8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth For the husband of her
  youth.

A spiritual virgin here, meaning one that hasn't fallen for
satan's deceptions, and has remained true to God the Father.
Thus is girded up with spiritual armor ( see EPH 6:13-17 )
       and preparing for battle

9 The grain offering and the drink offering Have been cut off (3772) from
the house of the LORD; The priests mourn, who minister to the LORD.

The truth of God's Word will be cut off and not taught.
Unfortunately some Churches today teach less of God's Word
them a person receives in God's Minute daily devotional
messages!  Also take a look at the other devotionals on the
Internet.  All I've found contain only one or two verses and are
then filled with a page of man's word Not God's!  That
is true of many sermons today as well.  It is written that the
famine of the end time ( AMOS 8 ) will be for God's Word,
       and so it is!

10 The field is wasted, The land mourns; For the grain is ruined,
The new wine is dried up, The oil fails.

This is after the attack of locusts.

11 Be ashamed, you farmers, Wail, you vinedressers, For the
wheat and the barley; Because the harvest of the field has perished.

Farmers and Vinedressers refers to those who are teachers
       of God's Word.

12 The vine has dried up, And the fig tree has withered; The
pomegranate tree, The palm tree also, And the apple tree--All the
trees of the field are withered; Surely joy has withered away from
  the sons of men.

13 Gird yourselves and lament, you priests; Wail, you who minister
before the altar; Come, lie all night in sackcloth, You who minister
to my God; For the grain offering and the drink offering Are withheld
from the house of your God.

       It is written of the end time that;
[ "His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress
and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the
     abomination that causes desolation. ]  ( Daniel 11:31 )
Further even the truth of God's Word is withheld because many
     don't even know it!

14 Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the elders
And all the inhabitants of the land Into the house of the LORD your
God, And cry out to the Lord.

The sacred assembly was a public religious gathering called
so that everyone could repent and pray to God for mercy, in
       Old Testament times.

15 Alas for the day! For the day (3117) of the LORD is at hand; It shall
come as destruction from the Almighty.

       It is written of that time;
[ and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us
from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath
of the Lamb!  For the great day of His wrath has come, and
who is able to stand?" ]   ( Revelations 6:16-17 )

Now this final event of history has two aspects; (1) The last
judgment on all evil and sin, and (2) The final reward for the
faithful believers. Therefore if you trust the Lord, this final day
should give you hope, because then all who are faithful will
be united forever with our loving Heavenly Father!

16 Is not the food cut off before our eyes, Joy and gladness from
  the house of our God?

Again, it is written of the famine of end time:
["Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will
send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for
water, But of hearing the words of the LORD.]  ( Amos 8:11 )

  17 The seed shrivels under the clods, Storehouses are in shambles;
Barns are broken down, For the grain has withered.

The seeds of faith are not planted, and neither is the Word
       taught truthfully!

18 How the animals groan! The herds of cattle are restless,
Because they have no pasture; Even the flocks of sheep suffer
  punishment.

       The animals are the lost sheep.  Remember that Jesus said;
[But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  And as
you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.']
     ( Matthew 10:6-7 )

19 O LORD, to You I cry out; For fire has devoured the open
pastures, And a flame has burned all the trees of the field.

20 The beasts of the field also cry out to You, For the water brooks
are dried up, And fire has devoured the open pastures (4999) the
  pastures of the wilderness. (4057)

First of all, I would like to Welcome all of the new subscriber's
to our weekly Bible Study. Please know that God is well pleased
that you care enough to study His Letter To Us, the Holy Bible.

These messages are taught for those who have their Spiritual
eyes and ears open.  However if yours are not open yet, they will
be before we finish these Lessons.  So please sharpen up, and
with full attention study these Lessons.
                     ___________________________________

                     ****IMPORTANT Read This First:*****
All verses are taken from the Original Transcripts, written in
Hebrew, Aramaic & Greek. The Numbers that follow words in the
verses will correspond with the Numbers in the Strong's
Concordance with a Hebrew Dictionary, thus making it very easy
to look up there meanings.   I highly recommend that you
purchase a Strong's Concordance at your local Christian Book
Store to use with this study.  It may be purchased for less than
   $20.00.
                     ___________________________________

Today Kathleen, we will move on to the study of the Minor
Prophets.  Remember that these books are called Minor only
because they are shorter than the other prophesies such as
Jeremiah & Isaiah.  Thus they are just as important as the other
   Prophet's as well!

Now the "Day of the Lord" is a major theme of the Old Testament
Prophet's.  Thirteen of the sixteen Prophets speak on this
subject!  However, "The Day of the Lord" is Not just a day of
wrath and judgment on the disobedient, for it also includes the
deliverance and restoration of the righteous as well!  It will
therefore be an unprecedented blessing for God's People,
as we will learn in the Book of Joel. (see also 1 These 5:2-5 )

Therefore we will begin today's study with JOEL, Chapter 1,
where Joel will give us a picture of what it will be like just
before "The Day of the Lord."  By the way, JOEL in Hebrew
means [ Ya is God ] or [ The Lord is God. ]

However, before we begin I must warn men and women
of the cloth, for they may become offended by this study!
However I teach the Word as written and must say, "This
may be a wake up call for some indeed!   So we will let the
   chips fall where they may!

                               JOEL, Chapter 1

1:1 The word (1697) of the LORD that came to Joel (3100) the son of
  Pethuel. (6602)

2 Hear this, you elders, And give ear, all you inhabitants of the land!
Has anything like this happened in your days, Or even in the days
  of your fathers?

Joel begins very abruptly; and before he proposes his
subject, excites attention and alarm by intimating that
he is about to announce disastrous events, such as
the oldest man among them has never seen, nor any
of them learnt from the histories of ancient times.

3 Tell your children (1121) about it, Let your children tell their
children, And their children another generation. (1755)

[Tell your children of it] To heighten the effect, he still
conceals the subject, and informs them that it is such
as should be handed down from father to son through all
       generations.

  4 What the chewing locust (697) left, the swarming locust has eaten;
What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten; And
what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.

This describes the four stages of a locust's life.  As we will
learn later, satan also operates in four stages.  Also these
locusts are the same as the locust army mentioned in
       REVELATIONS, Chapter 9.

5 Awake, (6974) you drunkards, (7910) and weep; And wail, all you
drinkers of wine, Because of the new wine, For it has been cut off from
  your mouth.

This is a call for all to wake up spiritually!  This warning
goes out to those people whose physical and moral
senses are dulled, making them oblivious to sin.

6 For a nation has come up against My land, Strong, and without
number; His teeth (1127) are the teeth of a lion, (738) And he has the
  fangs of a fierce lion.(3833)

The "Nation" here is a reference to the vast swarm of
locusts.  They will come in such numbers as a vast
       army!
"Teeth & Fangs like a lion,"   Now it is written:
[ The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On
their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces
were like the faces of men.  They had hair like women's hair, and
their teeth were like lions' teeth.] ( Revelations 9:7-8 )

7 He has laid waste My vine, And ruined My fig tree; He has
stripped it bare and thrown it away; Its branches are made white.

Jesus said we must learn. The parable of the "Fig Tree."
(8384)  Thus God's Vine mentioned here is the Country
       of Israel.

36 "Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt
(7311) and magnify himself (1431)  above every god, shall speak
  blasphemies. (Greek 967)

He (satan ) will " Speak Blasphemies" against the God of gods,
and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what
has been determined shall be done.  it is written and that is
       the way it will happen!
Now you may ask just why would satan come first.  Well,
it is God's test to see who will truly follow Him, and who has
taken the time to read His Letter To Us ( The Holy Bible )

37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of
women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt (1431) himself above
  them all.

  2 Thessalonians 2:1-8
2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon
shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter,
as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one
deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the
falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of
perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called
God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of
God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that
when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you
know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who
now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then
the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with
the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His
  coming.

38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god
which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver,
with precious stones and pleasant things.

"A God Which His Father's Did Not Know,"  is probably
       a reference to self-worship!

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign
god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall
cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.

"Divide The Land For Gain,"  It is written in the Book of Revelation
about a beast with ten horns.  "Horn" used here is a Hebrew word
meaning power.  The Devil will bring with him 10 supernatural evil
beings who will head up nations for him when he unites the World
under one rule.  Thus the ten horns of the beast!   Much more on
this when we study the Book of Revelation, verse by verse!

40 "At the time (6256) of the end (7093) the king of the South shall
attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a
whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall
enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through.

       One Worldism now begins.

41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall
be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, (123)
Moab, (4124) and the prominent people of Ammon. (5983)

Edom in Hebrew Means[ red ] thus Russia.  Moab refers to
       the children of Lot.

42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land
  of Egypt shall not escape.

Here again we are speaking about one Worldism.

43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over
all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians
  shall follow at his heels.

44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore
he shall go out with great fury to destroy (8045) and annihilate (2763)
  many.

45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and
the glorious (6643) holy (6944) mountain; (2022) yet he shall come to
his end, and no one will help him. (7093)

"Seas" refers to the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea.
"Glorious Holy(6944)  Mountain" is Mount Zion, the site of the
temple. "Come To his End"  the refers to the Second Coming
       of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

                              DANIEL, Chapter Twelve

1"At that time Michael (4317) shall stand up, The great prince who
stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time
of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that
time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who
is found written in the book of life.

Michael the arc-angel, the prince of our people will defeat satan.
"A Time Of Trouble," refers to the period of tribulation
just before our Savior Jesus Christ returns.

. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

"Those Who Sleep In The Dust," is speaking of those who
are spiritually dead.  Remember it is written of those who die:
7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit
  returns to God who gave it.( Ecc 12:7.)   It is also written;
13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall
asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We
believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God
will bring with Jesus those who h  [ send green star]

As we continue to explore the Word of God many of you will find
that what we have learned in Sunday School, saw in movies, or
read in books, was very much incorrect.  This is because one
must study the Word as written in the Original Languages to fully
understand what the true meaning is.  Therefore I will be teaching
the Word as written, in the Original Transcripts, so you may learn
the truth of God's Holy Word.

                     ****IMPORTANT Read This First:*****
All verses are taken from the Original Transcripts, written in
Hebrew, Aramaic & Greek. The Numbers that follow words in the

purchase a Strong's Concordance at your local Christian Book
Store to use with this study.  It may be purchased for less than
   $20.00.

Now Kathleen, remember that Jesus Christ said "IF YOU
ABIDE IN MY WORD, YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES INDEED.  AND
YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL
MAKE YOU FREE!"  ( JOHN 8:31-32 *NKJV )

                              Daniel, Chapter 11:23

11:23 And after the league (2266) is made with him he shall act
deceitfully, (4820) for he shall come up and become strong with a
  small number of people.

No more supposition here, Daniel's vision clearly takes us
to the future now!  This fact is very clear in the original
language that is was written in.  So get ready for the end
time events according to Daniel's vision!

"He Will Act Deceitfully" this is speaking of satan!
"Small Number Of People" probably speaking of the Kenites
we learned about in the Book of Genesis.

24 He shall enter peaceably, (7962) even into the richest places of the
province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his
forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and
riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but
  only for a time. (6256)

The old serpent (satan ) will not come as a fierce beast,
neither will he run around killing people. For as we have just
learned from Daniel's vision he will come peacefully and
profitably claiming that he is Jesus Christ*** here to save us.
You see, the name anti-christ in Greek means [Istead of Christ.]
Thus he will fool many into following him and believing in him.
      l Why, remember satan is supernatural, and it is written that;

REV 13:13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come
down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives
those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to
  do.
*** (We will Find That Fact, In God's Word, In Several Places!!! )

25 He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of
the South with a great army. And the king of the South shall be stirred
up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand,
for they shall devise plans against him.

26 Yes, those who eat of the portion of his delicacies shall destroy
him; his army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down (5307)
  slain. (2491)

Now speaking of satan's own army

27 Both these kings' hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall
speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will
still be at the appointed time. (4150)

28 While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be
moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return
  to his own land.

29 At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but
it shall not be like the former (7223) or the latter. (314)

30 For ships from Chittim (3794) shall come against him; therefore he
shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do
damage. So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake
  the holy (6944) covenant. (1285)

The original Text reads "Ships Of Chittim"  The Hebrew word
"Chittim" means [ bruisers.]  Therefore speaking of God's
       Children.  Remember God's Words in ( Genesis 3:15 )

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And
between your seed and her Seed;  He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel."

"Bruising His heal" is speaking about the crucifixion of Christ
"Bruising his head" is speaking about Gods Children who
understand the events of the end time and stand up against
       satan!

31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the
sanctuary (4720) fortress; then they shall take away the daily
sacrifices, and place there the abomination (8251) of desolation.(8074)

BLESSED BE THE LORD, WHO DAILY LOADS US WITH

BENEFITS, THE GOD OF OUR SALVATION!

( PSALM 68:19 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

God provides all of our needs, and is always with us as

well. For when we are afraid; THE NAME OF THE LORD IS

A STRONG TOWER; THE RIGHTEOUS RUN TO IT AND

ARE SAFE. ( PROVERBS 18:10 )

When we are broken hearted; HE HEALS THE BROKEN

HEARTED AND BINDS UP THEIR WOUNDS. ( PSALM

147:3) For THE LORD IS NEAR TO THOSE WHO HAVE A

BROKEN HEART. ( PSALM 34:18 )

When we need help because of trouble, know that

THE RIGHTEOUS CRY OUT, AND THE LORD HEARS,

AND DELIVERS THEM OUT OF ALL THEIR TROUBLES.

( PSALM 34:17 ) For THE LORD IS GOOD, A

STRONGHOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE; AND HE

KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM. ( NAHUM 1:7 )

Also if you are depressed; CAST ALL YOUR CARES ON

THE LORD AND HE WILL SUSTAIN YOU; HE WILL

NEVER LET THE RIGHTEOUS FALL. ( PSALM 55:22 )

Further God showers us with His Love, for GOD

DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US IN THAT

WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR

US. ( ROMANS 5:8 ) FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD

THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT

WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT

HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. ( JOHN 3:16 )

So Kathleen, have a wonderful day, and know that you

are in good hands with God in charge of your life! Amen.

TRUST IN THE LORD, AND DO GOOD; DWELL IN THE

LAND, AND FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS.

( PSALM 37:3 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

When you find yourself faced with a problem, place

it in God's capable hands by asking Him in prayer to handle

it for you! Then, whatever you do, try not to hold on to a little

corner of it and pull it back again. For when you put your

trust in God, He will lead your way! After all are we to; LIVE

BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT anyway.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 )

Remember that our Savior Jesus Christ said; "DO NOT

LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED. TRUST IN GOD;

TRUST ALSO IN ME." ( JOHN 14:1 ) So; TRUST IN HIM AT

ALL TIMES, O PEOPLE; POOR OUT YOUR HEARTS TO

HIM, FOR GOD IS OUR REFUGE. ( PSALM 62:8 )

Therefore Kathleen, always put all your; TRUST IN

HIM AT ALL TIMES, (PSALM 62:8) for it is also written,

BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO MAKES THE LORD HIS

TRUST. ( PSALM 40:4 )

NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY

MORE THAN WE ASK OR IMAGINE, ACCORDING TO THE

POWER THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US, TO HIM BE GLORY

IN THE CHURCH AND IN JESUS CHRIST THROUGHOUT ALL

GENERATIONS, FOR EVER AND EVER! AMEN.

HOW PRICELESS IS YOUR UNFAILING LOVE! BOTH HIGH

AND LOW AMONG MEN FIND REFUGE IN THE SHADOW

OF YOUR WINGS.

( PSALM 36:7 *NIV )

Kathleen, you are very important to God! He loves you

more than written words can say. So today I will share a

poem that I received from one of our members, for it states

it much better than I. It is titled:

The U in JesUs

Before U were thought of or time had begun,

God even stuck U in the name of His Son.

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true

You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,

For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.

It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand,

He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,

and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His Upward ascension,

He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

"Go into the world and tell them it's true,

That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,

Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,

He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U.

--- Author Unknown

Therefore Kathleen, why not tell others about His Great

Love, and share with them all He has done for "U" as well.

For; I TELL YOU THERE WILL BE MORE REJOICING IN

HEAVEN OVER ONE SINNER WHO REPENTS THEN

OVER NINETY-NINE RIGHTEOUS PERSONS WHO DO

NOT NEED TO REPENT. Amen. ( LUKE 15:7 )

The History of "Halloween".

