 We all know that, at times, things may seem as if no one cares, or maybe you or a loved one, whether they be human or fur, needs for others who care to pray. We are here for each other. Please do not ever hesitate to ask for prayers from your fellow Cat Lovers.

These first posts on this new thread have been brought over from the last one.

Now please join me in some thank our prayers for Gable's ongoing recovery. 

Today, I  had to put him on his long leash to go out the front door to the potty.  Ever since he was hurt we have just been taking him out loose. He couldn't walk well enough to go anywhere but to do the necessaries.

But no more!!  Thank you Lord.  today he wanted ot go see the neghbors on either side!  And he felt well enough to gripe at Maxim!

I am praying more for your baby. I am so sorry. I think we discussed the fact that there was no feces since he is vomiting it up. Any time a cat doesn't eat for days or can't get the nutrients, the liver will be affected. I don't think it is the herpes eye. My last little guy had that, and the Idoxuridine cleared it up. They usually get the rhino virus before that happening.  I am so sad for you, but let's just pray more for your guy.

Esta, I will pray for you too, in this very difficult situation and for your dear little Java.

Hi dear friends

If it weren't for you wonderful cat lovers I would be going crazy.

I spoke to the vet again today, she said that today Java had diahrrea (sp?) and it threw her for a loop.  I don't know if this is good or bad. But she said she wants to keep him there and will know more tomorrow.  I am praying and praying that this was a good sign not a bad one.  I am praying that he eats and eats and has a normal bowel movement.

Today my other kitty, Ms. Tish threw up, but she gorged herself and I am praying that nothing is wrong with her either.

Oh boy I know that God is hearing our prayers and somehow he will heal my little Java.

ESTA: Please keep us informed. I do hope the diarreah is a good sign. I would think that, at least pooping now is a good thing.

 I'm so happy to here that Java is doing better and I hope you get to bring him home tomorrow thank you for keeping us updated on how he is doing .
 My blessing on him and all your fur babies as well as you and your family always.

Thank you all for praying for my Java and with all your prayers I just know that I will have him back home tomorrow and just love him to pieces.

Oh my, I can see it now, your kitty will wind up back at the vets because he was kissed until he fainted.

The diarreah  can also mask constipation. Your kitty could have a stool there too dry to pass, and the water goes around it, However, on the bright side, diaarhea is natures way of ridding your kitty of toxins in there. It can be a good thing.

Fever is also a good thing. It shows that the body is still able to fight infection.

I hope and pray your baby comes home tomorrow, and as for your other kitty, well, if she ate too much she will throw up. Cats throw up so darn much, don't they. If it isn't for one reason, it is for the other.

Hi thanks again for your reply.  You are so knowledgable it is amazing.  I think you know more than the vets.

Anyway yes, cats do sure throw up alot, but it is funny cause Java never used to throw up that much until about a month ago.

Ms.Tish was always the one and always hair balls.

I just am praying that the little guy can come home tomorrow and that he will be ok.  I don't want him to be uncomfortable ever.

I'm no vet but this is really sounding strange to me I really think you need to just take Java to another vet and get her checked out to me something just doesn't seem right with what is going I don't know if any one else will agree with me or not and it really doesn't matter to me if they do I'm just giving you  my opinion on this take and it's really up to you what you want to do to me it sounds like the vet is trying to take advantage of you not to sound cruel but to be realistic if you where going to have to force feed  and cat for the rest of it's life I think most vets would tell you that it would better to go a head and put it to sleep I'm sorry if I offend any one but that's the way things are in the real world and I have had to have some of my fur babies put down because of sicknesses I do believe it is better then having them suffer for years and if you asked me well if it was human would you do that my answer would be the same no I'm not cold hearted and the only reason we don't do it to humans is because we are stupid but that's another story all together Esta I'm not trying to mean or cruel here just putting it bluntly something most people won't do I don't like the idea of any animal suffering nor do I like any one taking advantage of another persons love for something and like I said and some of the other people in here have something just doesn't seem right I say you go tomorrow and take your cat and go to another vet and see what they say.
 I truly am sorry if I offend any one with what I say but I believe in being straight forward with people I would rather hurt some ones feeling and have them know the truth then to just lead them on I believe if your friends are really true to you they are going to tell you things that hurt but it's only because they don't want to see you suffering from a lie.
 I really do hope in my heart of hearts that Java will be ok and you can take her home soon and I send all my blessing out to you and your family that all will be well.

