front lawn again
I like this driveway photo. I love long driveways, and especially with trees.
Oh my gosh Donna , the one photo was terrible, the water so fast flowing , ti caused a waterfall affect, no wonder it took Sugar ages to clear up. good job the cats and chewy were ok , thanks for sharing the photos Donna, poor Sugar.- come on care2 un-ban her x wendy k x
Whoa!!! Poor Sugar! When did this happen, Donna? I love long driveways, too, but I prefer them without all the water
I don't know when they had their floods, but she is still cleaning up.
Donna, tell Sugar were thinking of her. Glad everyone is okay!
Donna, thanks for the pictures. Tell Sugar I am thinking about her. That is a terrible flood, you said she is still cleaning up did it go into her home or was it confined to the yard? It's good to know that all her kitties and Chewy are ok. At a time when she could use some comfort from her friends I can't believe care2 still has her locked out!!
OMG!!!! Poor Sugar. Tell her she's in my thoughts and prayers. I agree with everyone else that I'm glad she, her cats, and Chewy are okay. I also want to know did it get in her home or was it confined to the yard? Hope she's able to get back into Care2 soon.
So sorry Sugar is flooded to.Big hugs & good thoughts & prayers for her.Glad everyone is ok but takes time, energy & money to clean up,hope she will be back soon she is missed
Thinking of Sugar daily. Hoping and praying that she'll be back with us soon.
Oh, how terrible! I remember Mouse saying in his thread that his litter box was floating. Now that a CATastrophe!
Seriously, I hope Sugar has gotten things cleaned up andthat she will soon be able to get aback on Care2 with us.
Sugar, that looks horrendous. I hope that you´re getting back to normal.
Thank you Donna for posting.
Yes, thank you Donna for posting those pics of how bad her area is flooding. Prayers out to you Sugar and that things will get back in order. Glad to her your okay and fur babies are too. Hope you get un-banned soon. We miss you Sugar.
I just want to let you know that Sugar has not been banned from care2. She is just stuck in no where land since she cannot log in when it says she is logged in, and so until care2 helps her, she just can't post. She keeps getting directed to the log in page.
We are about baked here in the North east. It is a code orange alert today. Bad air too. It is suppose to be heading south in the next few days. We need some kind of snow or something.
Oh my gosh Sugar.....what an awful flood!! There has been so much flooding this year, causing so much expense and destruction all over. I don't envy you having to clean it up....wish I lived closer so I could give you a hand!!
Hopefully Care2 will let you back in today!!
Oh my!!! That's one heck of a flood! Just glad you are all OK. Sending thoughts your way and missing you.
Wow, that's a nasty flood.
The fast moving water was in my front yard. The quiet water backed up into my basement and garage. It was just overflow out of the fast moving water that had no where else to go but my basement!!!!. I found a little mold in my garage but the basement looks great. I've already started working on it.
Did you have a lot of rain or something that caused the flood?
You bet Laura, we had 4 1/2 to 5 inches of rain in an hour. What a mess! We had another pretty bad storm yesterday, but everything is okay.
Wow that is alot of water, here its the other way around the rivers are so dry here now been having a terribal heat here and hardly any rain, and the little rain that came did not seem to make a difference.. I hope you are all well..
Wow, that's a lot of rain. It rained here again this morning. It rained so hard that I lost my Internet connection for a bit, but it came back up.
Wow poor Sugar, glad you are doing ok though thankfully. We had Sandy here and flooding everywhere last fall so I feel your pain Glad that all your furkids are ok too.
Hi Missy, Laura and Kristi. Kristi, thanks for your kind thoughts, but compared to Sandy mine was nothing. But with what I had, I can appreciate what you went through better. I would still rather have flooding than fire.
Hi, Sugar. How was your day today? I'm off to Kiawah Island tomorrow.
Day was good Laura except poor little Wosie has an ear infection. I wish Chewy and I were going with you to Kiawah Island! Have a great day,
That's too bad. What did the vet prescribe? We had a great day. We have our own condo and there are lots of deer around here. We saw a buck nibbling on some tender green plants right outside mom and dad's bedroom window, and when we were driving around after dinner, we saw a mother and father deer with their fawn. The fawn looked really good. He is still young and has spots.
I think you sendt the flood to me we are currently having bad thunderstorms, loads of rain and eletriserty problems.. so not to much online as I like to unplug things.. lucky I live ontop of a mountain so the rain don't flood me down.. but the thunder O.O
Missy, you are a mountain Mama ? Mountain lions and bears !!! and snakes???
I hate snakes.
were I live in Norway, we have vipers here but they are not that harmful I like snakes, we dont have bears or wolf in my area but we have wolverines, and the lynx is not in this area. I live in a area we call Jearen, its totaly flat until you get a few miles inlands and poff loads of moutins.. I live on the first mountain so I have a wonderful view of the North sea.. and loads and loads of wind! so Its not a big mountain.. but sins its the "first" it tall engogf for me

Where in Norway are you from, Missy?