Dear Kathleen,

As our children get ready to go "Trick-or-Treating" let us

learn a little about the day "Halloween." Therefore Kathleen,

we will depart from our usual message to take a look at a

pagan holiday, that changed because of Christianity, and

thus became a Holy Day that is still observed in some

Denominations still today!

Therefore we will look at a ancient pagan ritual, that is still

practiced today. It's original name was "Samhain," however

we know it as "Halloween."

"Samhain" began at sundown on October 31st and extended

into the following day. According to the Celtic pagan religion,

known as Druidism, the spirits of those who had died roamed

the earth on "Samhain" evening. This night was much feared by

the Celtic people, and they sought to ward off the spirits with

offerings of food and drink.

The dark side of this event was the fact that the Celts built

bonfires, at so called sacred sights, and sometimes preformed

rituals involving HUMAN and/or Animal Sacrifices, to honor Druid

gods. Samhain was abandoned only when the people converted

to Christianity during the very early middle ages.

Now during this period of time the Church often incorporated

modified versions of ancient pagan rituals in order to win

converts. For example, Pope Gregory IV successfully replaced

"Samhain" with All Saints Day, which fell on November 1, thus

the evening of October 31 became known as All Hallows' Even,

which was later shortened to Halloween. All Souls Day, as it is

known as today, is a Holy Day in the Roman Catholic, and

Anglican Churches, honoring those who have passed away.

Some aspects of this ancient pagan tradition thought to be

incompatible with Christianity, were linked with folk beliefs

about evil spirits. In British folklore, small magical fairies

became associated with Halloween mischief. The jack-o-lantern,

originally carved from a turnip, originated in medieval Scotland.

A small candle would be put into the turnip, that had a scary face

carved on it. This was to be lit at night and displayed to scare off

evil spirits which they feared roamed about that night.

Between the 15th & 17th Centuries, Europe was seized by a

hysterical fear of witches, who were thought to ride flying brooms

and to assume the form of black cats. Thus the images of witches

and black cats soon joined other European superstitions as

symbols of Halloween.

In the 19th & early 20th Centuries, young people often

observed Halloween by perpetrating minor acts of vandalism,

such as overturning sheds or breaking windows. Beginning in

the 1930's, Halloween mischief gradually transformed into the

modern ritual of trick-or-treating, though some still choose to

perform acts of vandalism on Halloween still today.

A final note, Kathleen, is the fact that Halloween is the high

holy day of the satanic church. So it still bears a very dark side

indeed, even today! Amen!

Jesus Christ said, "ASK AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU;

SEEK, AND YOU WILL FIND; KNOCK, AND IT WILL BE

OPENED TO YOU."

( MATTHEW 7:7 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

As I have said to you before, I believe that prayer is one

of the most powerful things on Earth! THEREFORE I SAY TO

YOU, WHATEVER THINGS YOU ASK WHEN YOU PRAY,

BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVE THEM, AND YOU WILL

HAVE THEM. ( MARK 11:24 ) This is because; THE EYES

OF THE LORD ARE ON THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS

ARE OPEN TO THEIR PRAYERS. ( 1 PETER 3:12 )

Now Kathleen, these verses do not mean that everything

we may pray for we will get, however they do mean that if it is

God's will for us, our prayer requests will be answered! After

all God knows what is best for us, and sometimes what we

pray for would end up hurting us in the long run. So trust in

God's judgment, after all only He knows the future!

Therefore always; DEVOTE YOURSELVES TO PRAYER,

BEING WATCHFUL AND THANKFUL. AND PRAY FOR US,

TOO, THAT GOD MAY OPEN A DOOR FOR OUR MESSAGE

SO THAT WE MAY PROCLAIM THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST.

PRAY THAT WE MAY PROCLAIM IT CLEARLY, AS I

SHOULD. ( COLOSSIANS 4:2-4 )

Also know; WE ALWAYS THANK GOD FOR ALL OF YOU,

MENTIONING YOU IN OUR PRAYERS. WE CONTINUALLY

REMEMBER BEFORE OUR GOD AND FATHER YOUR

WORK PRODUCED BY FAITH, YOUR LABOR

PROMPTED BY LOVE, AND YOUR ENDURANCE

INSPIRED BY HOPE IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

( 1 THESSALONIANS 1:2-3 )

Now Kathleen, have a wonderful day, and may it be filled

with the Grace of God! Amen.

A TIME TO LOVE AND A TIME TO HATE, A TIME FOR WAR

AND A TIME OF PEACE.

( ECCLESIASTES 3:8 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

As the United States fights a war in Iraq & Afghanistan,

and Iran & North Korea pursue Nuclear weapons, I can't help

but remember the words of our Savior Jesus Christ. For when

His Disciples ask Him what would be the sign of His Coming,

and the end of the age, He stated, "YOU MAY HEAR OF WARS

AND RUMORS OF WARS, BUT SEE TO IT YOU ARE NOT

ALARMED. SUCH THINGS MUST HAPPEN, BUT THE END IS

STILL TO COME. NATION WILL RISE AGAINST NATION, AND

KINGDOM AGAINST KINGDOM. THERE WILL BE FAMINES

AND EARTHQUAKES IN VARIOUS PLACES. ALL THESE

ARE THE BEGINNING OF BIRTH PAINS." ( MATTHEW 24:6-8 )

Indeed, the birth pains of a new Heaven and Earth age!

Now the Scriptures tell us that; NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT

THE DAY OR HOUR, NOT EVEN THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN,

NOR THE SON, BUT ONLY THE FATHER. (MATT 24:36)

However the Scriptures do disclose the events that we are to

watch for leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "WHAT I SAY TO YOU, I SAY TO EVERYONE:

WATCH!" ( MARK 13:37 )

We are now studying exactly what Our Savior said about

the events to watch for leading up to His Second Coming,

as well as, what is written in the Old Testament, and the

Book of Revelation. Then you will know of the signs to Watch

for! So if you are interested in learning this valuable information

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN, FOR THEY WILL

BE COMFORTED.

( MATTHEW 5:4 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

When you lose someone that you love, take comfort in

knowing that they are now with God. For it is written that

when we die; THE DUST RETURNS TO THE GROUND IT

CAME FROM, AND THE SPIRIT RETURNS TO GOD

WHO GAVE IT. ( ECCLESIASTES 12:7 )

Therefore; BROTHERS, WE DO NOT WANT YOU

TO BE IGNORANT ABOUT THOSE WHO FALL ASLEEP,

OR TO GRIEVE LIKE THE REST OF MEN, WHO HAVE

NO HOPE. WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED AND

ROSE AGAIN AND SO WE BELIEVE THAT GOD

WILL BRING WITH JESUS THOSE WHO HAVE

FALLEN ASLEEP IN HIM. (1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-14)

So Kathleen, take comfort in knowing you will see them

again, for it isn't the end of them but only the beginning! The

beginning of a much better life where; HE WILL WIPE AWAY

EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES. THERE WILL BE NO

MORE DEATH OR MOURNING OR CRYING OR PAIN, FOR

THE OLD ORDER OF THINGS HAS PASSED AWAY.

( REVELATION 21:4 )

Now I would like to share something with you that has

helped many who have lost someone. It is called "Safely

Home." I pray that it will minister to those of you who

have lost a dear one. Amen.

SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I an now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! But Jesus' love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus' arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,

Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth--

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,

He will gently call you Home;

Oh, the pleasure of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come!

RETURN TO THE LORD YOUR GOD, FOR HE IS

GRACIOUS AND COMPASSIONATE, SLOW TO

ANGER AND ABOUNDING IN LOVE.

( JOEL 2:13 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

There are times when our faith runs thin and we may

even find ourselves walking far from God. When that

happens Kathleen, it is because we moved away from

Him, not because He moved away from us.

Now if that happens to you remember it is written;

BUT IF FROM THERE YOU SEEK THE LORD YOUR

GOD, YOU WILL FIND HIM IF YOU LOOK FOR HIM

WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR

SOUL. ( DEUTERONOMY 4:29 )

After all, our Heavenly Father is always there with open

arms to welcome us back, and His love for us can never

be shaken. For it is written; THOUGH THE MOUNTAINS

BE SHAKEN AND THE HILLS REMOVED, YET MY

UNFAILING LOVE FOR YOU WILL NOT BE SHAKEN

NOR MY COVENANT OF PEACE BE REMOVED,

SAYS THE LORD, WHO HAS COMPASSION ON

YOU. ( ISAIAH 54:10 )

So Kathleen, if you ever find yourself walking far from

God remember that your return trip back to Him starts

with a prayer, and with all of your love. Then soon you

will again be saying "I WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT."

( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 ) and feeling that closeness to

God once again! Amen.

David said; LET MY LIFE BE VALUED MUCH IN THE

EYES OF THE LORD, AND LET HIM DELIVER ME OUT

OF ALL TRIBULATION.

( 1 SAMUEL 26:24 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Just as David, when your life becomes filled with trouble,

suffering or woe, and you long for a little peace, turn to our

Savior Jesus Christ. For He said; "THESE THINGS I HAVE

SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE

IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; BUT BE

OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD."

( JOHN 16:33 )

After all, Jesus' never abandons us, leaving us to struggle

all alone! We can always call on Him in even the most

troublesome times, for He is always with us! For; WHO

SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST?

SHALL TRIBULATION, OR DISTRESS, OR PERSECUTION,

OR FAMINE, OR NAKEDNESS, OR PERIL, OR SWORD?

The answer is nothing at all! ( ROMANS 8:35 )

Also remember that confusion comes from satan and

not from our Heavenly Father, for it is written; FOR GOD

IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF PEACE.

( 1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 )

So Kathleen, BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN

EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, WITH

THANKSGIVING, LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN

TO GOD; AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH SURPASSES

ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND

MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 )

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS, FOR THEY SHALL

BE CALLED SONS OF GOD.

( MATTHEW 5:9 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Now everytime I read that verse I think of a magnificent

prayer that hangs on the wall over my computer. It also

reminds me of the words of our Savior Jesus Christ, for He

said, "PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE

TO YOU; NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES DO I GIVE TO

YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, NEITHER

LET IT BE AFRAID." ( JOHN 14:27 )

Therefore I pray that; THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH

SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD

YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH JESUS

CHRIST, and make you an instrument of God's Peace

as well!

Now Kathleen, I will share with you the magnificent prayer

that I mentioned. It is called the:

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your Peace!

Where there is hatred -let me sow love,

Where there is injury-pardon,

Where there is doubt-faith,

Where there is despair-hope,

Where there is darkness-light,

Where there is sadness-joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so

much seek to be consoled-as to console,

To be understood-as to understand,

To be loved-as to love,

For it is in giving-that we receive,

It is in pardoning-that we are pardoned,

It is in dying-that we are born to Eternal Life.

DECLARES THE LORD, "LIKE CLAY IN THE HAND OF THE

POTTER, SO ARE YOU IN MY HAND."

( JEREMIAH 18:6 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

With Halloween approaching I though you might enjoy the

following message. I received it from one of our fellow

subscribers last year. It is simply titled.....

"PUMPKINS"

A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like

to be a Christian?" The coworker replied, "It is like being

a pumpkin. God pick you from the patch, brings you in,

and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the

top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.

It is written: O LORD, YOU ARE OUR FATHER, WE ARE

THE CLAY, AND YOU OUR POTTER; AND WE ARE THE

WORK OF YOUR HAND. ( ISAIAH 64:8 )

Then He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, and

then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light

inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

It is written; YOU WILL LIGHT MY LAMP; THE LORD MY

GOD WILL ENLIGHTEN MY DARKNESS. (PSALM 18:28)

So; LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT

THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY

YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN! ( MATTHEW 5:16 )

Now this was passed on to me from another "pumpkin,"

and I have added a few Verses. It is now your turn to pass

it on to another "pumpkin." I liked this enough to send it to

all of the "pumpkins" in the patch, how about you?

NOTE: Next Saturday Kathleen, we will look at the

darker side of Halloween, and study the History of that

day! Until then have a wonderful week, and Be Blessed!

YOU ARE MY ROCK AND MY FORTRESS; THEREFORE,

FOR YOUR NAME'S SAKE LEAD ME AND GUIDE ME.

( PSALM 31:3 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

A good friend is worth more than gold, for they

will stick by you through good times or bad. For; A MAN

WHO HAS FRIENDS MUST HIMSELF BE FRIENDLY, BUT

THERE IS A FRIEND WHO STICKS CLOSER THAN A

BROTHER. ( PROVERBS 18:24 )

Jesus Christ is such a friend, for He has said; "YOU ARE

MY FRIENDS IF YOU DO WHATEVER I COMMAND YOU.

NO LONGER DO I CALL YOU SERVANTS, FOR A SERVANT

DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HIS MASTER IS DOING; BUT I

HAVE CALLED YOU FRIENDS, FOR ALL THINGS THAT I

HEARD FROM MY FATHER I HAVE MADE KNOWN TO

YOU." ( JOHN 15:15-16 )

Therefore I will share a poem with you about our dearest

friend, Jesus Christ. I hope that you will enjoy it!

The Dearest Friend!

I have a Friend in Jesus,

He's ever walking near

To share my every burden

And take away my fear.

It's in His precious name I pray

To our God above;

It's through His sacred teachings that

I learned the way to love.

God did not put me on this earth

To walk life's path alone;

He sent His Son to be my Guide,

The dearest Friend I've known.

No other One could be so true,

He bore the cross for me;

Because He died for my sins

I must ever faithful be.

If you are lonely on life's way

And feel that no one cares,

You have a Friend in Jesus

If you will kneel in prayer.

BEHOLD WHAT MANNER OF LOVE THE FATHER HAS

BESTOWED ON US, THAT WE SHOULD BE CALLED

CHILDREN OF GOD! THEREFORE THE WORLD DOES

NOT KNOW US, BECAUSE IT DID NOT KNOW HIM.

( 1 JOHN 3:1 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

We are Children of God and thus are His heirs as well!

For it is written, BECAUSE YOU ARE SONS, GOD

HAS SENT FORTH THE SPIRIT OF HIS SON INTO YOUR

HEARTS, CRYING OUT ABBA, * FATHER! THEREFORE

YOU ARE NO LONGER A SLAVE BUT A SON, AND IF A

SON, THEN AN HEIR OF GOD THROUGH CHRIST.

( GALATIANS 4:6-7 )

FOR YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF BONDAGE

AGAIN TO FEAR, BUT YOU RECEIVED THE SPIRIT OF

ADOPTION BY WHOM WE CRY OUT, "ABBA,* FATHER."

( ROMANS 8:15 )

[*"Abba" is an Aramaic word meaning Father]

Now what a wonderful honor this gift from God is! He has

already given us His very best gifts: His Son, Forgiveness,

and Eternal Life, and now the special gift of being a member

of His family as well!

So Kathleen, the next time that you are feeling depressed

because of things in this World, and nothing seems to be

going right in your life, remember whose child you are! That

should cheer you up, and make your day as well! Amen!

IN EVERYTHING, DO TO OTHERS WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE

THEM DO TO YOU, FOR THIS SUMS UP THE LAW AND THE

PROPHETS."

( MATTHEW 7:12 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

Now this is often called the "Golden Rule." As God's

Children we are to obey this, for written in the law is; DO NOT

SEEK REVENGE OR BEAR A GRUDGE AGAINST ONE OF

YOUR PEOPLE, BUT LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOUR-

SELF. ( LEVITICUS 19:18 )

Also Jesus Christ said; "A NEW COMMAND I GIVE YOU:

LOVE ONE ANOTHER. AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, SO YOU

MUST LOVE ONE ANOTHER. BY THIS ALL MEN WILL

KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU LOVE

ONE ANOTHER." ( JOHN 13:34-35 )

Thus the "Golden Rule" that Jesus taught us is the foundation

of goodness and mercy, the kind of love that God shows to us

each day! So Kathleen, BEAR WITH EACH OTHER AND FORGIVE

WHATEVER GRIEVANCES YOU MAY HAVE AGAINST ONE

ANOTHER. FORGIVE AS THE LORD FORGAVE YOU.

Amen. ( COLOSSIANS 3:13 )

THE LORD UPHOLDS ALL WHO FALL, AND RAISES UP

ALL WHO ARE BOWED DOWN.

