I am currently working on a counted cross stitch picture of a Thomas Kinkade painting.

How about you?

I just recently finished a cardigan style, granny square sweater. I'm going to try to get a picture of it today. Now I'm working on a sleeveless, pullover sweater for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Plus I'm going to go to the store to pick out some fabric to make a scarf for my husband's grandma. I also made three bracelets and a pair of earrings for xmas gifts too. I love making gifts. Everybody loves the homemade stuff.

Wow! I understand Thomas Kinkade's stitches are not the easiest. Good for you for tackling that! I love his paintings and would love to stitch some of them one day. I'm working on a cross stitch for my dad for Christmas.

A sweater

Hi, I've been working on a knitted sweater for a while but because I'm cross stitching cards as well it's taking me a long time to do both.
The Kinkade picture is really gorgeous. Looks like it would take a long time to stitch.
I really like the tatted stars too. I taught myself how to tat but don't do too much of it. I can't get the hang of joining a circle without twisting the stitch.

I keep telling myself that one day I will learn to tat...........

Thanks for the kudos on the Kinkade painting, it did take a long time to do and even longer to find a frame I liked!

Several projects on the go at once!

I finished a Fair-Isle beret in shades of purple, lilac and blue. I am knitting a Fair-Isle sweater for my partner, which unfortunately will not be ready in time for the Holidays!!

I am also making a rug.

i am Knitting a Harry Potter scarf for my husband.  I am almost half way through and started 2 weeks ago.  For those who don't know that scarf it is 4 inches of Red and  4 inches of yellow stripes with a total of 16 stripes in all.  So it is going to be 64 inches long.  And I am almost done with the 8th stripe.  Well back to knitting I go.

So, how is everyone doing with their projects? I finished and framed that Thomas Kinkade and will post a picture on the finished projects thread. (If I havent already LOL) I am now working on "Amazing Grace". It is a picture of the song lyrics in sheet music format....I guess thats how I would describe it.

My turn

Oh gosh. I was working on a couple of teddy bears for an upcoming craft sale next July, but I found out that the sale had been cancel. But I do have two bears that need to be finish.

I am also working on a hat and scarf set for one of my penpals as a Christmas present. It is best to work on it now than rushing it at the end of the year.

As well as I decide it was time to finish a baby blanket for my girlfriend. She had a stillborn a couple of years ago and I know both her and her husband still grieved for that child, but I think the time is right to finish it. Give it to them and they can either keep it or donated it in his honor.

Wow, there are some beautiful designs here. Mine are no where near that beautiful. I'm making a sweater at the moment. There are soem other things on the go but to get to them I have to open the cabinet without being taken out by falling balls of yarn.

Hey Dolores,

Your Girlfreinds cross-stitch is coming along nicely. Looks awesome so far. Can't wait to see the finished project.

I myself am teaching myself how to knit. I made a scarf for myself and now am working on one for someone I know. (She's willing to pay for it!)

I'll try to get a picture of it when I can. I'm also looking for some ideas as to what to do with a bunch of shells I got from Florida. If anybody has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.

Why I dont come here much anymore....it took almost 1/2 an hour to upload those two photos and post them here.  I feel like I am on dial-up!

I spend most of my time now on Facebook, more people, better groups IMO

If anyone want to come over look me up last name Hager

Currently I have a few projects going: two crocheted scarves (one for my daughter, one for me); a garter stitch scarf (will learn to knit if it kills me); a crocheted toy snake for my nephew, a counted-cross stitch insert for a scrapbook album cover that I want to sew; and a felt banner from Herrschner's that says "Happy Halloween" - it's the kind where you sew on sequins and beads. My daughter and I have started craft painting together after dinner, too. Painting little cardboard boxes and bits of wood to use as gift boxes and tags for the holidays.
