  • Metal dip container
  • 3 Small wooden beads
  • Tacky glue
  • 3 Large wooden beads
  • Gray paint or Gesso
  • Paint brush
  • Wax paper or plastic bag (to protect work area) How To Make It
    1. Remove label, wash, rinse, and dry container.
    2. Lay out wax paper or plastic bag (turn wrong side out) to protect work surface.
    3. Paint container and beads with gray paint. Let dry. You may need to apply an additional coat. Let dry.
    4. Turn container upside down and glue on beads, evenly spacing around the outside bottom of the container. Let dry.
    5. Turn container over and fill with gummy rats, bats, frogs, or other things Wizards may enjoy. Have fun at your party!

    Supplies

  • Gummy style frogs
  • Semi-sweet or milk chocolate pieces
  • Use of a microwave
  • Microwavable measuring cup
  • Tea spoon
  • Wax paper
  • Plate
  • Use of a refrigerator How To Make It
    1. Tear off a piece of wax paper and place on plate.
    2. Microwave chocolate pieces in measuring cup in 30 second intervals on medium until it melts. Be careful not to burn it!
    3. Stir chocolate.
    4. Carefully dip the back end of the frog into the chocolate and place on wax-coated plate.
    5. Repeat for remaining frogs.
    6. Place in refrigerator to set the chocolate.

  • Spool of copper wire
  • ruler
  • wire cutters
  • pencil
  • 2-inch polystyrene foam ball
  • Gold or silver glitter
  • white craft glue
  • disposable plate
  • disposable paint brush
  • straight twig, about 18-inches long and 1/2-inch wide
  • Acrylic paint (gold and silver)
  • Paintbrush
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks How To Make It
    1. Measure and cut eight lengths of wire, each 18-inches long.
    2. Tightly wind the wire around a pencil. Leave about 2-inches unwound. Repeat for each length of wire.
    3. Lightly press the polystyrene foam ball onto the end of the stick so that it sinks down about 1-inch onto the stick.
    4. Pour gold or silver glitter onto the plate. Using disposable paint brush, coat the ball with the white glue. Then, roll it in the glitter to coat it well. All to dry completely.

  • dry, open pine cones
  • scissors
  • metallic-colored acrylic paint (gold, red, green, yellow)
  • small paintbrush
  • newspaper How To Make It
    1. Use scissors to cut the scales from the pine cones.
    2. Cover a flat surface with newspaper. Use a small paintbrush to paint one side of the dragon scale. Let dry, then paint the other side. Let dry.

    Supplies

  • mixing bowl
  • large spoon
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon powered cocoa
  • 1 quart light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup non-sudsing soap
  • 1 ounce red food coloring
  • 15-17 drops blue food coloring
  • 1/8 to 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
  • large jar or container with screw-on lid How To Make It
    1. Put the peanut butter and cocoa in the mixing bowl and add the corn syrup until the concoction is runny, mixing everything well with the spoon.
    2. Add the soap and food coloring, and mix well
    3. Add the rest of the corn syrup and the alcohol, and mix well. Pour the mixture into the jar, screw on the top and shake well.
    Notes:This is not edible and it will stain things.

    Supplies

  • medium sized grapevine wreath
  • floral wire
  • 4 yards of 1/4-inch-wide ribbon in multiple colors
  • measuring tape
  • scissors
  • 4 jingle bells
  • various dried or fake flowers How To Make It
    1. Measure and cut four 24-inch lengths of ribbon.
    2. Thread ribbon through top loop of a jingle bell and pull through enough ribbon to loop around wreath. Add the rest of the bells in the same way.
    3. Tread the ends of the ribbon through the loop and tighten, pulling the bell closest the wreath. Tie a simple knot in the ribbon to secure the bell.
    4. Measure and cut a 36-inch length of ribbon. Tie one end with a small knot to the wreath. Wind the ribbon all the way around the wreath. Secure it in place with a simple knot or you can use a glue gun.
    5. Decorate the wretwreathh various dried or fake flowers. Secure in place with floral wire.

    Supplies

  • glass jar or drinking glass
  • bottle of white vinegar
  • large tray
  • food coloring (your choice of color)
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda in a bowl or jar
  • water How To Make It
    1. Fill the jar or glass half full with vinegar. Tell people it is water. Place the jar on the tray.
    2. Add a few drops of food coloring to the jar while you dramatically say, "I command the spirits to make my potion bubble!"
    3. Secretly put some baking soda in your hand and wave it over the potion again. Repeat the command and drop the baking soda into the jar. A cascade of bubbles will fizz out.
    Notes:Because of the food coloring, this potion will stain!

    Supplies
  • 1 Tablet of laxative
  • 1 tb Rubbing alcohol
  • Cotton balls
  • Household ammonia How To Make It
    1. Mash the laxative tablet into the tablespoon of alcohol. Be sure the tablet is entirely dissolved.
    2. Write a message on the paper with paintbrush dipped into the solution. As the solution dries, the writing will disappear.
    3. To develop the message, dampen the cotton ball with liquid ammonia and dab it on the page. The writing will reappear.