( PSALM 145:14 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Sometimes our burdens seem more than we can

bear, and we wonder how we will ever get through them.

When you feel that way remember to call on our Heavenly

Father, for; THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL THAT CALL ON HIM.

HE WILL FULFILL THE DESIRE OF THOSE WHO FEAR

HIM; HE ALSO WILL HEAR THEIR CRY AND SAVE THEM.

( PSALM 145:18-19 )

Further; HE GIVES POWER TO THE WEAK, AND TO

THOSE WHO HAVE NO MIGHT HE INCREASES

STRENGTH. For; THOSE WHO WAIT ON THE LORD

SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; THEY SHALL MOUNT

UP WITH WINGS LIKE EAGLES, THEY SHALL RUN AND

NOT GET WEARY, THEY SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT.

( ISAIAH 40:29 & 31 )

After all our Heavenly Father is; GRACIOUS AND FULL OF

COMPASSION, SLOW TO ANGER AND GREAT IN MERCY.

THE LORD IS GOOD TO ALL, AND HIS TENDER MERCIES

ARE OVER ALL HIS WORKS. ( PSALM 145:8-9 )

So Kathleen, never feel that you must face those tough times

alone, for GOD loves you and is with you all of the time! So;

CAST YOUR BURDEN ON THE LORD, AND HE SHALL

SUSTAIN YOU; HE SHALL NEVER PERMIT THE

RIGHTEOUS TO BE MOVED. Amen.

Bible Study (Cont'd) October 16, 2006 7:47 AM

"The Daughter" refers to Berenice, the daughter of Ptolemy
Philadelphus ( 285-246 B.C. ) of Egypt.  "The king of the
North," refers to Antiochus II Theos ( 261-246 B.C. ) of
       Syria.

It is Very Important to note that although these predictions
are of the past, they represent types, and events of the last
days as well.  Thus events to be aware of, and watch out for!

7 But from a branch of her roots one shall arise in his place, who shall
come with an army, enter the fortress of the king of the North, and
  deal with them and prevail.

"Branch," here refers to Berenice's brother, Ptolemy III
Euergetes. ( 246-221 B.C. )  For he conquered the king
of the North and carried away great booty.

Now purely supposition here on my part, but remember the
Shah of Iran, as an example of this?

8 And he shall also carry their gods captive to Egypt, with their
princes and their precious articles of silver and gold; and he shall
continue more years than the king of the North.

Now the Shah did take a huge sum of money out of Iran
and Sadat gave him refuge in Egypt as well.

9 Also the king of the North shall come to the kingdom of the king of
the South, but shall return to his own land.

10 However his sons shall stir up strife, and assemble a multitude of
great forces; and one shall certainly come and overwhelm and pass
through; then he shall return to his fortress and stir up strife.

Again supposition, remember that day when Anwar
al-Sadat was having a military parade and was gunned
down.  Also was not Sadat called the "prince of peace"
       by his people?

11 "And the king of the South shall be moved with rage, and go out
and fight with him, with the king of the North, who shall muster a great
multitude; but the multitude shall be given into the hand of his enemy.

The king of the South Ptolemy IV Philopastor
( 221-204 B.C. ) did defeat the king of the North, Antioch
III the Great, at Raphia in 217 B.C.

  12 When he has taken away the multitude, his heart will be lifted up;
and he will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not prevail.

13 For the king of the North will return and muster a multitude greater
than the former, and shall certainly come at the end of some years
with a great army and much equipment.

Now Antiochus III was on the move, for he then assembled
a great army and attacked Egypt in 201 B.C.

14 "Now in those times many shall rise up against the king of the
South. Also, violent men of your people shall exalt themselves in
fulfillment of the vision, but they shall fall.

15 So the king of the North shall come and build a siege mound, and
take a fortified city; and the forces of the South shall not withstand
him. Even his choice troops shall have no strength to resist.

The king of the North, Antiochus, defeated the fortified city
       of Sidon in 198 B.C.

16 But he who comes against him shall do according to his own will,
and no one shall stand against him. He shall stand in the Glorious
Land with destruction in his power.

The "Glorious Land" is a reference to Israel.

17 He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole
kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do. And he shall
give him the daughter of women to destroy it; but she shall not stand
with him, or be for him.

Antiochus III's daughter was given in marriage to Ptolemy V
Epiphanes of Egypt in order to destroy Egypt, however
his daughter Cleopatra sided with her husband over her
       father and his plan failed!

18 After this he shall turn his face to the coastlands, and shall take
  many. But a ruler shall bring the reproach against them to an end;
and with the reproach removed, he shall turn back on him.

19 Then he shall turn his face toward the fortress of his own land; but
he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

Antiochus III undertook a great campaign into Asia Minor.
However, a Roman ruler defeated him, thus he lost all that
he had gained, so Antiochus went back home to Egypt with
his tail between his legs so to speak.  Then, while he was
trying to plunder a temple there, he was killed

20 "There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the
glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but
not in anger or in battle.

Antiochus III's son [ Seleucus IV ] then took his place.  Now
Antiochus had ruled for thirty-seven years, but Seleucus IV
       ruled for only eleven years.

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, (959) to whom they will
not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and
  seize the kingdom by intrigue.

A vile person refers to Antiochus IV Epiphanes
       ( 175-164 B.C. ) who seized the throne through
treachery.  It also is a reference to satan in the
       end times.

22 With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him
and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant.

"Swept Away" is probably a reference to Egypt.  " The
prince of the covenant" is a reference to Onias III, the
high priest in Jerusalem, who bore that title.

NOTE:  If you can not understand something in this lesson,

Today we will continue in the Tenth Chapter, beginning with the
15th verse, remembering that Daniel is an overlay of the Book
   of Revelation.

10:15 When he had spoken such words to me, I turned my face
toward the ground and became speechless. (481)

16 And suddenly, one having the likeness of the sons of men touched
my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, saying to him who
stood before me, "My lord, (113) because of the vision my sorrows have
overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength.

"Likeness Of The Sons Of Man," obviously this was an
appearance of the preincarnate Jesus Christ.

17 For how can this servant of my lord talk with you, my lord? As for
me, no strength remains in me now, nor is any breath left in me."

18 Then again, the one having the likeness (4758) of a man touched me and
  strengthened me.

Now for the third time in this Chapter Daniel is supernaturally
       strengthened by one who touches him.  ( see v v.10 & 16 also )

  19 And he said, "O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you;
be strong, yes, be strong!" So when he spoke to me I was
strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak, for you have
  strengthened me."

20 Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? And now I
must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone
forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come.

Now just as Persia was under the evil spirit of satan here,
       ( see v v. 13 & 14 ) so was Greece.  Once the prince of
Persia was overcome the evil spirit of satan would enter into
conflict with the prince of Greece.  Thus the succession
of world powers follows the pattern of Daniel's vision.
       ( see 8:20-22 )

21 But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. (No one
upholds me against these, except Michael your prince.

Here the archangel Michael was God's choice to be a
prince in His kingdom on Earth.

                                       Chapter Eleven

11:1 "Also in the first year of Darius (1867) the Mede, (4075) I, even I,
stood up to confirm and strengthen him.

This verse takes us backward two years.  Remember
Daniel is telling his vision over and over at this time.

2 And now I will tell you the truth: Behold, three more kings will arise
in Persia, and the fourth shall be far richer than them all; by his
strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of
  Greece.

       Darius was followed by Cambyses [530-522 B.C.];
       Gaumata [522 B.C.]; Darius I [522-486 B.C.]; and
Xerxes [486--465 B.C.].   Now Xerxes was the richest
king of all due to his conquest and outrageously high
       taxes!

3 Then a mighty king shall arise, who shall rule with great dominion,
and do according to his will.

Now the scene shifts to Greece and is referring to the
       reign of Alexander the Great

4 And when he has arisen, his kingdom shall be broken up and
divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not among his posterity
nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom
shall be uprooted, even for others besides these.

Remember, from an earlier study that the "Four Winds
of Heaven" always refers to the last days of this Earth Age!
Also Alexander's kingdom was divided up by his generals
       not his heirs.

5 "Also the king of the South shall become strong, as well as one of
his princes; and he shall gain power over him and have dominion. His
dominion shall  [ send green star]

THE LORD IS ON MY SIDE; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN

MAN DO TO ME?

( PSALM 118:6 *NJKV )

Dear Kathleen,

We all have difficulties in our lives from time to time. Times

when dealing with people or situations get us down. Some-

times those difficulties even seem to overwhelm us to the point,

that we feel there is nothing that we can do about it!

Now when that happens remember that it is written; I CAN

DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS

ME. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:13 ) So the next time that you are

faced with something that seems difficult to you, why not

ask for God's help? After all it is written; FOR WITH GOD

NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE. ( LUKE 1:37 )

Therefore remember that with God's Help Noah built the Ark,

while professional men built the Titanic.

So Kathleen, never feel defeated when you have the awesome

power of God on your side? For your difficulties, no matter how

large, cannot compete with the awesome power of the Lord!

So face those problems with confidence knowing that God will

help you. Amen.

THE MOON MARKS OFF THE SEASONS, AND THE SUN

KNOWS WHEN TO GO DOWN.

( PSALM 104:19 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year. For;

THE LAND WILL YIELD ITS HARVEST, AND GOD, OUR

GOD, WILL BLESS US, with the beautiful colors of Fall.

( PSALM 67:7 ) This is because HE HAS MADE EVERY-

THING BEAUTIFUL IN ITS TIME. ( ECCLESIASTES 3:11 )

After all; AS LONG AS THE EARTH ENDURES,

SEEDTIME AND HARVEST, COLD AND HEAT, SUMMER

AND WINTER, DAY AND NIGHT WILL NEVER CEASE.

( GENESIS 8:22 ) Thus God's beautiful creation is with

us all year long, and blessing us in every season with

colors galore!

So Kathleen, today I would like to share with you a

poem about my favorite season.

Bright October

I know no other season

So filled with warmth and cheer

As on these bright October days

When autumntime is here.

The hills have turned from summer's green

To dazzling red and gold;

The flower beds and brighter, too,

So festive to behold!

The harvest yield is gathered in;

God sends His gifts anew.

Each roadside stand, a harvest fair

That warms the heart of you.

A bluish haze on distant hills,

The maple's scarlet flame;

And oak trees dressed in Joseph-coats

Stands guard along the lane.

Of all the seasons of the year,

Each one with beauty blessed,

I hold to Autumn's warmth and cheer--

I like October best!

Poet, Kay Hoffman

BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN THE WOMB I KNEW YOU;

BEFORE YOU WERE BORN I SANCTIFIED YOU.

( JEREMIAH 1:4 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Now have you ever felt that God doesn't even know you,

or doesn't care what happens to you? Well, today we will

take a look at just how well God knows each and every one

of His Children, and how very important we all are to Him!

Now before we start it is important to remember that the

purpose of His intimate knowledge of us is to be Protective

and Helpful, not Judgmental and Condemning! Thus an

expression of His deep Love for each one of His Children!

Let us begin with the words of King David: "O LORD,

YOU HAVE SEARCHED ME AND KNOW ME. YOU

KNOW WHEN I SIT AND WHEN I RISE; YOU PERCEIVE

MY THOUGHTS FROM AFAR." ( PSALM 139:1-2 )

Now we may not want others to know us very well, but

God already knows everything about us. For; EVEN THE

VERY HAIRS OF YOUR HEAD ARE ALL NUMBERED.

( MATTHEW 10:30 )

YOU DISCERN MY GOING OUT AND MY LYING DOWN;

YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH ALL MY WAYS."

( PSALM 139:3 ) For it is also written, "DOES HE NOT

SEE MY WAYS AND COUNT MY EVERY STEP?

( JOB 31:4 )

Also; "BEFORE A WORD IS ON MY TONGUE YOU

KNOW IT COMPLETELY, O LORD." ( PSALM 139:4 )

For; "NOTHING IN ALL CREATION IS HIDDEN FROM

GOD'S SIGHT. EVERYTHING IS UNCOVERED AND

LAID BARE BEFORE THE EYES OF HIM."

( HEBREWS 4:13 )

After all; YOU CREATED MY INMOST BEING; YOU

KNIT ME TOGETHER IN MY MOTHER'S WOMB."

( PSALM 139:13 ) "MY FRAME WAS NOT HIDDEN

FROM YOU WHEN I WAS MADE IN THE SECRET

PLACE. YOUR EYES SAW MY UNFORMED BODY.

ALL THE DAYS ORDAINED FOR ME WERE WRITTEN

IN YOUR BOOK BEFORE ONE OF THEM CAME TO BE.

( PSALM 139:15 & 16 )

Now you know how intimately God knows you, and you

may know Him intimately as well by reading His Letter To

You! ( The Bible ) So why not pick up and read the Bible

tonight?

Have a Wonderful Weekend Kathleen, and know that God

Loves You Dearly, for you are His Child and He even

smiles every time He thinks about You! Amen.

LET HEAVEN AND EARTH PRAISE HIM, THE SEAS AND

ALL THAT MOVE IN THEM.

( PSALM 69:34 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

There are times when we may feel that there is nothing to

praise God for. After all life can become very difficult at times.

So when you are feeling that way why not read the 103rd

PSALM, for David lists several reasons to praise God in that

Psalm.

For example David wrote:

PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL; ALL MY INMOST BEING,

PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL, AND FORGET NOT ALL

HIS BENEFITS.

WHO FORGIVES ALL YOUR SINS AND HEALS ALL YOUR

DISEASES,

WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM THE PIT AND CROWNS

YOU WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION,

WHO SATISFIES YOUR DESIRES WITH GOOD THINGS

SO THAT YOUR YOUTH IS RENEWED LIKE THE

EAGLE'S. (PSALM 103:1-5 ) and those are just the first

five verses, there are seventeen more verses to be found.

When you think about it, the list is really endless! So

come let us praise the Lord and; COME, LET US BOW

DOWN IN WORSHIP, LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD

OUR MAKER; FOR WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF HIS

PASTURE, THE FLOCK UNDER HIS CARE.

( PSALM 95:6-7 )

Have a wonderful day Kathleen, and may the love of Christ

fill your heart and mind, now and always! Amen.

your servant Allen

Chapter 10

10:1 In the third year of Cyrus (3566) king of Persia (6539) a message
was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar. (1095)
The message was true, but the appointed time was long; and he
understood the message, and had understanding of the vision.

Cyrus's rule over Babylon was in the year 536 BC.
message, and had understanding of the vision.

2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks.

Remember we learned last week in Chapter Eight
that Daniel became sick because of this vision.
Well, that coupled with Passover, and the Feast
Of Unleavened Bread, which lasted a full twenty-
one days in the first month of each year, Daniel
was mourning for a full three weeks.

3 I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor
did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

4 Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the
side of the great river, that is, the Tigris,

The twenty-fourth day occurs three days after the
Feast of the Unleavened Bread festival.

5 I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in
linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! (210)

"A Certain Man" is either an appearance of the
preincarnate Christ, or an angel.  However
the description that follows indeed suggests that
       this was Jesus Christ! ( v. 6)  Also ( REV 1:13 )
the description is the same for Jesus.

6 His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning,
his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze
in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.

This description here is very much like Ezekiel's description
of the Glory of God.  (see EZEK 1:4-28 )

7 And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me
did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they
  fled to hide themselves.

8 Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no
strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and
  I retained no strength.

Humans always feel weak and frail when they encounter
       God.

9 Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of
his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the
  ground.

10 Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my
knees and on the palms of my hands.

11 And he said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand
the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been
sent to you." While he was speaking this word to me, I stood
  trembling.

       "Greatly Beloved," God loves everyone ( see John 3:16 );
yet some, because of their special relationship to God,
        are objects of special divine love.  ( see 1 SAM 13:14;
       JOHN 13:23; 14:21,23; & ACTS 13:22. )

12 Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that
you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your
God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your
  words.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one
days; and behold, Michael, (4317) one of the chief princes, came to
help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

The prince of the kingdom of Persia cannot be a human
ruler, because the conflict mentioned here is in
the spiritual realm.  The allusion to Michael makes that
fact very clear indeed!  The prince, therefore, must be
understood as a satanic figure who will command the
affairs of Persia, inspiring its religious, social and
political structures to works of evil.  Apostle Paul refers
to principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age,
and "spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
       ( see EPH 6:12 )

14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to
your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet
  to come."

