Wendy, the first thread is getting to be very long so I'm starting a new thread. Everyone please check out the first thread for all kinds of good information and post new information here. Here's the link for the first thread ~
I found this great site with an equally great visual threads.
Great thanks Summerani, the "how to stop your cat clawing furniture" is fantastic, the same one I reccomended , to Dayna who asked for help; re- cat clawing, i like the info there as it puts the cat first. the info you have found will compliment the first thread , but important for pet owners to see the vet if the cat is ill, and have this info as complimentary also. >and please if your cat goes outside , get him/her micro chipped, my own cat was lost to me for 18 months, i would never have seen her again, if it hadn't been for her microchip, any vet can now scan your cat for them. add your phone number and email too . xwendy k x
p.s the first thread has very good info, which is not added on Summerani's list, so if cat owners have an unusual problem, click on the link, Darla provided for the first thread see if that info can help, but any questions can be posted here all cat owners in this group will try to help, but serious illness >go straight to your vet xxxxx
Thank you Summerannie, those look like great information to check out! Much appreciated.
Wow, thank you all for the information. Always good to know that there are sites to go to and friends here to offer info'. Much appreciated.
Great info thanks Penny,
thought i would add some youtube vids of cats meowing, trouble is I cant add text to a clip, but will do a heading, this first one is obvious, hungry "meows", drove my cats mad, they were searching for the kittens, they could hear, he he he shame , ok coming up, the hungry meow, next post x wendy k x kelly catsxxxxxxxxxxx
just a quick word about purring, cats purr when they are ill, the reason is twofold, they purr because they are happy you are there, and they purr, because the vibration caused by purring actually speeds up healing, and helps with their bone density.
when you hold your cat usually on your lap, the cats purring vibration, can also help you, it helps reduce swelling around joints, and can help with pain relief- good news. !!
.I have to admit, I always feel more relaxed with a cat cosy and content purring on my lap. hope you all enjoy the video clips, I always post , for peope who are new cat owners, knowing, us "old hand" owners will enjoy the posts too, and hopefully add to them , love hugs x wendy k x & kelly cats xxxx
Thanks Penny, and although it is horrible, the truth about de -clawing, it's what happens, we know NO-ONE here would do that end of, !!> but if anyone should ask about it, we can all say, see the information #2 thread , Penny left you in no doubt , it is mutilation . enough said!!!!
Now Sugar mentioned her friends cat , although nuetered had started spraying, I think the male cat >(cause female cats also spray, but it is not that common ) anyway, I think the cat is 18 years old, so I looked up to see how we could help, I found this link, it really is very good, and there is more advice on the website, so anyone having problems with a cat spraying indoors, check out this link. x wendy k x & kelly cats xxxxxxxxxxx