I come from the wonderful town of Stavanger, then I moved around alot when I married.. then we settled on a area called Jaeren, its on the west coast of Norway, if you look at a map look for a place called Egersund, I live a bith North for Egersund in a place so small that is probly not on the maps I will post some photos of my area one day
What do you like to do there when you're not on Care2?
What I like to do... well I have a my job, and then i have my kids, and husband and a new house so I got lots of work there.. I make all the food from scratch so that takes time.. I make jam, and bread and such as-well.. But on my "free" time I read books, I play computer games, I needlepoint and watch tv.. so not alot of action lol, but I aslow like hiking and such but that's more a family activity and we go fishing...
what do you like to do when your not on care2?
Missy you sound like I used to be, making my own jellies, bread, etc. from scratch. Since my husband Ray died I have just about quite all that stuff. I take care of 5 acres, my home and of course my little furkids! I cook a little now, not much though. I just lost that desire.
Sugar you sound like my grandmother, she hardly cook anymore like you she lost her the desire.. she used to be a great cook so she has learned me many things just like my mom.. you sound like you have your hands full with you cats and large land.. I have no Idea how big a acres is.. have to Google it..
and why I make things from scratch Well I think it has alot to do with my upbringing, my dad has wheat intolerance so hardly any food that was processed was something he could eat, so my mom learned me to make things.. I dont like salt, so I feel alot of the processed food is to salty also and when read what they put in bread I am just like ummm that's a long list for a bread.. Just as I think its odd that jam you get in the store has less berrys then any other things.. so why not make it yourself? its fun for the kids aswell.. when they help make the food its less scary to eat.. when we visited my mother in law she had made a quick dish some sort of hotdog thing that came from a can.. my kids were like O.O what is this.. they are picky in some ways.. but I always say the "unormal" way.. they love fish and if we go to mc donalds they only eat the carrots.. and the fry's if they are not salted..
when I was at the hosptial when I had my first child she was sick and I was living at the hospital with her.. in Norway when you have a sick child you get to stay with your child and you get food and such.. so I would get these food stamps.. but I could not eat the dinner it always tasted like salt.. remember when it was new years eve so I thought oki lets try the turkey I could not eat it even my husband who is a salt lover found it to salty.. when he grew up they would even put salt on their apples! but I love salt on popcorn.. guess I am funny..
anyways have a nice day everyone
What sort of bread do you like to make, Missy? What are your favorite books? I like to watch movies, watch t.v, read, listen to music, go on Facebook, go on Fanfiction.net, take pictures with my digital camera, travel, visit our neighbor's horses, eat out, and shop, but not so much for clothes, I mainly shop for tea at Teavana, Moose Munch and other goodies at Harry and David, but the stores that are in Florida have long since gone out of business, so the only one left is in Ohio where my mom's friend Tami lives, and I also like visiting my grandma at Lakewood Ranch.
Laura I go to Harry and David. They are expensive so I don't buy much there. Just a small treat now and then.
Missy I use very little salt too. One of the worse is Panera Bread's chicken noodle soup. It's briny. Their bread and scones are great.
Have a good day everyone.
I must honestly say I never heard of those stores and noodles, here in Norway I shop at Rema and Coop, regular food stores, rema is a low price one and at coop I get more of the not so normal items.. and I shop alot in what we call Asian stores were they have alot of nice spice and such..
The bread I bake is... lemme just Google what the grain is called in english I make Rye bread, and I make alot of oat bread thats whats in the oven now.. I dont use seeds and such as my cute hubby dont like the seeds as they get stuck in his teeth He works at a store so he cant have seedy teeth.. But I love just munching on sunflower seeds
And about books.. O.O I read to much.. I used to purches books but when I packed them down when we moved I had 15bananaboxes with books.. soo I had to start getting them at the libarrey.. but I read alot of crime books, horror, thrillers... I read many things.. my favorite autors are many but I like Agata Criste, Steven King, Mary higgens clark, Dean R Conz, Tom Clancy, Allistar Mclane, Desmod Bagly, and many many more.. and I read alof of Nordic Books like from Anne Holt, Jostein Gaarder, Margit Sandermo ect ect.. and many books I cant remeber the autor from..
I just read a wonderful sad story about a little girl she lives at a trailer park, her mom gets a new boyfriends and leaves the child with a old African American woman up the street.. and they get this wonderful bond.. and the book is about how their relationship gowes and you get flashbacks to this older womans life.. cant remeber what its called.. but it was a book that made me cry smile and think..
have a wonderful day everyone..
They are a bit expensive, but it's fun to go there. Mom went to Orlando today because Dad had a meeting for work and she bough my German Rock Cane sugar from Teavana and it is a good batch and has lots of molasses in it.
