I finally finished my culottes to go with my halter top.

I also made a few neclaces.

Kitchen dishtowel, finished 3wks ago. He is getting married in July. Now I don't know if I will get to go. THat's 700miles away & I just quit my job. Tired of the stressfulness of it and it doesn't have to be that way. It's nursing, so am hoping to get on w/some agency. Prayers plz!!!

That is beautiful. I love doing cottages and Lilliput lane houses.

Just wanted to share with you all the Christmas gift I made for my mother-in-law. It's a sweater vest. She told me that she tried it on and it fits wonderfully. She loves it. I haven't seen her wear it yet, but I don't see her all that often.
The picture is not all that great. It looks much better in real life. The ladies at work all loved it too. They are all amazed at the things I make. Makes me feel good when they tell me that.
What's happened to the abandoned puppies?
Debbie
What a cute puppy. I was holding a 3mo old shiztu today. It was abadon, left on the road w/its brother. My friend found it.
My Freelife projects our done. Photos aren't too good. Trying out anew cheap camera. We had a B-day party for the guy I gave the gift too. He was so surprised.
Now to finish up my last project that I plan to work on in TX. If I do something else it will be small projects.
awww what a cutie puppy! (I call all dogs puppies)![]()
The sweater is great, I wish I could knit, I am lucky to be able to cast on and I dont do that very well either!!! Well, perhaps someday I will learn.

This is the second sweater I've knitted to send to Many Tears Animal Rescue Centre. Petal's modelling it for me but it's too big for her.
Ya know Dolores, I didn't notice that before. That's kinda funny. I see what you mean.
Thanks Deborah. The granny squares at the top on the front are considered half squares. They are triangle shaped, so when I did my finishing edges it gave it a vee shape. I like the way it turned out, I just wish it fit me a little better.

Betty, I had to smile when I saw the picture of the sweater. The top squares at the neckline reminded me of eyes in that small picture! It's cool though!
Here's the sweater I've been working on since the summer. I finally finished it a few days ago. It fits kinda big, but it's very warm. I still want to make a few alterations to it to keep it from falling off my shoulders when I wear it. If I attempt this again, I think I'll make the granny squares smaller so that the whole sweater will be smaller. I guess it's a one size fits most pattern.
I also made a few bracelets and a pair of earrings for Christmas gifts.
When I finish my next project, I'll get that up here too. It should be done soon, I need it for Christmas. Another sweater, but a simpler one.
The problem is you have to have the image on line. You can't post pics from your hard drive. Load them on a free site or in your c2 photo pages and then you can post the pic here using that on line address [URL].

Thank you so much. I chose the color to go with a black broomstick skirt that has a flower print on it in the same purple. The dress sounds really nice. If you ever get a pic of it I'd love to see it. I'm sure you look great in it. I know that feeling about the sizing. It seems even when you check gage it doesn't seem like everyone is working on the same size scale. That's one reason I had to do this sweater again. It was just way to big following the instructions for my usual size.
I have just finished a vintage pattern crochet dress. Wish I could post a picture, but I don't have a camera that will talk to my computer.
The dress caused lots of problems because what I think of as a size 12 was not what the pattern thought! There was lots of frogging (and cursing) I can tell you to get the dress downsized enough for me to wear it! lol It would seem that dress sizes have changed over the last 50 odd years! lol

First off, tell your nephew
Second, your project is absolutely beautiful!
Kelli:
I like your things, I dont do much crochet anymore. Cross stitch keeps me VERY busy!![]()
everyone's so talented here. Beautiful projects everyone! Here are a few of mine:

Shawn, I LOVE that monkey, sooo cute!!
I'm new here, but when I saw this thread I had to show off a little. I've been doing stitching of one sort or another since I was 10, including crewel, crochet, cross-stitch, blah blah! I'm 50 now, so it's been quite a while. I only started taking pictures of my projects recently, but if you are interested, they are in one of my albums and I invite you to look-you'll know which one right away, I guarantee!

