I'm in PA.
Thank God for heaters and electric blankets.
Unbelievable weather this winter!! Up here in Canada, it has been so cold that I have spent all my time worrying about the animals outside....the temperature outside yesterday morning was -36C (-32.8F), too cold for man or beast!! We already had a good foot of snow on the ground before the ice storm hit a few weeks ago. My son in law came over last week with a pickaxe and cleared pathways for me through the ice on the property so I could get around. The snow that was on the ground is now a foot deep layer of ice and now we have another 6 or 7 inches of powdery snow on top of that. It has been brutal and with all the ice around, I'm thinking the spring thaw might just take until summer to complete
Stay warm and safe everyone!!

Angela, I am sorry it is so cold there. It is really bad here too, I understand about your worrying all the time about the animals outside, I do the same thing and I do all I can but it never seems like enough. I am glad that your son in law was able to help you a little to move around better. It seems like there is no end in sight of this weather. I wonder if the polar bears like it???
You stay warm too and be careful on that ice.
Good afternoon Ladies; Donna, Michela, Angela J, and Ashley; I am so sorry to hear about this brutal cold ...polar vortex, that you all are going thru. I know all of you are concerned for the animals outside, but please be careful when you go out there to care for them, that you do not fall and hurt yourself, Because if you get injured and can not go outside any more, what will happen to them at that time, so please, please, please be very very careful. Sincerely Kay M.
I hope you all are copeing with the snow. I think all weather that you are not used to is hard. Like me I cant take heat! But snow and cold is something I am used to. When its to cold the snow is usless for bulding snowman and such so not so much fun. its best around freezing point.I got a tip. Snuggle under your favorite blanket with something hot (like hot choclate) and read your favorite book or do so knitting or needlepointing. the kids love melting snow on the fireplace and boil it then make snow hot choclate. We are goin on our second week or tird week with storms, and when the snow blowes we cant see a hand before our face. Last winter I was at work in the curch when I was goin home it was a terrbal blizzard and a big trailer was blocking the road. So what normaly takes me 15min took me almost 2 hours! Anyways be safe and warm.
It's pretty chilly here in Florida.
I like snow ice cream!