"The Latter Days," This expression is used throughout
the Propensities of the End Time, and refers to a future
       event.

Bible Study October 11, 2006 8:18 AM

As we continue to explore the Word of God many of you will find
that what we have learned in Sunday School, saw in movies, or
read in books, was very much incorrect.  This is because one
must study the Word as written in the Original Languages to fully
understand what the true meaning is.  Therefore I will be teaching
the Word as written, in the Original Transcripts, so you may learn
the truth of God's Holy Word.

Now If you can not understand something in this lesson,
just put it on a shelve in your mind.  It will all became clear as
a bell as we continue this study of His Holy Word!

It may be purchased for less than
   $20.00.

Now Kathleen, remember that Jesus Christ said "IF YOU ABIDE
IN MY WORD, YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES INDEED.  AND YOU
SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE
YOU FREE!"  ( JOHN 8:31-32 *NKJV )  Therefore let us
continue in the Book of Daniel, where today Daniel will retell his
vision found in Chapter 8, over and over, in Chapter's Nine & Ten,
each time with more detail, so we will begin with verse 9:20.

                                Chapter Nine, verse 20

20 Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and
the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before
the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God,

"Holy Mountain Of My God." Daniel is speaking here
about Jerusalem.  OF NOTE in ( EZ 16,) it states that
Jerusalem has a unclean birth, and it's name was Jebus
for it was founded by the Jebusties, not by Abraham and
his seed.  Later David would rename the city Jerusalem
       meaning "founded by (God) Shalem."

21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, (1403) whom
I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly,
reached me about the time of the evening offering.

       Gabriel means "man of God."

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I
have now come forth to give you skill to understand.

23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out,
and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore
consider the matter, and understand the vision:

24 "Seventy (7657) weeks (7620) are determined For your people
and  for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end
of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting
righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the
  Most Holy.

"Seventy Weeks" my also be translated [seventy sevens.]
Thus most Scholars believe that the sevens represent
seven years. This fact may be backed up in many places
in the Holy Bible.  So each week represents seven years,
thus seventy-seven weeks equals 490 years before God's
people would experience perfect reconciliation with their
       God.

25 "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the
command To restore and build Jerusalem (3389) Until Messiah the
Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street
shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.

Here speaking of the birth of Jesus Christ.

"height or foundation of peace." An appropriate meaning
for God's goal with and for His people is "shalom," "peace,
well-being." The traditional meaning of the name is "city
       of peace."

26 "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not
for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a
flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

"Messiah shall be cut off" Thus predicting the Crucifixion
Then we jump to the end time with "The prince who is
to come," which is speaking of anti-christ!  Remember,
that in the Greek it was written, it read "Instead of Christ!"
not anti or against Christ as in the English translation.

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in
the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and
offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes
desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is
  poured out on the desolate."

Again, a week represents seven years, so in the middle
of the week would be three and one half years.
"End To The Sacrifice," means the end of Holy Communion.
Instead, satan will demand the communion service honor him
       instead of our Heavenly Father.

Now Today's Devotion.....

HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU

TO GUARD YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS; THEY WILL

LIFT YOU UP IN THEIR HANDS, SO THAT YOU WILL

NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.

( PSALM 91:11-12 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

One of the functions of angels is to watch over

God's Children here on Earth. For it is written; HE WILL

COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU TO

GUARD YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS. ( HEBREWS 1:14 )

Therefore it is clear that our Heavenly Father will send us

an angel in times of need!

Now, let me ask you this, have you ever met an angel?

Well I bet you have! An angel doesn't have to be a Spiritual

Being, sometimes they are human beings just like you

and me. When you think about it, we all have encountered

another person who has been just like an angel to us.

A person who has reached out to help, comfort and guide

us in times of need. The World is full of these human

angels! I'll even bet that someone has even called you an

angel at one time or another.

So Kathleen, the next time you encounter a person in need,

reach out and be an angel to them! Your Heavenly Father

will bless you for it!

Now may; THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST,

AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE COMMUNION OF THE

HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU. Amen.

Today's Message.....

Just a closer walk with thee! How sweet the words when

when we walk with Jesus, Kathleen! After all.......

WHAT DOES THE LORD REQUIRE OF YOU BUT TO DO

JUSTLY, TO LOVE MERCY, AND TO WALK HUMBLY

WITH YOUR GOD. ( MICAH 6:8 *NKJV )

For; THEN YOUR LIGHT SHALL BREAK FORTH LIKE

THE MORNING. YOUR HEALING SHALL SPRING FORTH

SPEEDILY, AND YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL GO

BEFORE YOU; THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE

YOUR REAR GUARD. THEN YOU SHALL CALL, AND

THE LORD WILL ANSWER; YOU SHALL CRY, AND HE

WILL SAY," HERE I AM." ( ISAIAH 58:8-9 )

After all God has promised that HE WILL NEVER

LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU! ( DEUT 31:6 )

So why not begin your day with a closer walk with

Jesus. In fact today why not take a.......

Morning Walk

Amidst the dew of early dawn,

I took a morning walk.

And along with me, I took a Friend,

For I felt a need to talk.

I unburdened both my heart and soul,

And spoke many things:

Of plans gone wrong, of failure's pain,

And how to live with shattered dreams.

My Friend just listened quietly,

And uttered not a word.

For it was His time to listen,

And my time to be heard.

His sympathetic ear brought peace,

As we walked this earthly sod.

And I learned to trust life again,

On my morning walk with God.

THE LORD IS GOOD, A REFUGE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE.

HE CARES FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM!

( NAHUM 1:7 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

We all face troubling times in our lives from time to

time. We often wish that we could escape these

troubles like the pain of grief, loss, sorrow and failure; or

maybe even the small daily frustrations that constantly

bother us.

When you are experiencing problems like that remember

that; THE LORD IS CLOSE TO THE BROKEN HEARTED

AND SAVES THOSE WHO ARE CRUSHED IN SPIRIT.

( PSALM 34:18 )

After all; THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE ON THE

RIGHTEOUS AND HIS EARS ARE ATTENTIVE TO THEIR

CRY. ( PSALM 34:15 ) For; THE RIGHTEOUS CALL OUT,

AND THE LORD HEARS THEM; HE DELIVERS THEM

FROM ALL THEIR TROUBLES. ( PSALM 34:17 )

Now you may be thinking how does that apply to me, for

I do not feel very righteous. Well, through Jesus Christ we

have become righteous, for it is written; GOD MADE HIM

WHO HAD NO SIN TO BE SIN, SO THAT IN HIM WE

MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 ) Therefore when we repent of our

sins they are not only cleansed from "The Book of Life," we

also become righteous once again as well!

So Kathleen, remember the words of our Savior Jesus

Christ, "DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED.

TRUST IN GOD; TRUST ALSO IN ME." ( JOHN 14:1 ) and

let Him deliver you from all your troubles! For; A

RIGHTEOUS MAN MAY HAVE MANY TROUBLES, BUT

THE LORD DELIVERS HIM FROM THEM ALL. Amen!

REJOICE ALWAYS, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, IN

EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS; FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF

GOD IN CHRIST FOR YOU.

( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

We are to rejoice even when one of our prayers isn't

answered the way we want. Now that may seem hard to do

but when we realize that God knows what is best for us, it

becomes easier to understand! For some of our prayers,

if answered, could cause us much grief in the long run. After

all only He knows what the future holds, and what is best for

us!

So, BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING

BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, WITH THANKSGIVING,

LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN TO GOD.

( PHILIPPIANS 4:6 ) because, THE EFFECTIVE, FERVENT

PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH.

( JAMES 5:16 )

Now Kathleen, there is also an added benefit to your

prayers, for they will lead you to a greater communion with

God, and a much greater understanding of His will for you

as well!

AND SPEAKING OF PRAYER,

I said a prayer for you today,

And I know God must have heard;

I felt the answer in my heart,

Although He spoke not a word.

I didn't ask for wealth or fame,

( I knew you wouldn't mind; )

I asked for priceless treasures rare,

Of a more lasting kind.

I prayed that He'd be near to you,

At the start of each new day,

To grant you health and blessings fair,

And friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you,

In all thing great and small,

But that you'd know His loving care,

I prayed most of all. Amen.

HE TENDS HIS FLOCK LIKE A SHEPHERD: HE GATHERS

THE LAMBS IN HIS ARMS AND CARRIES THEM CLOSE TO

HIS HEART; HE GENTLY LEADS THOSE WHO HAVE

YOUNG.

( ISAIAH 40:11*NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

There is no other love that compares to the love of our Lord,

for His Children. FOR AS HIGH AS THE HEAVENS ARE

ABOVE THE EARTH, SO GREAT IS HIS LOVE FOR THOSE

WHO FEAR* HIM. ( PSALM 103:11 )

[ *Fear should read Revere ]

He is our strength in time of need, and just as King David

said; "THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF HIS PEOPLE,

A FORTRESS OF SALVATION FOR HIS ANOINTED ONES."

( PSALM 28:8 )

He comforts us and guides us through any adversity. For;

HE HEALS THE BROKEN HEARTED AND BINDS UP THEIR

WOUNDS. ( PSALM 147:3 )

He offers us forgiveness for all of our sins, for it is written,

ALL THE PROPHETS TESTIFY ABOUT HIM THAT EVERY-

ONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM RECEIVES FORGIVENESS

OF SINS THROUGH HIS NAME. ( ACTS 10:43 )

Best of all, He offers us Eternal Life; FOR GOD SO LOVES

THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON,

THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH

BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. ( JOHN 3:16 )

So Kathleen, know that you are in loving hands, when the

Good Shepherd is in charge of your life! FOR THE LORD

YOUR GOD GOES WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE

YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. Therefore, have a wonderful

weekend, and; MAY THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS

CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE FELLOWSHIP

OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL. Amen!

FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF

PEACE, AS IN ALL THE CHURCHES OF THE SAINTS.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 14:33 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

In this world today it is hard for most people to find any

peace at all. Confusion abounds no matter where we go.

Jesus warned us about that for He said, "THESE THINGS I

HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE

PEACE. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION;

BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE

WORLD." ( JOHN 16:33 )

After all it is written that; THE LORD WILL GIVE

STRENGTH TO HIS PEOPLE; THE LORD WILL BLESS HIS

PEOPLE WITH PEACE. ( PSALM 29:11 ) Therefore when

you find yourself confused, Kathleen, always look to

Jesus Christ for; HE HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE. For He said,

"PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE YOU."

( EPHESIANS 2:14 ) ( JOHN 14:27 )

Now that is a loving caring peace that we become filled

with on our spiritual journey, and peace is only one of the

many blessings we receive on that journey, for it is also

written; THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE,

PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS,

GENTLENESS, AND SELF CONTROL. AGAINST SUCH

THINGS THERE IS NO LAW. ( GALATIANS 5:22-23 )

So Kathleen, it is my prayer that you are well on your way

down that spiritual path right now, and that; THE PEACE OF

GOD WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL

GUARD YOUR HEART AND MIND THROUGH JESUS

CHRIST. Amen! ( PHILIPPIANS 4:7 )

WHEN THE MORNING STARS SANG TOGETHER, AND

ALL THE SONS OF GOD SHOUTED FOR JOY.

( JOB 38:7 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

When we count our many blessings daily, it causes us

to become a positive person. We also become more

cheerful and gain a sunny disposition as well.

Now it is written that; HE WHO IS OF A MERRY HEART

HAS A CONTINUAL FEAST. ( PROVERBS 15:15 ) That is

because; A MERRY HEART MAKES A CHEERFUL

COUNTENANCE, BUT BY SORROW OF THE HEART THE

SPIRIT IS BROKEN. ( PROVERBS 15:13 )

So Kathleen, make a daily routine of counting all of your

blessings, and you will become known as:

The Soul With Sunny Heart

God bless the soul with sunny heart

Who brightens up each day

By spreading seeds of cheerfulness

While traveling on life's way.

God bless him for the stars of hope

He sets in each one's sky;

For the encouragement he gives

That causes folk to try...

With stronger faith to press ahead,

With courage for a mate,

And reach for goals, and build anew,

And smile and challenge fate.

God bless his laughter and his song

That drives dark clouds away

From troubled minds, and paints instead

A rosy-tinted day.

God bless the soul with sunny heart

Who's found in life his place,

And serves his God and fellow man

With humble, gentle grace.

The world has need of such a man

Who lifts the heart from gloom,

And in life's barren places plants

Sweet flowers of love to bloom.

He may serve as some men serve

With fame or high degree...

But his good deeds will ever shine

Throughout eternity.

THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL

AND EFFECTIVE.

( JAMES 5:16 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

I truly believe that our prayers are the most powerful things

on Earth! After all what is a Miracle but a prayer that has

been answered!

Thus it is written, DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANY-

THING, BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND

PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR

REQUESTS TO GOD. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6 ) After all

THE LORD IS FAR FROM THE WICKED BUT HE

HEARS THE PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS.

( PROVERBS 15:29 )

Now I know that when our prayers aren't answered the

way we would like, it can disappoint us, we are sad and often

depressed. However it is written that we should; BE JOYFUL

ALWAYS; PRAY CONTINUALLY; GIVE THANKS IN ALL

CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU

IN JESUS CHRIST. ( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18 )

Therefore Kathleen, never feel that God doesn't hear your

prayers because a prayer isn't answered immediately, or

because it isn't answered the way you would like. For your

Heavenly Father always knows what is best for you, and

HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.

( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 )

So Kathleen, remember to always GIVE THANKS TO

THE LORD, CALL ON HIS NAME, for He will always hear

the prayers of those who love and adore Him!

( 1 CHRONICLES 16:8 )

In closing my prayer is that; THE GRACE OF

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD,

AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH

YOU ALL. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 ) Now and always!

Amen!

Bible Study (Cont'd) October 02, 2006 7:57 AM

The Prince Of The Host refers to God Himself!  Also note that
Hebrews 10 states that Jesus Christ became our sacrifice.
In 32 AD the Crucifixion temporarily took away our
Savior.  Now the daily sacrifice is your love toward God.
Do not confuse this with the daily oblation or Holy
       Communion.

12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to
oppose the daily sacrifices; (6588) and he cast truth down to the
ground.  He did all this and prospered. (6743)

Cast down the Truth is referring to God's Word.
Now why does satan prosper?  Just think about how people
react to Rock Stars or Hollywood Actor's.  How do you think
they will react to a supernatural being performing tricks like
snapping their fingers and lightning comes down.

13 Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to
that certain one who was speaking, "How long will the vision be,
concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation,
the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under
  foot?"

The "Holy One's" mentioned here are angel's.

14 And he said to me, "For two thousand three hundred days; then
  the sanctuary shall be cleansed."

Now in Joshua 23:13 God cleansed the sanctuary for the last
time it is written.  This occurred in the year 1433 BC.

15 Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and was
seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me one
having the appearance of a man.

[As the appearance of a man.] The Man mentioned
        here is the Messiah.

16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, who
called, and said, "Gabriel, (1403) make this man understand the
  vision."

Now we are in great company here for this is the arc-angel
Gabriel.  Incidentally this was his first appearance, and
       Gabriel means "Man Of God."

17 So he came near where I stood, and when he came I was afraid
and fell on my face; but he said to me, "Understand, son of man,
that the vision refers to the time of the end."

The arc-angel comforted Daniel by telling him that this is
when the Second Coming of Jesus Christ occurs, and
       not before.  ( see Rev 1:17 )

18 Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my
face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright.

19 And he said, "Look, I am making known to you what shall happen
in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end
  shall be.

"The Indignation," is that of God against those who have
rebelled against Him.  Especially those living in the End Time!

20 The ram which you saw, having the two horns--they are the kings
  of Media and Persia.

It is significant that the two Empires are regarded as one.

21 And the male goat is the kingdom of Greece. The large horn that
is between its eyes is the first king.

Again the goat represents Greece so we are again speaking
of Alexander The Great.  However remember we are looking at
a type only!  Thus keep ever as the watchman, Kathleen!

22 As for the broken horn and the four that stood up in its place, four
kingdoms shall arise out of that nation, but not with its power.

With satanic power indeed.  In ( ZAC 1 )  We also learn of the
four hidden Dynasties satan will use, Political, Religious,
Financial, and Education, for satan will use these in the last
days.  Much more on that in a later lesson or two, so just put
it on the shelf in your mind until we study Zechariah and the
other Minor Prophets.  By the way, they are called Minor
Prophets because their Books are so short, not because
their Prophesies  are any less than Isaiah or Jeremiah's.