Funny, he looks like a dog in a sweater to me ![]()
and only because your my sister do I let you get away with that comment![]()
I wont be dressing him for Halloween, we dont do Halloween.
I'm sorry Dolores, I have to say it. He looks like a little pig in a blanket.
Just joking. Don't worry I won't let Mike see it. I guess you could imagine what he would say.
I love the colors. He's got to be the best dressed dog in the neighborhood. Are you gonna dress him up for Halloween?
If you do, I'd love to see that.
I made this sweater for my dog Atlas......what do you think

Shawn:
COOL SOCKS!
Hey Betty!
Love how the halter came out. Perhaps you could do the coulottes (sp?) in a solid color too, that way if you're too colorful you have options!
These are my latest projects. (Well the one in the middle actually was one of my very first, but I finally got a picture of it.) I'm working on making some culottes to go with the halter top. I'm not sure how they will look together though, might be a bit too psychedelic.
I guess I'll just have to finish them to find out. ![]()

I finished this teddy bear a couple of days ago. It's for a one year old, so I didn't put anything on it that could come loose and be a choking hazard. I'm hoping to get it mailed out later this week.

blue with metaliic-type threads
cool socks!
I tried to knit once. Couldnt get it
I will stick to crochet and cross stitch. Right now I am working on baby blankets {crochet} and African Lions {cross stitch}.
Very cute hat.
It looks like a perfect Easter hat. I'll have to try to make one myself.
I made my self a badly needed sun hat. I just love it. I have lupus, and the Drs tell me it's important that I ware a hat every day, especially during the summer. The brim is supposed to be at least 5" I have such a hard time finding one I actually like. I really like this one! I'm so excited. I hate having to ware a hat I feel like I look stupid in. This one actually looks cute on me. It's a bit floppier than I like, but a little bit of starch should fix that. Here's a picture of the hat I made.and the pattern I used.
I checked out that octopus pattern. Your's looks better. I didn't like that pink one. I'll have to keep that somewhere for future reference.
When it comes to making something bigger, like a sweater, you just have to remember that if it doesn't work out, or if it doesn't fit right, you can either donate it or take it apart and start over. That's one of the things I like about crochet. You can take it apart and use the yarn for another project. When I sew, if I don't like how it turns out I usually have to toss it. That's a terrible waste of fabric. (But I don't often have that problem.)
I thought the colors in your sweater were so pretty, bright and cheerful. I would be proud of it to if I had made it. I haven't made any type of clothing for my self yet except for socks. I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to making anything very large. I need to get over that though.
I used this pattern for the octopusif your interested.
Great gifts. I love the octopus. It's so cute.
The sweater I made was crocheted. It took a very long time, but I'm very proud of it. It's very warm too.

I finally got around to taking pictures of the projects I've been working on. The first picture is of the gifts I made for the friend with the baby. while my son was sick, I didn't really have time to crochet, and right now my arthritis is bothering me. I decided not to make anything for the daddy. Instead I bought a small figurine and I'm including a card saying it's a good daddy trophy. I have to get the package mailed out today or tomorrow b/c the baby is about to out grow what I made for him. My husband said he would like a new hat though, so I'm going to make the hat pattern for him. ![]()
The second picture is of the cloth pads I made for my daughter. (I made 12) They were a gift to celebrate her having her first cycle. I let her pick the flannel (she chose Siamese cats, b/c that's the type of cat we have) and she just loves them. She said her friends all think there cool and want some to. LOL
You should be able to click on the pictures to make them bigger.
COOL BEANS!!!!!!!
Hey Dolores, remember that yellow yarn I picked up for a sweater? Well I finished it. Here it is:

Thanks for your admiration. It really means alot to me.
Actually, I do want to give you the blue wrap that I made. Let me know when you will be home. I'd like to drop it off. (I won't make you keep it if you don't really want it though.
)
By the way, I hope your Holidays were wonderful.
Lucky people to get such lovely gifts of your time as well as talent!
Hey all, Happy Holidays!! I have a couple more pictures of some gifts that I made this past holiday.

The wrap ended up a bit longer than I anticipated, but she seemed to love it any way.
The hat and scarf are made out of fleece. The crocheting part was the easy part. I had to cut the fleece into one long strip to make it like yarn.
I don't recommend this project unless you have alot of time and patience. It was a big hit though. Everybody loved it.![]()
VERY COOL!!!
The poncho looks very nice....I remember you said the yarn was difficult to work with but the results are impressive, I cant wait to see it in person!
The wrap is interesting, what stitches did you use to make these beautiful articles?
![]()
Who said I was normal!! ![]()
They did take a long time to do. When I first started stitching I started on small projects. I thought my mom was crazy for doing it and she said just try it! I believe I did a christmas ornament for the first project. Now my daughter, who was 11 when she started, is cross stitching too. Her first project was a christmas ornament too, which hangs on my tree every year. She is 17 now, and has done a stitch I have never done, called couching. Its kinda like outlining or backstiching, but instead going around the object, the lines go through it. EX: lines on a flower vase for decoration. I would post a picture but she gave it as a gift to her girlfriend, who LOVED it.
Take care and come back soon. When you finish your poncho come back and tell us about it or post a pic!
