" For centuries, flowers, herbs and various plants have captivated people with their cheerfulness, sweet fragrances, delicate foliage, and pungent smells and flavors. They have been so outstanding in this regard, that no wonder mankind has attached significant meanings to them---a language of their own . Although the origin of this language predates Victorian times, the world of plants and flowers have always had a religious, mythological and symbolic meaning and still do today. We have composed a list of the most popular and more common herbs and flowers and their meanings. However, the list is infinite. And, of course, the meanings may change with various combinations. People actually used this language to express in flowers what could not be said in words. The most use of this language you see now a days is in themed events and weddings. When I plan parties, events, and weddings, for my friends and myself I always use the language of flowers to express mood and environment. Many people do not take advantage of this but whether the person is concious of the languages meanings or not, they can still feel the mood. Very good information.
I have always thought people should be more concious of what they express about themselves through color, flowers, food preferences and energies.
