I am currently working on a counted cross stitch picture of a Thomas Kinkade painting.
How about you?
I just recently finished a cardigan style, granny square sweater. I'm going to try to get a picture of it today. Now I'm working on a sleeveless, pullover sweater for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Plus I'm going to go to the store to pick out some fabric to make a scarf for my husband's grandma. I also made three bracelets and a pair of earrings for xmas gifts too. I love making gifts. Everybody loves the homemade stuff.
Kinkade isnt too bad.
I have done one other before the one I am working on now
Here is a picture of the first one I did:

The Kinkade picture is really gorgeous. Looks like it would take a long time to stitch.
I really like the tatted stars too. I taught myself how to tat but don't do too much of it. I can't get the hang of joining a circle without twisting the stitch.
I keep telling myself that one day I will learn to tat...........
Thanks for the kudos on the Kinkade painting, it did take a long time to do and even longer to find a frame I liked!
Several projects on the go at once!
I finished a Fair-Isle beret in shades of purple, lilac and blue. I am knitting a Fair-Isle sweater for my partner, which unfortunately will not be ready in time for the Holidays!!
I am also making a rug.
So, how is everyone doing with their projects? I finished and framed that Thomas Kinkade and will post a picture on the finished projects thread. (If I havent already LOL) I am now working on "Amazing Grace". It is a picture of the song lyrics in sheet music format....I guess thats how I would describe it.
Let me know what you are all up to!
let me see i have finished ponchos finally for the grandbabies, done mittens and booties, now working on a knitted hoodie vest for grandchubba j,4 then have to start on cot quilts for the grandies as it is still freezing in aus at present
Oh gosh. I was working on a couple of teddy bears for an upcoming craft sale next July, but I found out that the sale had been cancel. But I do have two bears that need to be finish.
I am also working on a hat and scarf set for one of my penpals as a Christmas present. It is best to work on it now than rushing it at the end of the year.
As well as I decide it was time to finish a baby blanket for my girlfriend. She had a stillborn a couple of years ago and I know both her and her husband still grieved for that child, but I think the time is right to finish it. Give it to them and they can either keep it or donated it in his honor.
Wow, there are some beautiful designs here. Mine are no where near that beautiful. I'm making a sweater at the moment. There are soem other things on the go but to get to them I have to open the cabinet without being taken out by falling balls of yarn.
Sorry I havent been around much, I finished "Amazing Grace", framing is always the hard part for me
. But I started a new project, one I plugged a picture into my PCStitch software here is a picture of the converted pattern in virtual stitches
Hi all!
I have been working on my girlfirends cross-stitch and here is how far I am now. Hope all of you have a great holiday!
Hey Dolores,
Your Girlfreinds cross-stitch is coming along nicely. Looks awesome so far. Can't wait to see the finished project.
I myself am teaching myself how to knit. I made a scarf for myself and now am working on one for someone I know. (She's willing to pay for it!)
I'll try to get a picture of it when I can. I'm also looking for some ideas as to what to do with a bunch of shells I got from Florida. If anybody has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.
OH MY! I have been bad. I finished the Girlfriends and am almost finished with my next project. I am having trouble uploading the Girlfriends, will try again later.
Why I dont come here much anymore....it took almost 1/2 an hour to upload those two photos and post them here. I feel like I am on dial-up!
I spend most of my time now on Facebook, more people, better groups IMO
If anyone want to come over look me up last name Hager