I am certainly not offended and I am beginning to wonder about this myself.  Actually I just spoke to another vet a wonderful woman that I know from N.Y.  She was very encouraging so we will see what happens. 

I believe you are right though, if my little fur baby is suffering there is no way that I would want to see that happen.  So I am going to  call tomorrow again or go over there.  Thank you so much for your input

I too would like to see you get a second opinion from another vet.  Yes, the fatty liver could very well be starting, as I think it actually starts around 4 days with no food, and if your Java is not getting enough or has thrwon up what he had, it is very possible, but I also have a bad and uncomfortable feeling with this vet. She is going to give you an awful bill too , and incomplete information. She told you that you will have to feed him the rest of his life, but never said why.  Unless this is because he has fatty liver starting.

I would get him to another vet if I was you. She is wasting your time, and that is not to mention Java's time, and she thought nothing of not returning your calls.

Yep, more prayers are needed, and I will pray that another vet can save your baby.

Yes I agree    but she did say that she thinks it is fatty liver syndrome.  That is why they are force feeding him so he keeps food down.  I was there before and they said maybe he could come home tomorrow.  If he does and if he still throws up and no poop he will definitely see anoter vet.

My kitties love tuna. When I open a can they go nuts. I give them each a very small piece. It's not really good for them as it is loaded with ash and magnesium which helps to cause urinary blockage (crystals). I just found out a couple years ago that not only males get this but females can also.

Hi yes i never give my cats seafood, as Ms.Tish has been alergic to it since she was a kitty.  But lately when I look at the ingredients in the foods, and i only give them something made with chicken it now has fish oil and fish meal in it.  I have since stopped giving it to them, but I am thinking that maybe that is what happened to Java cause I just noticed recently when I look at the can that it contained that.

I am just hoping that this little guy comes home today   -   Praying for it.

I will pray for Java and the other kitty. Please let me know how they are doing!! I hate to hear that you have 2 cats sick because when I had one cat sick that was hard enough on me!!  Why are thy doing surgery to get the blockage out??  Couldn't they give him something to make him go to the bathroom, like some kind of laxative?  I really don't understand.  My prayers are with you!!

Java wasn't going to the bathroom even after an enema.  He was throwing his poop up.  That is why he had the surgery which I am hoping heals him.  I just feel bad he had to go through this.

Please could you pray for my brother David, he has stage 4 lung cancer, has never smoked, needs to get to know the Lord better toooooooooo... They lived close to mine dumps, and he thinks that the wind blew all the toxins into their area....  Many thanxxx to you all... so appreciated... Hugs to you Gaily

I am praying for your brother. It is especially important that he accepts Christ as his savior. Plant the seed, and Jesus will water it.

Gaily, your brother is in my prayers   I ask for prayers for my good friend Michael, who also is dying from cancer, and needs the comfort and peace that prayers can bring. He has so much anger that he needs to be able to let go of. Also for his wife, my very dear friend Kathy, who is caring for him at home in his final days.

You know that you both have my sincerest prayers for healing

I am so sorry Deb. I was just sitting here praying, and then I went on to the next post and saw that he passed away.  I suppose praying for comfort and peace would bring on a closer passing than longer suffering. I now pray that the friends and family will be at peace now, and will come to acceptance. He is no longer suffering. I hate cancer.

WE HAD TO FEED SAMMY THROUGH A TUBE.HE TOOK IT OUT HIMSELF WHEN HE GOT BETTER. SO KEEP THE FAITH.......
