Well, it's always rough to start a new thread b'cuz of all the wonderful photos but it's time to do so as the previous thread is getting very long. Please go back and check out all the fabulous photos in the previous thread. Here's the link ~
I found this little cricket on my fuschia flowers. Hope you can see it.
Wanted to put here another pic of my fuschia flowers. I just think they are so pretty.
I love Fuschias Sally, I planted them in hanging baskets with the kids at work, they are fab, double flowers, the kids water them , it's their job to tend the few beds that we did, and water the hanging baskets, we also planted herbs in big plastic cups, those stay on the window sills in the hall , we devised a rota, so all the kids that helped get their day to be responsible, for the plants, they have to tick the chart, measure the plants to see how much they have grown, then write it up on the chart. It helps them have responsibility for something living, that relies on them , most of the kids have never been given responsibility for anything, this is a good way of seeing what they can do, I check the chart weekly, and sign it , so far my remarks have all been positive -( excellent etc),- with plants, the kids see the results of their care, and what happens when plants are not cared for , best thing is, the kids dont even get they they are learning about caring for something other than themselves!!!
I will tell them next week I was looking at fuschias , grown by someone I know who lives in Hawaii , they will be impressed lol x wendy k x
Your fuschia flower are really pretty, Sally. And yes, I do see the cricket!
Sally, your fuschias are beautiful. Yes, I can see the cricket.
Wendy, great idea you had with your kids to have them tend to the plants like that! Way to teach them about responsibility.
Betty, great to see you here.
Sally, your fuchias are very beautiful, I have always loved them as they were my great grandmothers favourite flower. Thanks for the pic and yes I see the cricket too, he is cute.
Wendy~ What a fantastic idea you have with teaching the kids to care for the plants. Love it.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I do love how the fuschia looks.
Sally love your fusihia my mom used to have them.. and I used to love popping them.. if you press the bud hard it makes a popping sound and opens up.. ofc my mom did not like it... but I was a kid...

Missy, those flowers look like ones I have here that someone told me were called Bleeding Hearts. I love all the flower pics. The colors are so brilliant.
A rose for everyone ....
Missy~ I love those heart flowers. Makes me want to go find some to plant around here as well.
Deb E. ~ Thank you for the beautiful rose.
Missy, love the Lieutenant heart flowers. They're beautiful.
Deb, the rose is beautiful too.
Sally, may you find some heart flowers to plant.
Very pretty flowers.
I had to post our donkey crossing sign. You don't commonly see this around here. Mostly on the hot dry side of the island. They are for the wild donkeys that come down off the mountains in the evening time. Hence the nick name the "Nightin' gales", is what they are called.
That is a great sign Sally. We don't have those around here. I like donkey's though, when I visit my mom she has a lot of horse farms around her and they seem to always have a couple of donkey. They are really cute.
Sally, cool sign. It's great how they have the Nightengales nickname.
Michela, great to see you here.
Great sign, Sally.
cute sign sally are the donkys natural from hawaii or is it runaways that has settleld like rabbits in australia?
this is a postcard but it showes the moose sign well however the problem with these signs is that turist finds them decarative so they steal them.. oh well

Laura, great to see you here.
Missy, fabulous sign. Love the moose too. Too bad the tourists steal the signs. That's just plain wrong.
Huge moose, Missy. Where was that taken?
Great Moose sign Missy. The donkeys were brought over to be used and in time they either ran away or let loose. So they are now a part of this island.