23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors
have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features,
  Who understands sinister schemes.

Here he is again speaking about satan.

24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall
destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the
mighty, and also the holy people.

Now remember that satan destroys with words, cunning and
deceit, thus most of the World will fall for this unfortunately.
Especially those who are ignorant of God's Word.
       ( see Rev 17:13 )

25 "Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his
rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many
  in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes;
But he shall be broken without human means.

Prince Of Princes means Jesus Christ.
Now it is written in Revelation 13 that satan can cause lightning
to appear at will.  Also the ten kings that he brings with him
are supernatural as well.  ( see Rev 19:19-20 )

26 "And the vision of the evenings and mornings Which was told is
true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the
  future."

Most of the documents that were written in Daniel's time,
were written on scrolls that could be rolled up.

27 And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick for days; afterward I arose
and went about the king's business. I was astonished by th  [ send green star]

If you can not understand something in this lesson,  just put it on
a shelve in your mind.  It will all became clear as a bell as we
continue this study of His Holy Word!

                       *****IMPORTANT Read This First:*****
It may be purchased for less than
   $20.00.

Now Kathleen, remember that Jesus Christ said "IF YOU ABIDE
IN MY WORD, YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES INDEED.  AND YOU
SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE
YOU FREE!"  ( JOHN 8:31-32 *NKJV )  So Disciples let us
begin in the Book of Daniel, where we will begin with Chapter
   Seven.

Today we will study Chapter Eight of the Book of Daniel,
and with that let us begin.....

8:1 In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar (1112) a vision
appeared to me--to me, Daniel--after the one that appeared to me the
  first time.

Daniel, after writing in Aramaic from 2:4 through 7:28 now
returns to Hebrew, signaling coming out of captivity.  Now
remember that whenever verses are written in Aramaic
they are meant to stand out and are very important.  Thus
when a Bible is translated into another language we lose the
ability to see these special verses, for it all becomes the same
language.  I will however continue to point out these special
verses for even Christ sometimes used Aramaic as well!

8:2 I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I
  was in Shushan, (7800) the citadel, which is in the province of Elam;
(5867) and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai. (195)

[Shushan] was about 230 miles east of Babylon.  [Ulai]
was an artificial canal located a few miles from Shushan.

It is believed that Daniel was in Shushan when Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-Nego were cast into the fiery furnace.

3 Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and there, standing beside the river,
was a ram (352) which had two horns, and the two horns (7161) (were
high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.

The two horns symbolize the people of Media and the
people of Persia.  Note Persia, as written in the Bible,
is the name of the country known as Iran today.

4 I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward, so
that no beast (2416) could withstand him; nor was there any that could
deliver from his hand, but he did according to his will and became
  great.

[I saw the ram pushing westward] The Persians, who were
signified by the ram, as well as their founder Cyrus, pushed
their conquests west, north and south. The principal theatre
of their wars, says Calmet, was against the SCYTHIANS,
northward; against the GREEKS, westward; and against
       the EGYPTIANS, southward.

5 And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat came from the
west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the
ground; and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

The great goat is Alexander the Great, however it should
be view as a type only.  Now remembering that Alexander
swept across the region as if he could fly, so will the
     anti-christ when he comes!

6 Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen
standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power.

[And he came to the ram.] This and the following verse
give an account of the overthrow of the Persian empire
       by Alexander.

7 And I saw him confronting the ram; he was moved with rage
against him, attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was
no power in the ram to withstand him, but he cast him down to the
ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could deliver
  the ram from his hand.

Note here the ram cast down.  this applies to two former empires
and rulers.  Medo-Persian Empires. The male goat mentioned
in verse six was Greece; the notable horn was Alexander as we
One more time we are dealing with types here.

8 Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became
strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones
came up toward the four (702) winds (7307) of heaven. (8064)

Remember that whenever you read of the Four Winds of Heaven
it always has to do with the End Time!  Now after Alexander's
death four of his General carved up the Empire thus Four
       Notables.

9 And out of one of them came a little horn (4704) which grew exceedingly
great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious  [ send green star]

PRAISE THE LORD, FOR THE LORD IS GOOD; SING

PRAISES TO HIS NAME, FOR IT IS PLEASANT.

( PSALM 135:3 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Today and every day let us sing praises to our Heavenly

Father. For it is written; SING TO THE LORD A NEW SONG,

AND HIS PRAISE IN THE ASSEMBLY OF SAINTS.

( PSALM 149:1 )

Therefore we; PRAISE GOD IN HIS SANCTUARY;

PRAISE HIM IN HIS MIGHTY FIRMAMENT! PRAISE HIM

FOR HIS MIGHTY ACTS; PRAISE HIM ACCORDING TO

HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS! PRAISE HIM WITH THE

SOUND OF THE TRUMPET; PRAISE HIM WITH LUTE AND

HARP! PRAISE HIM WITH THE TIMBREL AND DANCE;

PRAISE HIM WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS AND

FLUTES! PRAISE HIM WITH LOUD CYMBALS; PRAISE

HIM WITH CLASHING CYMBALS! LET EVERYTHING

THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD.

( PSALM 150:1-6 )

So Kathleen, why not attend your Church today, and be part

praise our Heavenly Father! Amen.

Now may your day be filled with Peace, and with God's

DO YOU HEAR WHAT THESE CHILDREN ARE SAYING?

"YES!" REPLIED JESUS, "HAVE YOU NEVER READ, FROM

THE LIPS OF CHILDREN AND INFANTS YOU HAVE

ORDAINED PRAISE!"

( MATTHEW 21:16 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

Jesus' was quoting Psalm 8:2 in the verse above to the

Chief Priests as HE entered the Temple.

On the lighter side, we often find that children do amuse us

with their explanations. So Kathleen, I hope that you will enjoy

the following encounter between a Sunday School Teacher

and her Kindergarten Class! After all, it is said "Laughter is

the best Medicine", especially for a Saturday Morning!

Out Of The Mouth Of Babes.......

After teaching the children about Salvation, the Teacher

asked her Sunday School Class:

"If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and

gave all my money to the Church, would that get me into

Heaven?"

"NO!" the children all answered.

"If I cleaned the Church every day, mowed the yard, and kept

everything neat and tidy, would that get me into Heaven?"

Again, the answer was, "NO!"

"Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave candy to all the

children, and loved my husband, would that get me into Heaven?"

The Teacher asked them again.

Again, they all answered, "NO!"

"Well," The Teacher replied, "then how can I get into Heaven?"

A five-year-old boy shouted out, "YOU GOTTA BE DEAD!"

TO KEEP ME FROM BECOMING CONCEITED BECAUSE OF

THESE SURPASSINGLY GREAT REVELATIONS, THERE WAS

GIVEN ME A THORNE IN MY FLESH, A MESSENGER OF

SATAN, TO TORMENT ME.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 12:7 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

It is believed that the "throne" Paul was talking about was his

poor eye sight! After all it is known that Paul dictated almost

all of his letters (Books) to the Apostle Luke to write for him.

Paul even made reference to his poor vision when he wrote:

SEE WITH WHAT LARGE LETTERS I HAVE WRITTEN TO

YOU WITH MY OWN HAND! ( GALATIANS 6:11 )

It must have been very hard for the Apostle Paul to have such

poor eye sight for he stated that; "THREE TIMES I PLEADED

WITH THE LORD TO TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME. BUT HE

SAID TO ME, "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY

POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS,"

( 2 CORINTHIANS 12:8-9 )

Isn't it wonderful Kathleen, that God's Grace is there for us

as well! Therefore; LET US THEN APPROACH THE THRONE

OF GRACE WITH CONFIDENCE, SO THAT WE MAY

RECEIVE MERCY AND FIND GRACE TO HELP US IN OUR

TIME OF NEED. ( HEBREWS 4:16 )

So Kathleen, when you face difficulties in your life, try to be

like Paul, for he said, THEREFORE I WILL BOAST ALL THE

MORE GLADLY ABOUT MY WEAKNESS, SO THAT CHRIST'S

POWER MAY REST ON ME. THAT IS WHY, FOR CHRIST'S

SAKE, I DELIGHT IN WEAKNESSES, IN INSULTS, IN

HARDSHIPS, IN PERSECUTIONS, IN DIFFICULTIES. FOR

WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9-10 )

Now may, THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BE

WITH YOUR SPIRIT. AMEN! ( PHILIPPIANS 4:23 )

BEAR WITH ONE ANOTHER AND FORGIVE ONE

ANOTHER, IF ANYONE HAS A COMPLAINT AGAINST

ANOTHER; EVEN AS CHRIST FORGAVE YOU, SO YOU

ALSO MUST DO.

( COLOSSIANS 3:13 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Now I know that forgiving another is hard for us

to do at times, but when we remember how very much

God has forgiven us; it becomes much less difficult to

do. After all just thinking about God's tremendous Love

and Forgiveness can help us to forgive and love each

other.

So as God's Children we should; NOT RETURN EVIL

FOR EVIL OR REVILING FOR REVILING, BUT ON THE

CONTRARY BLESSING, KNOWING THAT YOU WERE

CALLED TO THIS, THAT YOU MAY INHERIT A

BLESSING. ( 1 PETER 3:9 )

Therefore; LET ALL BITTERNESS, WRATH, ANGER,

CLAMOR, AND EVIL SPEAKING BE PUT AWAY FROM

YOU, WITH ALL MALICE. AND BE KIND TO ONE

ANOTHER, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVING ONE

ANOTHER, EVEN AS GOD IN CHRIST FORGAVE YOU.

( EPHESIANS 4:31-32 )

So Kathleen, forgive those who offend you, and do

not try to get even, FOR WE KNOW HIM WHO SAID,

'VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,' SAYS THE

LORD. AND AGAIN, 'THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS

PEOPLE. ( HEBREWS 10:30 )

WAIT ON THE LORD; BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE

SHALL STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART; WAIT, I SAY, ON

THE LORD.

( PSALM 27:14 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

As we all know, there are times in this life when we

become discouraged, and feel like giving up on a person,

place or thing. Then that causes us to lose confidence

in ourselves.

Therefore when you are facing such a situation do not

give up, but turn to; HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO

EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE

ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT

WORKS IN US. ( EPHESIANS 3:20 ) For it is important

that you; DO NOT CAST AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE

WHICH HAS GREAT REWARD. ( HEBREWS 10:35 )

So Kathleen, do not give up or become discouraged!

Instead ask for God's help and wait on His timing, and

if it still doesn't happen, know that He has something or

someone even better planned for you! For you may; BE

CONFIDENT OF THIS VERY THING, THAT HE WHO HAS

BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL COMPLETE IT

MY BROTHERN, COUNT IT ALL JOY WHEN YOU FALL INTO

VARIOUS TRAILS, KNOWING THAT THE TESTING OF YOUR

FAITH PRODUCES PATIENCE.

( JAMES 1:2-3 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

We all have times in our lives when our patience and our

endurance seem to be running low. Times that we may

even think that we can't take it anymore. When that happens

to you remember that our Heavenly Father is a; GOD OF

PATIENCE AND COMFORT. ( ROMANS 15:5 ) He is always

there for us, and will lead us out of our problems if we practice

patience.

Now we learn by reading the Scriptures that patience is a

Virtue. FOR WHATEVER THINGS WERE WRITTEN BEFORE

WERE WRITTEN FOR OUR LEARNING, THAT WE THROUGH

THE PATIENCE AND COMFORT OF THE SCRIPTURES MIGHT

HAVE HOPE. ( ROMANS 15:4 )

Further by learning about how God has handled things in

the past gives us knowledge of how He will handle the future

as well. Remember the story of Job and how he endured? The

Bible tells us; INDEED WE COUNT THEM BLESSED WHO

ENDURE. YOU HAVE HEARD OF THE PATIENCE OF JOB

AND SEEN THE END INTENDED BY THE LORD-THAT

THE LORD IS VERY COMPASSIONATE AND MERCIFUL.

( JAMES 5:11 )

So never give up, wait patiently and be sure; THAT YOU

DO NOT BECOME SLUGGISH, BUT IMITATORS OF

THOSE WHO THROUGH FAITH AND PATIENCE INHERIT

THE PROMISES. ( HEBREWS 6:12 )

Therefore Kathleen, MAY THE LORD DIRECT YOUR HEART

INTO THE LOVE OF GOD AND INTO THE PATIENCE OF

CHRIST. ( 2 THES 3:5 ) and; LET PATIENCE HAVE ITS

PERFECT WORK, THAT YOU MAY BE PERFECT AND

COMPLETE, LACKING NOTHING. Amen.

BE JOYFUL IN HOPE, PATIENT IN AFFLICTION, FAITHFUL

IN PRAYER.

( ROMANS 12:12 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

We have hope because of our faith in our Savior Jesus

Christ and; HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT, BECAUSE

THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN POURED OUT IN OUR

HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WAS GIVEN US.

( ROMANS 5:5 )

Now when we are afflicted, we have God's promise that;

THE RIGHTEOUS MAN IS RESCUED FROM TROUBLE,

AND IT COMES ON THE WICKED INSTEAD.

( PROVERBS 11:8 ) For it is also written; I WILL NEVER

LEAVE YOU; NEVER WILL I FORSAKE YOU.

( HEBREWS 13:5 )

Therefore; DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING,

BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND PETITION,

WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS

TO GOD. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6 ) After all, it is written;

THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL

AND EFFECTIVE. ( JAMES 5:16 )

So Kathleen, never let disappointments cause you to

lose hope, for God is always with you. Therefore my

friend; REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS. I WILL SAY

AGAIN REJOICE. Amen! ( PHILIPPIANS 4:4 )

This is the Great White Judgment ( REV 20:11-15 ) also
called "the second death" which happens after the
millennium, and is for those who overcome during the
millennium.  We will study the millennium in a later lesson.
The first Judgment is of course when Christ returns.

11 "I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words
which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain,
and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

The ten kings in the roll of anti-christ are cast into the
       lake of fire ( REV 19:20 )

12 As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken
away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

A short reign by satan. As we will learn latter this is
a five month period sometimes called the season of
the fig.  More on that later.

13 "I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the
Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven!  He came to the
Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.

This is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  "Ancient
      of Days" refers to God!

14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That
all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion
is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His
kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.

This is the Eternal Kingdom of Almighty God!

15 "I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body, and the
visions of my head troubled me.

Now Daniel, living in ancient times, could not comprehend
all of what he saw in this vision. So naturally it troubled him.

16 I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the
truth of all this. So he told me and made known to me the
  interpretation of these things:

"Came Near To One" speaking of an angel who interpreted
       the vision for Daniel..

17 'Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise
  out of the earth.

Four kingdoms or Nations will come to power.

18 But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and
possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

"Saints" can refer to angels or to redeemed men and women.
       ( see PS 16:3; 30:4; 31:23; 37:28; PROV 2:8; ROM 1:7;
       REV 5:8 )  Hey, that's us friends!

19 "Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which
was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth
of iron and its nails of bronze, which devoured, broke in pieces, and
  trampled the residue with its feet;

20 and the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn
which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which
had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose
appearance was greater than his fellows.

"The Ten Horns" are ten evil angels he brought with him .
"Appearance Was Greater" This would be satan
       ( see Rev 13:11-12 )

21 I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the
  saints, and prevailing against them,

Daniel's vision reveals the hostility waged by the little horn
against the saints.  a the comparison of Daniel's "little
horn" and John's "beast of the sea" in Revelation, is
       unmistakable Indeed.

22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in
favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the
  saints to possess the kingdom.

After the White Throne Judgment, and the unsaved are cast
      into the lake of fire.

23 "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast shall be A fourth kingdom on
earth, Which shall be different from all other kingdoms, And shall
devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces.

"Trample and Break It" meaning take it over for satan Shall
Enter Peaceable and Profitability. ( see DAN 11:24 )

24 The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this
kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from
the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.

The ten horns, or ten kings mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
       ( see REV 17:12 )

25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall
persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change
times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a
time and times and half a time.

"Times , Times & half a Time" is a Hebrew Idiom meaning
not a specific period of time, but rather a period of time
that God in His Mercy would shorten.  God did just that in
the Book of Revelation.  For satan's reign will last for only
5 months.  This time was shortened in REV 9 for the
       Elects sake.

