As our forefathers warned 231 years ago, Prudence continues to dictate that a government long established should not be changed for light or transient reasons. However, the transgressions of the current administration against his own people and that against people of other countries are so serious and numerous in nature, that it becomes imprudent not to act immediately. We approach a form of absolute despotism of the kind suffered by our forefathers when they began their own revolution for reasons not dissimilar to ours...
WE, therefore, citizens of these United States, and citizens of the world, finding our appeals to our elected representatives to be ignored, do in our name, and in the name of all other true patriots and citizens of this country, solemnly declare that George Walker Bush is unfit to be president; that his vice president is likewise unfit for office, and that both of them are most likely guilty of a multitude of war crimes, crimes against the Constitution, and crimes against humanity. We hereby declare that their offices are now declared vacant and that they shall be delivered to the proper international court for imprisonment while the full nature and extent of their crimes are investigated and determined, thereafter which they will be tried for said crimes. We hereby commit to one another our best efforts to fulfill our forefathers' original intent, while removing the horrors of slavery, sex, race, religious and other forms of discrimination while we work together to repair the horrendous damage inflicted on our Country, its People and its Constitution.

It's time to develop a strategy that can succeed in Iraq, defuse the terrorist insurgency, and bring our brave men and women home.

We have no idea -- none -- how long the Administration plans to be in Iraq. Is it two years, ten, twenty?  The President's message of "as long as it takes" is counterproductive, because it continues to fuel the terrorist insurgency.  It is time for President Bush to send a clear message that we do not intend to remain in Iraq indefinitely or maintain permanent bases there. That doesn't mean we should set an exact date for withdrawal. But it does mean we need a general timeframe to complete the mission.

In 50 or 100 years, I hope historians will be able to look back and say that the summer of 2005 is when Americans brought credibility, accountability, and responsibility to a very tough situation.

I hope they say that we finally began to level with the American people. That we articulated a winnable mission and a detailed plan to fulfill it. And that we gave our troops the support they needed and deserved in Iraq and upon their return to our beloved shores.

We owe it to our soldiers, to the American people, to Iraqis, and, yes, to history, to do nothing less.

Yet, not one -- not one -- of any of Bush's children or his nieces and nephews have volunteered for service in any branch of the military or volunteered to serve in any capacity in Iraq. Not one of them has felt the cause was noble enough to put his or her life on the line.

Under Saddam Hussein, with all his brutal faults, Iraqi women enjoyed the MOST RIGHTS of any women in the Middle East: jobs and professions outside the home, equal education, no veil unless optional, and more. What an irony, that after all the bloodshed of a U.S. invasion and occupation, the clock should turn BACK -- all the way to the Middle Ages -- for Iraq's women! They are RIGHTLY incensed at the U.S.

It is a total myth, that Iraqi women needed "liberating" by the U.S. It is the SAUDI women, our Allies, who are not allowed to go out without veils, drive cars, or live normal 21st-century lives! Now Iraqi women have been raped, abused, tortured, and murdered by U.S. troops -- all so that the clock can be turned BACK for them, to the Dark Ages, and they LOSE the rights they HAD, that WERE EQUAL to those of western non-Muslim women!

The deadline for Iraq's new Constitution is Aug.15th. Let's see 5 years into the Bush/Cheney leadership.. Let's review how our government is doing shall we?:

FACT #1. Turned the largest budget surplus in history into the largest deficit in American history.

FACT #2. Lied to the country to drag us into a bloody mess in Iraqnam, killing over 30,000 people, and responsible for the deaths of over 1700 Americans .. Tricked the United States to invade and start a war with no plan, no end, just more billion dollar requests.

FACT #3. Has created more hatred against the United States then any administration in history.

FACT #4. Has watched oil double in price, while offering no energy policy other than invading the country with a lot of oil.

FACT#5. Ignored all warnings about a possible 911 attack, resulting in the worst attack on American soil in a century.

FACT #6. Told us we must RUSH to war, now tells us we must be patient. Only time in American history, the U.S. has invaded a country not at war. (ok, Greneda is the exception)

FACT #7. Convinced the religious right that God loves war and killing is the way Jesus wanted it.

FACT #8. Had the second largest stock market melt down in history during their administration.

FACT #9. Claims to be fighting terrorism, but allowed a ban on assault rifles to expire.

FACT #10. Spent 7 minutes reading the goat story after being told "Sir, the nation is under attack"

Wow, what a performance... and amazingly, he was reelected (sort-of). What a fantastic performance ... Do any of you have anything else to add here? Was there anything positive at all?

Who would still be supporting this administration? Can you tell us why?

Do we really want our leaders lying to us to drag us into a war?