These are my guppies that you see in the fish bowl above. They will let me know when it is time for them to be fed. They will come right up to the glass and keep looking at me. The water is a little cloudy right now, about time to change the water. Not easy trying to take a pic of the fishes but I did it.
Laura that is a postcard but its from Norway
Sally I love your fish me and my sister had a small fish tank when we were kids and we had guppys then when they had babys the male fish ate them! But we had a huge fishtank and I loved watching them my favorite fish was Angel fish I think they are called in english..
Oh, really? I hope to go to Norway someday.
This is of my red and pink looking Ti leaf plant that I have growing in my backyard. I like the color of it.
This is another plant, blooming orange flowers right now. I think it is called Monte Brettia, I'm sure there is a common name for it.It grows wild around here but I decided to plant it in a spot where I don't mind.
I know I posted this one up before but now it is in full bloom as you can see. These are the tiny orchids.
Wow, Sally. Great picture.
sally love your flowers your garden must be amazing..
Laura if you ever go to Norway I hope you enjoy your stay
Sally, love the picture of your guppies and your flowers are gorgeous, I especially love the tiny orchids. No, it's not easy to get a picture of fish. Ray tried real hard to get a picture of his biggest clown loach. We have several pictures of our aquarium but I can't download new photos into my Care2 photo album so I can't post any new photos.
Great to see everyone else here.
I'm not sure when we will go, Missy, but it will probably be when Viking starts the ocean cruises.
Darla~ I'm having trouble downloading new pics to my Care2 photo album right now. I don't know if it is Care2 changing things or maybe my album was full, not sure. So what I did was go to my photobucket account, downloaded them there and was able to copy and paste here or even get the HTML code to do it. It works.
Sally, I don't do photobucket. What all does that do? Is it something you have to add to your computer? I may check it out and see what it is. As for HTML codes go, I'm lost there.
Laura, great to see you here.
Great to be here, Darla.
Darla~ Just look up photobucket.com. You don't have to download anything. It is a place where you can start compiling photos there as well, making albums. If you already have loaded photos onto your picture file on your computer you can just get it from there to add to photo bucket. I just don't know what went on with the Care2 photo album, I'll give it a test try again later. I'm still learning things here myself and it can be pretty confusing.
Sally, all your flowers are gorgeous. I love your little guppies, I use to have a few aquariums set up and I miss having them.
Great to see everyone here.
Sally, I'll do that. Thanks.
I tried to use Photobucket, Darla, and it was just too frustrating for me so I deleted my account.
Laura~ I do have to agree with you. Photo bucket can be confusing but if you work with it long enough, eventually you'll figure things out. Basically it is dragging your pics that you have downloaded on your computer to the photobucket page and loading them up from there. Your computer must be able to open up new tabs if you can understand that. But everyone has a way of doing whats comfortable to them. What may work for one may not work for the other, is always my motto.
I'll try it again when I have more time to work with it.
Ok guys, I checked with Zen on the "Need Help" threads on Care2. She says it is not only me having problems uploading photos to their photo album. It is a engineering problem that they are having right now with it. Zen suggested to go with photobucket or Flikr , I think that is how you spell, for making a photo album for now to use. Just letting everybody know in case they are wondering why they can't load any photos to their album here on Care2. It is a bummers.
Thanks Sally for that info about the Care2 photo albums. I still haven't checked out Photobucket but I can tell you if it is confusing then I'll have a hard time using it as I just can't seem to wrap my brain around confusing thing anymore. I can't even rember from one time to th enext how to download pictures from my camera to the computer so I have Ray do it for me. I have some minor brain damage from a car accident I was in ~ my brain scans as abnormal and I have memory problems.

Thanks Donna for the explanation of it. I was never one to be good in explaining things.
Darla~ That is okay, I understand. Sometimes those new cell phones with the fancy apps and so forth on there, forget it, you'll never see me have one of those things. LOL.
Sorry y'all, I forgot to check in here the past few days.
Donna, thanks for the explanation.
Sally, I know what you mean. Ray keeps threatening to get me one and disxconnect our home phone but I tell him I don't need or want a fancy cell phone. If he did get me anything I'd just want the very basic model!
Darla~Absolutely agree with you there. I have a hard enough time with my daughter's cell phone on where you just touch this or that and I'm afraid I might do something wrong. Well, no new pics I guess. I don't know if Care2 fixed our photo album problem here yet, so I'll just use photobucket for now.

I put some pictures in my 555 account. Here is the brother of my deceased buck.
Love the deer picture. Sorry to hear of his brother being gone. I think it is just neat to see deer in your yard. Your so blessed.
Sally, yeah, I leave the cell phone to Ray and I use our home phone which is a land line thru the internet. I still can't download pictures into my photo albums.
Sugar, love the picture. Sorry his brother is gone.
Beautiful deer, Sugar.
It worked! Thanks for the explanation about photobucket Just thought I would see if I could do it. This is a close up of one of my Rhodies.
I have those same orange flowers in my yards, Sally. That was a neat pic of them. Sugar, you must have a good zoom ... or do you get that close to those deer? Also a neat picture
Deb, actually I can get pretty close to the deer. They know me as they were born and raised here and have been fed all their life by me. I do keep a certain distance from them because they are still wild animals as much as they seem tame. I'm expecially careful around the bucks. And they will be a little more dangerous soon as the rutting season is just around the corner.
Very playful. Actually the doe is telling the buck, "Out of my corn".
Is this guy handsome or not?
Doe and fawn
Laura, great to see you here.
Deb, beautiful picture of your rhodie.
Sugar, gorgeous pictures. The deer and bird are magnificent. Love the doe and fawn. And it's great that you can get fairly close to the deer.
Love the pictures of the deer, Sugar, especially the fawn.
Deb~ The Rhodendron flower is really pretty. I have the pink and orange flowers. Glad you figured out how to use photobucket..
Sugar~ Love the deetr pics and how wonderful you can get close to them since they all know you from when they where born. But yes, they are still part of the wild and have to be careful. That black bird a crow or raven?
Hi Sally, the bird is a crow and they just stole Foxy's food before she could get here. Oh well. the food didn't go to waste.
Hi Laura, Darla. The fawn is one of the twins. The first time mama brought them to see me they were scared of me! They stomped their little feet and threw their little white flag of a tail in the air. Now they have come by themselves a couple of times. No longer are they scared.
Hi, Sugar. I have seen a few baby deer up close.
