Here's one my daughter and I just did:
You need:
A Foam Photo Frame
Foam cut-outs
Glue
A photo of your child.
Aside from the photo, you can get all of the above at a rather cheap price at Wal-Mart.
We have a theme of animals that we've been working with and we bought safari animal cut-outs. I put the glue on the frame and let her put the animals on it. She did a wonderful job. We then put a photo of her at the zoo on it and put it on the fridge (the frames have magnet backings as well as hangers) and she's soooo proud of it!!! For older kids, you could get some glitter glue for a more advanced project. :*)

my son likes to draw with his father sometimes I will color with him. We have collected caterpillars to see if they will turn into butterfly's it not easy either. Sam likes to play with linking logs and build homes for his dinosaurs.

We like to use old Christmas and Birthday cards to make other things like post cards, other pictures or glue them onto other things like wooden frames and boxes as gifts.
