Extreemly Bad Day October 10, 2012 5:21 PM

Was a bad day today. Came home from getting feed and found my mare down. We fought for two hours to help her but she had rolled and twisted an intestin. We were left with no choice but to put her down. I had her 20 years and it was a hard thing to do, but there was no help for her.

Stephen, I'm so so sorry to hear this.  She was a beauty.  Yes the loss of such a favorite does always leave a big gaping hole in your heart.  Sincere condolences.

As a horseman , sometimes in life we are blessed to have one that stands out from all the rest and means more to us than the rest have. Not that we don't love and appreciate the ones we have and have had , but the feelings seem to run much deeper with this one ! I can say without a doubt in my mind that this was the case with Ginger. We had that special bond that is almost never found normally. I'm also blessed with having a Vet clinic that feels as much for their clients as they do their Patients ! And thats far and few in between in this day and age !  [ send green star]