26 'But the court shall be seated, And they shall take away his  dominion, To consume and destroy it forever.

27 Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the
kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the
saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.'

He shows why the beast would be destroyed, that is,
so that his Church might have rest and quietness,
which though they do not fully enjoy here, yet they

Bible Study September 25, 2006 8:30 AM

As we explore the Word of God many of you will find that what
we have learned in Sunday School, saw in movies, or read in books,
was very much incorrect.  This is because one must study the Word
as written in there Original Languages to fully understand what there
true meaning is. Therefore I will be teaching the Word as written, in
the Original Transcripts, so you may learn the truth of God's Holy
   Word.
                      ___________________________________

                       *****IMPORTANT Read This First:*****
It may be purchased for less than
   $20.00.

Now before we will study the Prophecies of Daniel let us learn
a few facts about this Book.  First, Daniel uses two languages,
   Aramaic 2:4 - 7:28; & Hebrew 8:1 - 12:13. This is in addition to
a few words from the Persian and Greek languages. Also the
name Daniel in Hebrew means [ God is my judge ].

Now Kathleen, remember that Jesus Christ said "IF YOU ABIDE
IN MY WORD, YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES INDEED.  AND YOU
SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE
YOU FREE!"  ( JOHN 8:31-32 *NKJV )  So Disciples let us
begin in the Book of Daniel, where we will start with Chapter
Seven since we are studying the Prophseies of the End Times.

                                    Daniel, Chapter 7

7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream
and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream,
  telling the main facts.

Now Chapter Five records the death of Belshazzar, so we
know that this Book is not written in chronological order.
In fact this Chapter was written three years before Chapter
       Five..

2 Daniel spoke, saying, "I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the
four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.

The four winds as written in EZ 37; REV 7 have to do
with the end of this Earth age.  The "Great Sea" represents
       the people of the World.

3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the
  other.

"Four Beasts" represent Four Kings or Leaders.  Again the
"Great Sea" are the Nations or people of this World.

4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings
were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand
on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

The "Lion and the Eagle" represent the king of the beasts,
and king of the birds.  This may be a reference to the "little
horn" or anti-christ.  Make note that the name "little horn" is
       one of satan's names.

5 And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up
on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth.  And
they said thus to it: 'Arise, devour much flesh!'

Devouring 3 Earthly kings or kingdoms and taking them
over.  The bear is thought of as the Northern kingdoms.
A few even believe that it may represent Russia, but
       that is unlikely.

6 "After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had
on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and
  dominion was given to it.

Horns represent power.  "The Four Wings" are the 4 Hidden
Dynasties written about in ZECHARIAH 1, we will study those
Hidden Dynasties in a future lesson.

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful
and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring,
breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different
from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

Ten Horns" Rev 17:11 supernatural here.  Ten evil angels
who will be given power by the anit-christ.

8 I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one,
coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were
plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the
eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.

NOTE: "little horn" is one of satan's names!

9 "I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was
seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was
  like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;

"Fiery Flame" symbolizes judgment.  "Its Wheels" make
reference to the chariot which God rides to exercise His
sovereignty and to appear as Judge. ( see EZ 1:15-21 )
"Ancient of Days" is God Almighty Himself.

10 A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand
thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood
before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.

BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS

CHRIST, THE FATHER OF MERCIES AND GOD OF ALL

COMFORT, WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR TRIBULATION,

THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO COMFORT THOSE WHO ARE IN

ANY TROUBLE, WITH THE COMFORT WITH WHICH WE

OURSELVES ARE COMFORTED BY GOD.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

When troubles find there way into our lives, we can always

count on our Heavenly Father for comfort, strength and

guidance. For God has said; "CALL UPON ME IN THE DAY

OF TROUBLE; I WILL DELIVER YOU, AND YOU SHALL

GLORIFY ME." Also our Savior Jesus Christ said; "LET NOT

YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED; YOU BELIEVE IN GOD,

BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." ( PSALM 50:15 ) & ( JOHN 14:1 )

Now Kathleen, when you go through one of those trying

times, why not ask God to comfort you? He is waiting

there with open arms to embrace you and to direct your

pathway through any difficulty. After all with God on your

side who or what can harm you? For it is written; HE

WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN

THE WORLD. ( 1 JOHN 4:4 )

Therefore remember the words of our Savior Jesus

Christ, for He said; "PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY

PEACE I GIVE TO YOU; NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES

DO I GIVE TO YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE

TROUBLED, NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID."

( JOHN 14:27 )

So turn your problems over to God, and let him guide your

path, and don't let those troubles cause you another

sleepless night! For soon you will be saying; "I WILL BOTH

LIE DOWN IN PEACE, AND SLEEP; FOR YOU ALONE,

O LORD, MAKE ME DWELL IN SAFETY. ( PSALM 4:8 )

Have a wonderful day Kathleen, one that is filled with; THE

PEACE OF GOD WHICH SURPASSES ALL

UNDERSTANDING, and may it; GUARD YOUR HEART AND

MIND THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:7 )

BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK. IF ANY-

ONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL

COME IN TO HIM AND DINE WITH HIM, AND HE WITH ME.

( REVELATION 3:20 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Jesus' is knocking on the door of our heart every time that

we feel moved to go to Church, or to study the Word of God etc.

For when Jesus knocks we automatically sense that we should

turn to Him.

Now when we open the door of our hearts to Him, He

promises, I WILL GIVE YOU A NEW HEART AND PUT MY

SPIRIT WITHIN YOU; I WILL TAKE THE HEART OF STONE

OUT OF YOUR FLESH, AND GIVE YOU A HEART OF FLESH.

( EZEKIEL 36:26 )

So Kathleen, don't let problems stop you from opening the door

of your heart all the way, and always keep it open! For then

you will never miss Jesus when He knocks; AND LET THE

PEACE OF GOD RULE IN YOUR HEART, TO WHICH ALSO

YOU WERE CALLED IN ONE BODY; AND BE THANKFUL.

( COLOSSIANS 3:15 )

In closing, may; THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS

CHRIST, AND THE LOVE OF GOD, AND THE COMMUNION

OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU my friend! AMEN.

THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING, AND A SEASON FOR

EVERY ACTIVITY UNDER HEAVEN.

( ECCLESIASTES 3:1 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

On this the First Day of Fall, when we take the time to stop

and enjoy the World around us, we find God's beautiful creation

everywhere. For no matter where we may live beauty surrounds

us! FOR HE HAS MADE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IN ITS

TIME. ( ECCLESIASTES 3:11 )

It is especially beautiful this time of year! So why not take

a few moments today and enjoy God's fall creation! It will

make you feel blessed to live in such a beautiful land.

I am closing this message today with a poem that I hope

you will enjoy as much as I do. It is titled:

AUTUMN IS NATURE'S MASTERPIECE

Autumn is Nature's masterpiece

When every tree's aglow;

Before the leaves have fallen

And the hills are white with snow.

The bounty of the harvest

Is a treasure to behold,

For the fruits of our labor

Are more valuable than gold.

There's a change in the weather

That fills the heart with cheer;

With the holidays approaching

In the twilight of the year.

There's a feeling of thanksgiving

That comes to one and all;

When we count our many blessings

As the leaves begin to fall.

Now have a wonderful weekend Kathleen, and may God Bless

You! Amen.

FOR I, THE LORD YOUR GOD, WILL HOLD YOUR RIGHT

HAND, SAYING TO YOU, "FEAR NOT, I WILL HELP YOU."

( ISAIAH 41:13 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

We often face troubling times in our lives that cause us

to worry, and lose sleep. As a child of God, always know

that you have Him with you, holding your hand, and guiding

your pathway through those times. For; THE LORD IS

GOOD, A STRONGHOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE; AND

HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM.

( NAHUM 1:7 )

After all, He will never abandon HIS Children, throughout

their entire lives. For He is always with us no matter what

we may face, as He further promised, "WHEN YOU PASS

THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU; AND

THROUGH THE RIVERS,* THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW

YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE FIRE,* YOU

SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR SHALL THE FLAME

SCORCH YOU." ( ISAIAH 43:2 )

[*Rivers and *Fire in the verse represent difficulties in our

lives]

Therefore; "FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT

DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL

STRENGTHEN YOU, YES, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILL

UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND."

( ISAIAH 41:10 )

So the next time you face troubling times, do as Jesus

said, "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED; YOU

BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." (JOHN 14:1)

Then; WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE

AFRAID; YES, YOU WILL LIE DOWN AND YOUR

SLEEP WILL BE SWEET. Sweet indeed! Amen.

( PROVERBS 3:24 )

Now Kathleen, have a great day walking hand and hand

with God, and knowing that He is by your side!

JESUS SAID TO HIM, "THOMAS, BECAUSE YOU HAVE

SEEN ME, YOU HAVE BELIEVED. BLESSED ARE

THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN AND YET HAVE

BELIEVED."

(JOHN 20:29 *NKJ )

Dear Kathleen,

Not seeing and still believing is what being a true

Christian is all about. FOR WE WALK BY FAITH,

NOT BY SIGHT. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 )

Now walking by faith my dear friend, is believing with

all of your heart, mind and soul that God will Guide you

and Protect you. Also believing that He is there to

Comfort, Bless and Love you, and knowing that He is

here performing Miracles all over the Earth each and

every day!

Further, by believing that if you ask God to take control

of your life and will, your life will vastly improve! It is by

seeing the beauty that surrounds us in this World, and

how perfectly everything works together, and knowing

that all of this could not have happened by accident!

For BY FAITH WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS

WERE FRAMED BY THE WORD OF GOD, SO THAT

THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN WERE NOT MADE

OF THINGS WHICH ARE VISIBLE. ( HEBREWS 11:3 )

No, we can't see God standing on the street corner

touching lives, healing people and caring for them, but

those with faith know that He is there! So don't ever be like

doubting Thomas, instead know that God is watching over

you right know! Therefore Kathleen, have a wonderful

day knowing that you are in good hands indeed! Amen!

HE HAS CAUSED HIS WONDERS TO BE REMEMBERED;

THE LORD IS GRACIOUS AND COMPASSIONATE.

( PSALM 111:4*NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

Now I ask you, who could ever measure the great Love

and Compassion our Lord has for each of us? For; AS A

FATHER HAS COMPASSION ON HIS CHILDREN, SO

THE LORD HAS COMPASSION ON THOSE WHO FEAR**

HIM. NOTE: **"Fear" should read "Revere."

( PSALM 103:13 )

God is always with us, protecting, helping, and guiding

us. DAVID SAID ABOUT HIM "I SAW THE LORD

ALWAYS BEFORE ME. BECAUSE HE IS AT MY RIGHT

HAND, I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN. ( ACTS 2:25 ) Now

that does not mean that we will never have a problem, but

it does mean that He will help us if we ask Him to.

Further; WE KNOW THAT WE LIVE IN HIM AND HE

IN US, BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN US OF HIS SPIRIT.

AND SO WE KNOW AND RELY ON THE LOVE GOD HAS

FOR US. GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE

LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM. ( 1 JOHN 4:13 & 16 )

Therefore as a Child of God, just think about the

Enormous Love and Compassion Jesus has for you! After

all He smiles with you, laughs, and cries with you. And He

has promised us; THOUGH THE MOUNTAINS BE SHAKEN

AND THE HILLS BE REMOVED, YET MY UNFAILING

LOVE FOR YOU WILL NOT BE SHAKEN NOR MY

COVENANT OF PEACE BE REMOVED, SAYS THE

LORD, WHO HAS COMPASSION ON YOU.

( ISAIAH 54:10 )

So my friend, as the Old Hymn states, "What A Friend

We Have In Jesus!" Oh, what a Friend we have indeed!

Amen!

19 The LORD will hand over both Israel and you to the Philistines,
and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will
also hand over the army of Israel to the Philistines."

[Tomorrow you and your sons will be with me]  What
an awful message! In the course of the ensuing day
you shall be slain, your three sons shall be slain, and
the armies of Israel shall be delivered into the hands
       of the Philistines!

20 Immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, filled with fear
because of Samuel's words. His strength was gone, for he had
eaten nothing all that day and night.

A day later Saul and his sons would die in a battle with
       the Philistines.

21 When the woman came to Saul and saw that he was greatly
shaken, she said, "Look, your maidservant has obeyed you. I took
my life in my hands and did what you told me to do.

22 Now please listen to your servant and let me give you some food
so you may eat and have the strength to go on your way."

23 He refused and said, "I will not eat." But his men joined the
woman in urging him, and he listened to them. He got up from the
ground and sat on the couch.

24 The woman had a fattened calf at the house, which she
butchered at once. She took some flour, kneaded it and baked
  bread without yeast.

[The woman had a fat calf]  In hot countries they
could not keep fresh meat with them for any length of
time; hence, they generally kept young animals, such
as calves, lamb, etc, ready for slaughter; and when
there was a occasion, one of them was killed and
        dressed immediately.

[Baked bread without yeast] There was no time to bake
leavened bread (i.e. with yeast); that would have taken
considerable time, in order that the leaven (yeast)
could leaven (spread throughout) the whole lump.

25 Then she set it before Saul and his men, and they ate. That
same night they got up and left.

    ( Please now read Chapter's 29 & 30 before continuing this
   lesson. )
                               1 Samuel, Chapter 31

31:1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled
before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa. (1533)

"Mount Gilboa" was a small mountain range located
in the eastern part of the Jezreel valley.

2 The Philistines pressed hard after Saul and his sons, and they
killed his sons Jonathan, (3083) Abinadab (853) and Malki-Shua. (4444)

Saul's fourth son, Ishbosheth, was absent from this
battle for Abner appointed him king after Saul's death.
       ( see 2 SAM 2:8-10 )

3 The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers
overtook him, they wounded him critically.

4 Saul said to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword and run me
through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me
through and abuse me." But his armor-bearer was terrified and
would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

This story is different from the one told in:
( 2 Samuel 1 :6-10.)  This purpose of fabrication was
       probably to win David's favor.

5 When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his
  sword and died with him.

6 So Saul and his three sons and his armor-bearer and all his men  died together that same day.

"All Of His Men," does not refer to the entire army. ( verse 7 )
but rather to the men who were his royal bodyguards.

7 When the Israelites along the valley and those across the Jordan
saw that the Israelite army had fled and that Saul and his sons had
died, they abandoned their towns and fled. And the Philistines
  came and occupied them.

The valley mentioned here is Jezreel.  The people fled
from many cities to remote regions to avoid the Philistine
       menace.

8 The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they
found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

9 They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and they sent
messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the
news in the temple of their idols and among their people.

Now battlefield looting was the common practice in
ancient times.  Thus the victors gathered clothes,
weapons, armor etc. from those who were slain.

10 They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths (6252) and fastened
his body to the wall of Beth-Shan. (1052)

Saul's armor was now dedicated to the worship of
Ashtoreth, or Ishtar, the Canaanite goddess' of
       fertility or war.
While Saul's body was fastened to the wall of the city,
his head was displayed in the Temple of Dagon.
       (see 1 CHR 10:10 )

11 When the people of Jabesh Gilead (3033/1568) heard of what the
  Philistines had done to Saul,

12 all their valiant men journeyed through the night to Beth-Shan.
They took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of
Beth-Shan and went to Jabesh, (3003) where they burned them.

Cremation was not the practice for disposing of bodies
among the ancient Hebrews.  However, there is nothing
written in the Scriptures forbidding it.

13 Then they took their bones and buried them under a tamarisk
tree at Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.

David later exhumed the bodies of Saul and Jonathan  [ send green star]

Now Kathleen, we will explore another Chapter of God's Letter
   To Us, "The Holy Bible."

                               1 Samuel, Chapter 28

28:1 In those days the Philistines (6430) gathered their forces to fight
against Israel. Achish (397)said to David, "You must understand that
you and your men will accompany me in the army."

The Philistines were at war with Israel during the entire
reign of king Saul.  ( see 14:52 )

2 David said, "Then you will see for yourself what your servant can
do."Achish replied, "Very well, I will make you my bodyguard for
  life."

David had no choice but to join the Philistines for his
very own life would have been in danger if he refused!
Now David found himself not only joining their army, but
also as a chief bodyguard for their king.

3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and
buried him in his own town of Ramah. (7414) Saul had expelled the
mediums and spiritists from the land.

