"We should not hold the middle class hostage while we debate tax cuts for the wealthy. We should at least do what we agree on, and that's to keep middle-class taxes low. And I’ll bring everyone in to sign it right away so we can give folks some certainty before the holiday season." —President Obama on working with Congress to prevent a tax hike for 98% of Americans.

TIME TO CALL YOUR REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN and tell them that we re-elected President Obama for his POLICIES especially letting the Bush tax cuts expire for the wealthy! Tell them you are supporting the President to go off the cliff if they do not cooperate!!!!

Congress, along with BUSH tax cuts, should expire.

If the House doesn't agree to tax increases for the top tier payers then, I think, President Obama should let the BUSH tax cuts expire on December 31, 2012, rather than continue to be yanked around by the Tea Party Puppet, Speaker Boehner.

The 113th Congress has been nothing but obstructionists.

We need comprehensive tax reform and perhaps the next Congress will feel like getting something done before they face re-election in 2014.

I invite others to express their thoughts in reply on this thread.
