from june through 2nd week of decemberof 2008 I was living in my old truck and it aint insulated. terrible way to have to live and sleep cuz you aint makin enuff money to get a place.
finally got a room in an old building for 400.00 a month its warmer than it is out side. it was a round 6 degrees the other night with wind chill at minus 0.............
Not sure how weird this was...more uncomfortable I guess--London Heathrow Airport floor, missed our connection flight, cold summer nite whilst the doors were open?? (No idea why.)
right now Im sleeping in a run down house with flying squirels and other things living in the walls & ceiling. they scare the crap out of me at night. I keep thinking there gonna naw there way through the ceiling and fall on my head and face. the place isnt insulated and is very cold & full of holes in the walls and mold.it is way out in the woods on a muddy driveway(not paved).it is a mile of the paved road . they are tearing it down this summer to make way for condos......
By the way Im working at that crazy house that I mentioned in the past except it is now apartments and they are almost done blding them and hopefully they will find me something else.
reading other peoples posts reminds me of some others on the school bus as a kid, but i doubt thats rare... and in the trunk of a car as a kid. i wanted to "run away" and i knew that my parents would drive down the street looking for me. so i got in the trunk of the van and curled up with my blanket. well i fell asleep and as my parents frantically drove around calling for me, i was out cold, and with them the whole time
I slept on the steps of Santa Croce one of the many churches of Firenze(Florence) once. Ironically enough, being jewish, i dont think i ever even thought to check to see if the church itself was open! I had just finished a semester there, and my bro came over to travel with me, so i got a hotel room at a small family run place. We got there at like 4am and the guy running the place didnt wake up no matter how much we knocked and rang the doorbell and called. We didnt get in until like 7:15 when one of us woke up and checked if the hotel was open yet. We slept on our backpacks lol. Honestly the hotel was a really nice little place when we finally got in! cheap and centrally located too!
Lately through a bad decision I made, Ive found myself not having a permanent place to live which is creeping me out. some nights I'm sleeping in a rented room in a winter rental on the beach and other times Im sleeping with a woman who threw me out of her house after 3 weeks of living with her and when i visit her and help her(she got hurt bad and is using a walker and will be incapacitated for another 6 weeks plus) she is very demanding and very rude and nasty.... yet I put up with it and have even brought her flowers although she definately does not deserve them.............BOY am I weird!!
I have dozed for a very short time in church in the past. hopefully I wont do that at my new church while the service is going on.......hahaha

When I was 17 I worked for a carnival and after they closed for the night a bunch of us were hanging out in the Gravatron ride, I fell asleep there!
Weirdest place you've slept in? July 21, 2006 1:39 AM
was sitting on a 6 ft x 6 ft wooden platform, 40 ft above the tropical ran forest floor on a tree in a wild life sanctuary in south india waiting for tigers to come to their watering hole.. there were thre of us and about half past two in the night all thre of us fell asleep... all we saw of the tigers were pug marks the next morning when we woke up with sunlight on our faces and the sound of birds all around

Let's see... I've slept in all kinds of places... If I have to pick just one, that must be on a bus in the bed of a famous rock star...(not gonna tell you who ) He was not with me there, though... we took turns LOL!
i once fell asleep on a bus. the driver woke me up because it was the end of the line and i was the only one left! lucky thing he was a good guy.

I slept on the White House lawn. Yep, that's my weirdest place, I think. Anyway, It was graduation night 1988, some of my buddies and I had been out drinking in Georgetown. (yes we were legal at 18 ) We were trying to take a bus from georgetown to Alexandria (where I'm from) when we accidently got out on Penn. ave. After waiting in vain for about an hour we walked around and decided to rest on the lawn of the White House. I woke up with sun in my eyes, and tourists staring at us. Quite a few pictures were taken.

there was another building(not where the woman I saw was)that had the ply wood torn off a door way that was bordered up to keep vandles out and I went into investigate. all the power had been turned off years before. it was morning time around 1030 am but it was already very hot outside probably in the eighties in degrees. anyways I went down a hall that was very hot into a pitch black room and through a set of doors(I didnt have my flashlight with me so I cudnt see a thing) when I ended up in that room on the other side of the door it was freezing in there as if I had walked into a freezer. i could feel the hair on my neck stand up and sumthing felt very uncomfortable there in the darkness. I stumbled and groped my way outta the place. I know if the lights had been on I could have seen my breath........surfice to say there was no reason why it could have been so cold in there becuz the power wasnt on, soooooooooo I made darn sure to stay out of that building in the future.....

yes isabel I did see a ghost......I only saw one (even though many folks died at that place and were lobotomized, abused and even raped, killed there...one of the most haunted places in newengland) it was a woman and I saw her many times. she was always in the same building....sometimes she was there and many times she wasnt....one of the other caretakers saw another woman and her child in bedroom attire, on several occasions in the middle of the road (on the property) late at night...

Oh yeah!! forgot that I also fell alseep a number of times at a closed down lunatic asylum or state mental hospital which I worked at as a caretaker and it just happened to be haunted and yes i did see things that others would never admit to see while i was on the grounds........

Ok, one time...and ONLY one time, mind you...I fell asleep while working in a theater, during a show. It was a ballet...not many scene changes, I was up on the rail, sitting in this comfy chair they had up there, waiting for the act to end so I could bring in the curtain. There was a 45 minute act, during which they played this soothing classical music...I fell dead asleep. I had a dream that someone was calling me, woke up and they were shouting for me on headset. I fumbled for a second, then threw the brake off the line and brought the curtain in...someone was already trying to bring it in through the brake. It was REALLY embarassing, but nobody even brought it up after that!

Being insomnia-prone, I have some problems falling asleep other than in a cosy bed. So for me the weirdest spots I fell asleep at were in class and in church (both after 0 hours of sleep during the previous night).
