Such an inspirational book! June 11, 2005 5:29 PM

I am re-reading a perfectly wonderful book called "The Power of Now,  (a guide to spiritural enlightenment)" by Eckhart Tolle.

This little book has made a huge impact on my life and I recommend it to everyone. It can transform your thinking and your life for the better, at least it has for me.

If you have read it, let's discuss it.

Hi I am reading "THE HEALING POWER OF THE MIND" by Rolf Alexander. I came across it coincidentally - it gives practical techniques for health ans empowerment. I believe in "mind over matter" and desire to live in excellent health, therefore I do all that I can to maintain my health.  Ingrid  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

inspirational books February 23, 2006 11:00 AM

Hi, Lura,

this is Annamaria, It's the first time I decided to try to electronic communication this way. Don't know what will become of this message, anyway here I am with a nice book to suggest. The title is "The four agreements" and the author is Don Miguel Ruiz.

It's a quite simple book with a deep incredible message. I guess that it's even more effective because of it's simplicity!!

Let me know.

Hugs

A good book, that can help living the present moment is

The Four Agreements: Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz

You have to concentrate on the moment if the rest changes its position in the whole perspective... don't you?

Heather's Suggestion... April 27, 2006 8:17 AM

Dear Heather,

Yes, I read this book after reading "The Power of Now," by Eckhart Tolle.  The book you suggest, "Practicing The Power of Now" is an extension of "The Power of Now" and I, like you, have found it so very helpful in understanding and practicing living in the present moment.  I love both these books!

Thanks for your suggestion,

Lura

Maybe, being close to one's end of the trip helps reminding the other how important is to live in the present moment.

My tuesdays with Morrie -  By Mitch Albom

is a  heartful invitation not to let moment flee...
I hope you'll like it as I did.

I agree that the "Power of now" is a very good one, and so actual.

For 20 years ago I was reading: "a autobiography of a yogii" of Paramahamsa Yogananda. It is very well written.
Another book is "Crime and Punishment" of Pjodor Dostolvjeski. It is a very psychological and spiritual story.