"Mediums and Spiritualists," this comes from The Hebrew
word {yidd'oniy] meaning wizards or witches, those who
try to communicate with the dead..  Now in keeping with
God's law, persons associated with this had been expelled
from the land of Israel, and that applies to us as well for it
is forbidden!  (see EX 22:18; LEV 19:31; DUET 18:9-14 )
Therefore we are to stay clear of the occults.

4 The Philistines assembled and came and set up camp at
Shunem, (7766) while Saul gathered all the Israelites and set up
  camp at Gilboa. (533)

The village of Shunem was located in the valley of
Jezreel, on the south slope of the hill known as
Moreh.  Saul's troops were about 5 miles south of
       that location.

5 When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his
  heart.

Saul's continuing disobedience had left him completely
without confidence in God's presence and protection, so
he was scared to death of the Philistine Army.

6 He inquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him by
dreams or Urim (224) or prophets.

Remember the "Urim" was the high priest's breastplate.
Saul was now on his own without God's protection!

7 Saul then said to his attendants, "Find me a woman who is a
medium, so I may go and inquire of her." "There is one in Endor," (5874)
  they said.

Typical Saul, instead of repenting his sin and asking for
God's forgiveness, he instead seeks the wisdom of a witch!
A forbidden source of counsel indeed!   This tragic
decision cost Saul and his family their lives, as we will
       soon see.

8 So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night
he and two men went to the woman. "Consult a spirit for me," he
said, "and bring up for me the one I name."

In light of Saul's purge of all spiritists and mediums, he
could not expect much help from them if his identity
       became known.

9 But the woman said to him, "Surely you know what Saul has
done. He has cut off the mediums and spiritists from the land. Why
have you set a trap for my life to bring about my death?"

The woman was well informed as to what Saul had
been doing to those who practiced the occults.  So
she was testing him to see if he was a spy trying to
trap her, and thus put her to death.

10 Saul swore to her by the LORD, "As surely as the LORD lives,
you will not be punished for this."

11 Then the woman asked, "Whom shall I bring up for you?"
  "Bring up Samuel," he said.

Saul sought the help of Samuel because he had spoken
       God's word to Saul before.

12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out at the top of her
voice and said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are
  Saul!"

The woman now knew who her client was, plus she was
in shock that she had encountered the real Samuel, thus
she "cried at the top of her lungs."  You can see God's
hand in bring back Samuel from Heaven.

13 And the king said to her, "Do not be afraid. What did you see?"
And the woman said to Saul, "I saw a spirit ascending out of the
  earth."

14 So he said to her, "What is his f  [ send green star]

FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF

PEACE, AS IN ALL THE CHURCHES OF THE SAINTS.

( 1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

In this World today it is hard for most people to find any

peace at all. Confusion abounds no matter where we go.

Jesus warned us about that for He said; "THESE THINGS I

HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE

PEACE. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION;

BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE

WORLD." ( JOHN 16:33 )

After all it is written that; THE LORD WILL GIVE STRENGTH

TO HIS PEOPLE; THE LORD WILL BLESS HIS PEOPLE

WITH PEACE. ( PSALM 29:11 ) So when you find yourself

confused, Kathleenl, always look to Jesus Christ for; HE HIMSELF

IS OUR PEACE. ( EPHESIANS 2:14 ) After all He said,

"PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE YOU."

( JOHN 14:27 )

Now that is a loving caring peace that we become filled

with on our spiritual journey, and peace is only one of the

many blessings we receive on that journey, for it is also

written; THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE,

PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS,

GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL. AGAINST SUCH

THINGS THERE IS NO LAW. ( GALATIANS 5:22-23 )

So Kathleen, it is my prayer that you are well on your way

down that spiritual path right now, and that; THE PEACE OF

GOD WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL

GUARD YOUR HEART AND MIND THROUGH JESUS

CHRIST. Amen! ( PHILIPPIANS 4:7 )

LET US FEAR** THE LORD OUR GOD WHO GIVES AUTUMN

AND SPRING RAINS IN SEASON, WHO ASSURES US OF

THE REGULAR WEEKS OF HARVEST.

( JEREMIAH 5:24 *NIV ) [ **Fear should read Revere ]

Dear Kathleen,

The beautiful colors of Autumn will soon be upon us. A time

of harvest, and a slight Winter chill in the air. After all; THERE IS

A TIME FOR EVERYTHING, AND A SEASON FOR EVERY

ACTIVITY UNDER HEAVEN. ( ECCLESIASTES 3:1 )

So today, I would like to share a poem with you about one

of my favorite seasons! I hope you will enjoy!

Although I like September,

I feel a sadness, too,

As the summer days now dwindle

To just a precious few.

The corner play lot's empty

With a melancholy look;

The children have returned to school

With pencil, pad and book.

Songbirds are flying south again

Before the cold winds blow;

I marvel how our caring God

Tells them it's time to go.

The hills are tinged with red and gold,

Etched on Summer's green

And everywhere I look I see

A golden harvest scene.

A pumpkin in the garden patch

Lends a note of cheer,

Reminding us God sends bright gifts

Whatever time of year.

So I will greet September,

Put on my brightest shawl,

Be thankful for each season sent

As Summer turns to Fall.

Poet, Kay Hoffman

So Kathleen, enjoy the last days of Summer while they are still

with us, because the leaves are beginning to fall.

THE LORD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU; THE LORD MAKE

HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU AND BE GRACIOUS TO YOU;

THE LORD TURN HIS FACE TOWARD YOU AND GIVE YOU

PEACE!

( NUMBERS 6:24-26 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

Often when we count our blessings we forget many of them.

So today I will share a few with you that we never think about.

Now the following was sent to me by one of our subscribers,

and it gives us even more blessings to count!

If you woke up this morning

with more health than illness,

you are more blessed than the

million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced

the danger of battle,

the loneliness of imprisonment,

the agony of torture or

the pangs of starvation,

you are ahead of 20 million people

around the world.

If you can attend a church meeting

without fear of harassment,

arrest, torture, or death,

you are more blessed than almost

three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,

clothes on your back, a roof over

your head and a place to sleep,

you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,

in your wallet, and spare change

in a dish someplace, you are among

the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,

you are very rare, especially in this World

today.

If you hold up your head with a smile

on your face and are truly thankful,

you are blessed because the majority can,

but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them

or even touch them on the shoulder,

you are blessed because you can

offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message,

you are more blessed than over

two billion people in the world

that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways

you may never even know.

So Kathleen, let us; GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR

HE IS GOOD: HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. Amen.

BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR

ADVERSARY THE DEVIL WALKS ABOUT LIKE A

ROARING LION, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR.

( 1 PETER 5:8 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

As you know we all face temptations from time to time.

When we are tempted it is important to remember that

they come from satan, and not God. For it is written,

LET NO ONE SAY WHEN HE IS TEMPTED, 'I AM

TEMPTED BY GOD.'; FOR GOD CANNOT BE TEMPTED

BY EVIL, NOR DOES HE HIMSELF TEMPT ANYONE.

BUT EACH ONE IS TEMPTED WHEN HE IS DRAWN

AWAY BY HIS OWN DESIRES AND ENTICED.

( JAMES 1:13-14 )

So when satan tries to tempt you SUBMIT TO GOD.

RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.

( JAMES 4:7 ) After all our Savior Jesus Christ gave

us power over the devil when He said, I HAVE GIVEN YOU

AUTHORITY TO TRAMPLE ON SERPENTS AND

SCORPIONS, AND OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE

ENEMY, AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS

HURT YOU. ( LUKE 10:19 )

FINALLY MY BROTHERN, BE STRONG IN THE LORD

AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT. PUT ON THE

WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE

TO STAND AGAINST THE WILES OF THE DEVIL.

( EPHESIANS 6:10-11 ) Then you will be able to take

names and kick serpent, when satan tries to tempt you!

Have a wonderful day Kathleen, and remember that we

are not human beings having a Spiritual experience, but

Spiritual beings having a human experience! Amen.

FOR YOU ARE MY HOPE, O LORD GOD; YOU ARE MY TRUST

FROM MY YOUTH.

( PSALMS 71:5 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

When you feel stressed, worried or overwhelmed by things or

people in this World, always put your hope and trust in God. Have

faith that He will guide you through the stumbling blocks that life

has put before you! For it is written, SO DO NOT FEAR, FOR I AM

WITH YOU; DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD.

( ISAIAH 41:10 )

Also remember that God has promised us; NEVER WILL I

LEAVE YOU; NEVER WILL I FORSAKE YOU. SO WE SAY WITH

CONFIDENCE, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE

AFRAID. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME?"

( HEBREWS 13:5-6 )

Therefore never try to make decisions, or to fight the battles of

life alone. Always ask God in prayer for the HIS help. HE will

then not only provide help and guidance, but also will bless you

as well, for it is written; BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN

THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN HIM.

( JEREMIAH 17:7 )

Now Kathleen, my prayer for you is; MAY THE GOD OF HOPE FILL

YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE AS YOU TRUST IN HIM, SO

THAT YOU MAY OVERFLOW WITH HOPE BY THE POWER OF

THE HOLY SPIRIT. Amen.

FOR WHAT I DO IS NOT THE GOOD I WANT TO DO; NO, THE

EVIL I DO NOT WANT TO DO--THIS I KEEP DOING. WHAT A

WRETCHED MAN I AM! WHO WILL RESCUE ME FROM THIS

BODY OF DEATH?"

( ROMANS 7:19 & 24 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

Those are the words of the Apostle Paul. To remain sinless was

a struggle for him, as well as, the rest of the Apostle's! For sin has

always been a struggle for mankind since Adam and Eve!

Therefore when we slip and sin it is very important to ask our

Heavenly Father to forgive us. For it is written, IF WE CONFESS

OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST AND WILL FORGIVE US

OUR SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

Thus we become cleansed and forgiven from our past sins, and

that includes all of them! ( 1 JOHN 1:9 )

After all it is also written, "COME NOW, LET US REASON

TOGETHER, SAYS THE LORD. THOUGH YOUR SINS ARE LIKE

SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE WHITE AS SNOW; THOUGH THEY

ARE RED AS CRIMSON, THEY SHALL BE LIKE WOOL."

( ISAIAH 1:18 )

Now when we repent God's forgiveness is complete, for He has

even promised us that He won't remember them anymore. He has

said; "I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS,

AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL

REMEMBER NO MORE." ( HEBREWS 8:12 )

So Kathleen, just be the very best person that you can be, and

if you slip and sin once in a while, do not think that God doesn't

love you anymore. For no one is perfect, however once there was

one, sinless and blameless, and filled with love, and they Crucified

Him.

LET HEAVEN AND EARTH PRAISE HIM, THE SEAS AND ALL

THAT MOVE IN THEM.

( PSALM 69:34 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

There are times when we may feel that there is nothing to praise

God for. After all life can become very difficult at times. So when

you are feeling that way why not read the 103rd PSALM, for David

lists several reasons to praise God in that Psalm!

For example David wrote:

PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL; ALL MY INMOST BEING,

PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL, AND FORGET NOT ALL HIS

BENEFITS-

WHO FORGIVES ALL YOUR SINS AND HEALS ALL YOUR

DISEASES,

WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM THE PIT AND CROWNS YOU

WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION,

WHO SATISFIES YOUR DESIRES WITH GOOD THINGS SO THAT

YOUR YOUTH IS RENEWED LIKE THE EAGLE'S.

(PSALM 103:1-5 ) and those are just the first five verses, there are

seventeen more verses to be found.

When you think about it, the list is really endless! So come let us

praise the Lord and; COME, LET US BOW DOWN IN WORSHIP,

LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER; FOR WE ARE

THE PEOPLE OF HIS PASTURE, THE FLOCK UNDER HIS CARE.

( PSALM 95:6-7 )

Have a wonderful day Kathleen, and may the love of Christ

fill your heart and mind, now and always! Amen.

Bible Study (Cont'd) September 11, 2006 10:47 AM

6 So Achish gave him Ziklag (6860) that day. Therefore Ziklag has
belonged to the kings of Judah (3063) to this day.

[Achish gave him Ziklag]  Ziklag was at first given to
the tribe of Judah, but afterward it was ceded to
Simeon, ( see Joshua 15:31; 19:5.)  The Philistines had,
however, made themselves masters of it, and held it until
the time mentioned here; it then fell into the tribe of Judah
again, and continued to be the property of the kings of
       Judah.

Now either this verse is proof that this book was written
long after the days of Samuel, or someone else must
have added it, because the events mentioned in this
       verse happened after Samuel's death.

7 Now the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was one
  full year and four months.

8 And David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, (1651) the
Geshurites, (1651) and the Amalekites. (6003) For those nations were
the inhabitants of the land from of old, as you go to Shur, even as far as
  the land of Egypt. (4714)

9 Whenever David attacked the land, he left neither man nor woman
alive, but took away the sheep, the oxen, the donkeys, the camels, and
the apparel, and returned and came to Achish.

[David attacked the land]  Here was a complete massacre
of all these people, not one being left alive, lest he should
carry tidings of the disasters of his country!  The plunder
which David took consisted of sheep, oxen, asses, camels,
       and apparel.

10 Then Achish would say, "Where have you made a raid today?" And
David would say, "Against the southern area of Judah, or against the
southern area of the Jerahmeelites, (3397) or against the southern area
  of the Kenites." (7014)

[Where have you made a raid today?]  He had probably
been in the habit of making predatory excursions. This
seems to be implied in the question of Achish.

11 David would save neither man nor woman alive, to bring news to Gath,
saying, "Lest they should inform on us, saying, 'Thus David did.'" And
thus was his behavior all the time he dwelt in the country of the
  Philistines.

12 So Achish believed David, saying, "He has made his people Israel
utterly abhor him; therefore he will be my servant forever."

[He has made his people Israel utterly abhor him]
This deception, which made it look like David had
switched sides, and completely fooled Achish
who though David had truly switched allegiances.

Now Kathleen, that ends another Chapter in the life and times
of David.   We will finish the Book of 1 Samuel next week. Then we will
move on to the Book of Daniel.  We will then look at all the Prophesies
concerning the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  Therefore we will begin
in Daniel, then Ezekiel, the Minor Prophets, what Jesus' taught about the
end times in the  Gospel's, and finish in a verse by verse study of the entire
Book Of Revelation.  This will be the most complete in-depth study of
these Prophesies that I know of, so don't miss it.

This will add to your spiritual armor to protect you from
satan.  For; THEN YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE
TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!  Amen.

Although Saul had pledged he would no longer hunt
David, remember his unstable mental condition.  David
was still fearful for his life indeed!

2 So David and the six hundred men with him left and went over to
Achish (397) son of Maoch (4582) king of Gath. (1661)

[Gath] It was located nearly due east of Ashdod on the
coast and lay on a major international road running
north-south.  The ark of God was lodged there temporarily,
but the inhabitants suffered plagues, and it was moved
on to Ekron ( 1 Samuel 5:8; 6:17 ). David ruled over it
during his monarchy. It was then captured by the Syrians
      see ( 2 Kings 12:17-18] ).

3 David and his men settled in Gath with Achish. Each man had his
family with him, and David had his two wives: Ahinoam (397) of Jezreel
(3159) and Abigail (26) of Carmel, (3761) the widow of Nabal. (5037)

[Every man with his household]  So it appears that the
men who were with David had wives and families. David
and his company resembled a tribe of the wandering Arabs.

4 When Saul was told that David had fled to Gath, he no longer
  searched for him.

David's move to Philistine territory provided protection
for him from Saul.  Thus his move put an end to Saul's
       pursuit of him.

5 Then David said to Achish, "If I have found favor in your eyes, let
a place be assigned to me in one of the country towns, that I may
live there. Why should your servant live in the royal city with you?"

David was uncomfortable in Gath where the Philistines
openly practiced their own religious beliefs, for they did
not believe in our Heavenly Father to say the least.
Therefore David wanted to live in the country free of such
       practices.

Jesus Christ said; MOST ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, HE WHO

HEARS MY WORD AND BELIEVES IN HIM WHO SENT ME HAS

EVERLASTING LIFE, AND SHALL NOT COME INTO JUDGMENT,

BUT HAS PASSED FROM DEATH INTO LIFE.

