me again, I probably will send it to friends then

your petition will work - it worked to get Jeffrey Williams back into F&S in nothing flat. Just be sure to post it in F&S
But, why doesn't Ted just create a new profile like everyone else doese when Care2 or a group kicks them out?
.

That is because if he creates a new profile, Ted will not be able to manage the groups he owns...... which is why it's important that Ted K. can come back as such

If I'd get banned for no reason,I wouldn't create a new profile. I mean it's easy to get a new account, but I don't think that I'd like to stay in a community ,where you get banned just because someone doesn't like you.I' d try everything to get my account back.
I just finished sending this petition to my entire friends list - it took some hours (mainly waiting for the internet to change pages or whatever), over the last 2 or 3 days. That's over 1480 people
All of you with shorter friends lists - it is easier for you to do the same, eh? Go on!
By the way Che, I welcome you to post the petition in any of my groups that don't have it yet, and I encourage you to post it in other groups too, if you like - why not?
I have red-pinned this thread without asking our other hosts this time, because this is a thread to bring back one of our hosts. Is that ok with you, my fellow hosts?
323 people have now signed the petition to bring Ted back
Everyone, please send the petition to your friends like I did, so that we can surpass our goal of 1,000 signatures - and so make a big impact on the Care2 administration!
I don't sign petitions very often April 27, 2006 10:29 AM
Well at least I seldom sign petitions.
Being in the petition business,... I know how little effect a 'virtual petition' has.
I gather signatures on 'real' petitions,... the kind where we get to vote on the issue at the elections that are held by the state.
When the people vote,... it makes the issue 'real' and even if the issue is voted down,... there is ongoing consideration from then on,... because those people that voted yes will be voting on those government officials next!!!!!
Anyway,...
I signed this petition for Ted, who I do not even know,...
because I face the same potential of being booted simply because I have opinions that others do not agree with.
And those people, simply because they do not agree with me,... would campaign against me just to be mean.
So I am willing to help bring Ted back because I would want others to help bring me back if I get booted.
I signed Ted's petition and am happy I could help.
Because we need to realize that poverty is caused and supported by our present laws.
All the 'virtual petitions' against poverty have not solved the problem.
However,... if we were to do 'real' petitions,... (which means that we will need to become just a little more organized) that make changes in our laws to help people (like creating a government agency that helps people start their own businesses) then we could see some real changes.
As we consider this,... keep in mind that here in California it takes about 1,000,000 signatures to put an issue on the ballot,.... and it would take more then just little ole me to gather those signatures.
I have been offering petitions now that pay $1 to $3 per signatures,... where people can make $500 per day and nobody is responding wanting to help.
So,... it will not be 'easy' to get a good petition on the ballot.
However I do know many of those people that are contributing to these petitions,... and prepared properly, presented properly,... these same contributors will likely finance a good petition,... if we were to create one.
Why hide behind anonymity, whoever you are, "anonymous"?
Anyway, it doesn't really matter whether Ted K. is Che or not, because, as Mariannie wrote above, if Ted "creates a new profile, [he] will not be able to manage the groups he owns...... which is why it's important that Ted K. can come back as such".
That is why we have this petition.
(PS, fellow hosts, I would like for us to remove the option for people to post anonymously. What do you think about this?)
I don't allow anony posts in my groups because of the nature of them, I feel if u have something to say then out with it and own it, even if u are proved wrong later.
The only reason I feel that anony would be allowed in this groups is for those who are living in poverty, below poverty and socity which makes puts shame on that. with that said, it is the hosts, group owners' decision. The above were to be no need to be anony.
now side tracked, back to my situation, which canadians have a deaf ear to.
Ted, more than a year after his banishment, is back on care2. After numerous emails to the site, it was finally said to him that there was a technical problem.
Ket
P.S. I don't see any reason to allow the anonymous option in this group. If people are afraid of revealing their identity, they can always create a pseudonym identity, just like Ted did with "Che".
