I'm Trudy, also from British Columbia, Canada. I'm known as "Sunshine" to many friends who say the room lights up when I walk in. Perhaps because I smile and laugh a lot. I'm not sure if I'm retired yet, depending on if I can be rehabilitated from an injury. Meantime, I enjoy scrap booking, doing puzzles, researching things on the computer, and tons more. Never bored...or boring! Lol. (I use that a lot, too!) Looking forward to reading and sharing here.

Heather sent me the invite...... joined and it looks like it might be a good place to hang about for a bit.

As for me I've been a lot of things in the work-a-day world.... Head of security for a large bankruptcy firm.... Nurse... Tire Builder....Coroner's office assistant.... Machinist... and more

As well, I've been and in many cases still am... organizer of soup kitchens.... president of Saint Vincent De Paul in my area ... a Biker (yup, one of the 1%.. one of the bad rude boys, though most of us look scary... we're not really, but keep it under your hat)... a Buddhist.... and countless other things

I also teach and write about Buddhism... write on old Sanatana Dharma (Hindu) spiritual books... teach and write about meditation, Advaitism and crazy wisdom........ all under my other name of bhikkhu somanassa. I drive a little too fast on dirt country roads sometimes on my bike (though dirt roads aren't as much fun now without my partner in mayhem, my dog.. who has passed on) and occasionally I do something really wild and crazy that wouldn't look out of place on that MTV show "Jackass".... and much, much more.

So one fact about me..... one funny fact. Well I'm still here, alive, kicking and mad as a hatter. And that I'm still happy as a 2 year old in a big toy-filled sandbox.....(and about as often as irritating as one as well..LOL).
So looking about at all the faces and names here.. I'd say that's also a likely fact about all the rest of us too. We're all still here.. alive and happy as lunatic larks on a spring day.

So a hug to all the other survivors... we've beaten the odds and might even win the game. Yayyyyyyyyyyy for us.