( JOHN 5:24 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Today being the fifth anniversary of the date that terriorists

( satan's agents ) struck the Twin Towers, we remember all of those

who lost their lives because of the events on that day, knowing that;

THE SOULS OF THE RIGHTEOUS ARE IN THE HAND OF GOD,

AND NO TORMENT WILL EVER TOUCH THEM. IN THE EYES OF

THE FOOLISH THEY SEEM TO HAVE DIED, AND THEIR

DEPARTURE WAS THOUGHT OF AS A DISASTER, AND THEIR

GOING FROM US TO BE THEIR DESTRUCTION; BUT THEY ARE

AT PEACE.

After all; GOD HIMSELF WILL BE WITH THEM AND WILL BE

THEIR GOD. AND GOD WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM

THEIR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NOR

SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN,

FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY.

( REVELATION 21:4 )

Therefore, today, I would like to dedicate this message in

remembrance of those, from all over the World, who were killed in

New York City, and in Washington D C. that day. Remembering

that those who were God's Children are indeed.....

SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I an now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! But Jesus love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earths shadows,

Pray to trust our Fathers Will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth

You shall rest in Jesus land.

When that work is all completed,

He will gently call you Home;

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come!

With My Love & Prayers,

your servant Allen

JESUS REPLIED, "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HEAR THE

( LUKE 11:28 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

It is written; "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU; IT IS IN YOUR

OF FAITH WE ARE PROCLAIMING. ( ROMANS 10:8 )

FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND ACTIVE.

SHARPER THAN ANY DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD.

( HEBREWS 4:12 )

Therefore let us take a look at a message that I

AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, WE WILL SERVE THE

LORD.

( JOSHUA 24:15 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

As a child of GOD, we are to strive to become as much like

CHRIST as we can possibly be. Remember that CHRIST

came as a Servant, not as a Great King, and Serving others

is an important way of becoming more like JESUS!

After all our Savior JESUS CHRIST said, "FOR EVEN THE

SON OF MAN DID NOT COME TO BE SERVED BUT TO

SERVE, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM FOR MANY."

( MARK 10:45 )

Therefore we should also, BE VERY CAREFUL TO KEEP

THE COMMANDMENT AND THE LAW THAT MOSES THE

SERVANT OF THE LORD GAVE YOU: TO HOLD FAST TO

HIM AND TO SERVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND

WITH ALL YOUR SOUL. ( JOSHUA 22:5 )

Now, we may do that by sharing our love with each other,

and by Serving our Heavenly Father as well. Some Serve GOD

by teaching Sunday School, others by helping people who are

in need! After all, there are many ways to Serve our Heavenly

Father.

Therefore why not volunteer to help others when the need

arises, SINCE YOU KNOW THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AN

INHERITANCE FROM THE LORD AS A REWARD. IT IS

THE LORD CHRIST YOU ARE SERVING. Amen.

SING TO THE LORD, PRAISE HIS NAME; PROCLAIM HIS

SALVATION DAY AFTER DAY."

( PSALM 96:2 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

as you know Hymns are part of most Worship Services today,

and "HOW GOOD IT IS TO SING PRAISES TO OUR GOD,

HOW PLEASANT AND FITTING TO PRAISE HIM!"

Therefore we are to "SING TO GOD, SING PRAISES TO HIS

NAME, EXTOL HIM WHO RIDES ON THE CLOUDS- HIS NAME

IS THE LORD-AND REJOICE BEFORE HIM."

( PSALM 147:1 ) & ( PSALM 68:4 )

Now have you ever wondered when music became part of our

Worship, Kathleen? Well, Moses and the Israelites sang the first

song to the Lord ( EXODUS 15:1-18 ) However King David played

a major role in bring Hymns to the Temple, for he wrote most of

the PSALMS or "Songs," found in the Book of PSALMS. The

words of those ancient Hymns are found in our Bibles, however

the actual music has been lost through the ages.

So Kathleen, 'LET US SING FOR JOY TO THE LORD; LET US

SHOUT ALOUD TO THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION. LET US

COME BEFORE HIM WITH THANKSGIVING AND EXTOL HIM

WITH MUSIC AND SONG." ( PSALM 95:1-2 ) just as God's

Children have been doing for thousands of years now!

Have a wonderful day Kathleen, and why not attend the

Church of your choice today, and Worship your Heavenly

Father with songs and praise! Amen.

your servant Allen

BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS

CHRIST, THE FATHER OF MERCIES AND THE GOD OF ALL

COMFORT.

( 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

GOD is our comforter when troubles hit of life. For HE is the

one; WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR TRIBULATION, THAT

WE MAY COMFORT THOSE WHO ARE IN ANY TROUBLE

WITH THE COMFORT WITH WHICH WE OURSELVES ARE

COMFORTED BY GOD. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 1:4 )

After all it is written, THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE

VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, I WILL FEEL NO EVIL;

FOR YOU ARE WITH ME; YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF,

THEY COMFORT ME. ( PSALM 23:4 )

Indeed, HE comforts those who turn to HIM, and HE even

tells us to, "BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE, DO NOT

FEAR NOR BE AFRAID OF THEM; FOR THE LORD YOUR

GOD, HE IS THE ONE WHO GOES WITH YOU. HE WILL

NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU."

( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 )

So Kathleen, remember the words of our Savoir JESUS

CHRIST, for HE said "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED;

YOU BELIEVE IN GOD; BELIEVE ALSO IN ME."

( JOHN 14:1 )

Now BRETHREN MAY THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS

CHRIST BE WITH YOUR SPIRIT! AMEN. ( GALATIANS 6:18 )

FOR YOU ARE MY HOPE, O LORD GOD; YOU ARE MY

TRUST FROM MY YOUTH.

( PSALM 71:5 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

When ever you feel stressed, worried or overwhelmed by

things or people in this World, always put your hope and trust

in our Heavenly Father. Have faith that He will guide you

through the stumbling blocks that life has put before you! For

it is written, DO NOT FEAR, FOR I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT

BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. ( ISAIAH 41:10 )

Therefore never try to make decisions or to fight the battles

of life alone. Always ask God in prayer for the answers. He

will then, not only provide answers and guidance, but also will

bless you as well, for it is written, BLESSED IS THE MAN

WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN

HIM. ( JEREMIAH 17:7 )

So Kathleen, make sure that you, TRUST IN HIM AT ALL

TIMES, YOU PEOPLE; POUR OUT YOUR HEART BEFORE

HIM; GOD IS A REFUGE FOR US. ( PSALM 62:8 )

In closing, I pray that, THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU

WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE AS YOU TRUST IN HIM, SO

THAT YOU MAY OVERFLOW WITH HOPE BY THE

POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Amen

"SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE, NOT ON THINGS ON

THE EARTH."

( COLOSSIANS 3:2 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

It is very easy for us to get caught up in this materialistic

World of ours. Before we even know it we start desiring a

fancy new car, or a new home, or some other material

possession that soon dominates our hearts and minds.

Now these things can become the most important things

in our lives, and can not help replacing God as Number One

in our hearts! "FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE

YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO." ( LUKE 12:34 )

After all "THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH

SET THEIR MINDS ON THE THINGS OF THE FLESH, BUT

THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT, THE

THINGS OF THE SPIRIT. FOR TO BE CARNALLY MINDED

IS DEATH, BUT TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND

PEACE!" ( ROMANS 8:5-7 )

So keep your mind focused on Our Savior Jesus Christ so

"THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS THROUGH

FAITH." ( EPHESIANS 3:17 ) For after all we are not human

beings having a Spiritual experience, but Spiritual beings

having a human experience!

Now Kathleen, "TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO

EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK

OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN

US, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY CHRIST JESUS

TO ALL GENERATIONS, FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN"

( EPHESIANS 3:20-21 )

YOU WILL EAT THE FRUIT OF YOUR LABOR; BLESSINGS

AND PROSPERITY WILL BE YOURS.

( PSALM 128:2 *NIV )

Dear Kathleen,

As we celebrate this day let us remember the words of our

Savior Jesus Christ, for He said: "COME TO ME, ALL YOU

WHO ARE WEARY AND BURDENED, AND I WILL GIVE

YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN

FROM ME, FOR I AM GENTLE AND HUMBLE IN HEART,

AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. FOR MY

YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT." when we turn

our life and will over to Jesus Christ! (MATTHEW 11:28-30 )

After all; THE MAN WHO PLANTS AND THE MAN WHO

WATERS HAVE ONE PURPOSE, AND EACH WILL BE

REWARDED ACCORDING TO HIS OWN LABOR. FOR

WE ARE GOD'S FELLOW WORKERS; YOU ARE GOD'S

FIELD, GOD'S BUILDING. ( 1 CORINTHIANS 3:8-9 ) For;

THE WAGES OF THE RIGHTEOUS BRING THEM LIFE,

BUT THE INCOME OF THE WICKED BRINGS THEM

PUNISHMENT. ( PROVERBS 10:16 )

SO I COMMEND THE ENJOYMENT OF LIFE, BECAUSE

NOTHING IS BETTER FOR A MAN UNDER THE SUN

THAN TO EAT AND DRINK AND BE GLAD. THEN JOY

WILL ACCOMPANY HIM IN HIS WORK ALL THE DAYS

OF THE LIFE GOD HAS GIVEN HIM UNDER THE SUN.

( ECCLESIASTES 8:15 )

Therefore; WE ALWAYS THANK GOD FOR ALL OF YOU

IN OUR PRAYERS. WE CONTINUALLY REMEMBER

BEFORE OUR GOD AND FATHER YOUR WORK

PRODUCED BY FAITH, YOUR LABOR PROMPTED BY

LOVE, AND YOUR ENDURANCE INSPIRED BY HOPE

IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.

( 1 THESSALONIANS 1:2-3 )

So Kathleen, enjoy your Labor Day and may it be Safe

and Happy as well, for you have earned it.

With My Love & Prayers,

your servant Allen

AS THEY WERE EATING, JESUS TOOK BREAD, AND

BLESSED IT, AND BREAK IT, AND GAVE IT TO HIS

DISCIPLES, AND SAID, "TAKE, EAT; THIS IS MY BODY."

AND HE TOOK THE CUP, AND GAVE THANKS, AND GAVE

IT TO THEM, SAYING, "DRINK YE ALL OF IT; FOR THIS IS

MY BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, WHICH IS SHED

FOR MANY FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS."

( MATTHEW 26:26-28 *KJV )

Dear Kathleen,

When ever we recall "The Last Supper" that Jesus shared

with His Disciples, let us be mindful of the meaning of MY

BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT.

The people of the old Covenant [those we lived before

Christ, could approach God only through a Priest and an

animal sacrifice. Now we may come directly to God through

our faith, because the death of Jesus' , and His glorious

Resurrection has made us acceptable in God's sight!

For it is written, FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT

OF THE GLORY OF GOD, BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY

HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN

CHRIST JESUS. ( ROMANS 3:23-24 *NKJV )

So Kathleen, the next time you take communion meaning

[Commune with God], or share the Eucharist [Thanksgiving],

why not quietly reflect on the events that took place during His

Crucifixion, and Christ's promise to return again. For that

Return will be a truly joyful day for all of God's Children!

Bible Study (Cont'd) September 05, 2006 8:49 AM

26 Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD lives and as your soul
lives, since the LORD has held you back from coming to bloodshed
and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now then, let your
enemies and those who seek harm for my lord be as Nabal.

Abigail showed David that she was a woman of faith, piety,
       and truthfulness!

27 And now this present which your maidservant has brought to
my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord.

"This Present," refers to the provisions that she had
brought to them, and mentioned in verse 18.

28 Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant. For the LORD
will certainly make for my lord an enduring house, because my lord
fights the battles of the LORD, and evil is not found in you
  throughout your days.

Abigail's word indicated that she expected David to
succeed Saul as king, and enjoy a lengthy line of
       successors. {see verse 30 }

29 Yet a man has risen to pursue you and seek your life, but the
life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the
LORD your God; and the lives of your enemies He shall sling out,
as from the pocket of a sling.

The metaphor [Bound In A Bundle Of The Living]
reflects the ancient custom of binding valuables in
a bundle to protect them.   "Sling Out," this
metaphor signifies God's complete rejection of David's
       enemies!

30 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD has done for my lord
according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and
has appointed you ruler over Israel,

31 that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord,
either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has
avenged himself. But when the LORD has dealt well with my lord,
  then remember your maidservant."

32 Then David said to Abigail: "Blessed is the LORD God of Israel,
who sent you this day to meet me!

33 And blessed is your advice and blessed are you, because you
have kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging
  myself with my own hand.

34 For indeed, as the LORD God of Israel lives, who has kept me
back from hurting you, unless you had hastened and come to meet
me, surely by morning light no males would have been left to
  Nabal."

35 So David received from her hand what she had brought him, and
said to her, "Go up in peace to your house. See, I have heeded
your voice and respected your person."

A Hebrew translation of the phrase "[Respected Your
Person,] means "I lift up your face."   This is the
opposite of Abigail's bowing down to David as in vv. 23-24.

36 Now Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was, holding a feast in
his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal's heart was merry
within him, for he was very drunk; therefore she told him nothing,
little or much, until morning light.

37 So it was, in the morning, when the wine had gone from Nabal,
and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within
him, and he became like a stone.

Nabal  apparently suffered a stroke and became paralyzed.

38 Then it came about, after about ten days, that the LORD struck
  Nabal, and he died.

God's Judgment struck Nabal and he died.  This is
an example of what is written.   For it is written that
God said, " Vengeance Is Mine, I Will Repay."
       { see Duet 32:35; & Rom 12:19 }

39 So when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, "Blessed be
the LORD, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the
hand of Nabal, and has kept His servant from evil! For the LORD
has returned the wickedness of Nabal on his own head." And David
sent and proposed to Abigail, to take her as his wife.

[To take her to him to wife.] It is likely that he had
heard before this that Saul, to cut off all his pretensions
to the throne, had married Michal to Phalti; and this
       justified David in taking Abigail or any other woman;
and, according to the then custom, it was not unlawful
for David to take several wives. By his marriage with
Abigail, it is probable that he was able to take
possession of all Nabal's property in Carmel and Maon.

40 When the servants of David had come to Abigail at Carmel, they
spoke to her saying, "David sent us to you, to ask you to become
  his wife."

41 Then she arose, bowed her face to the earth, and said, "Here is
your maidservant, a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my
  lord."

Washing the feet of others was a servants task.  Abigail's
statement of willingness to do that showed her genuine
       gratitude to David.

42 So Abigail rose in haste and rode on a donkey, attended by five
of her maidens; and she followed the messengers of David, and
  became his wife.

43 David also took Ahinoam (293) of Jezreel, (3157) and so both of them
  were his wives.

Ahinoam became the mother of David's oldest son,
       Amnon.  { see 2 Sam 3:2 }

44 But Saul had given Michal (4324) his daughter, David's wife, to Palti
(6406) the son of Laish, (3919) who was from Gallim. (1554)

David was without his first wife Michal, because Saul
had given her to another man during David's absence.

This Lesson is Especially for: Kathleen Newton

First of all, I would like to Welcome all of the new subscriber's
to our weekly Bible Study. Please know that God is well pleased
that you care enough to study His Letter To Us, the Holy Bible.

These messages are taught for those who have their Spiritual
eyes and ears open.  However if yours are not open yet, they will
be before we finish these Lessons.  So please sharpen up, and
with full attention study these Lessons.
                     ___________________________________

                       *****IMPORTANT Read This First:*****
It may be purchased for less than
   $20.00.

Now Kathleen, we will explore another Chapter of God's Letter
   To Us, "The Holy Bible."

                            1 SAMUEL 25:1 - 25:44

25:1 Then Samuel died; and the Israelites gathered together and
lamented for him, and buried him at his home in Ramah. (7414) And David
arose and went down to the Wilderness of Paran. (6290)

[Then Samuel Died]  Samuel lived, as is supposed, about
ninety-eight years; he was in the government of Israel
before Saul from sixteen to twenty years; and ceased to
live, according to the Jews, about four months before the
death of Saul; but according to Calmet and others, two
years. But all this is very uncertain; how long he died
before Saul, remains a unknown today.

Samuel's death came at a perfect time, if there ever is one,
for David had already been acknowledged as successor to
the throne by Saul himself.  Also there was a short lived
       truce between Saul and David.

2 Now there was a man in Maon (4584) whose business was in Carmel,
(3760) and the man was very rich. He had three thousand sheep and a
thousand goats. And he was shearing his sheep in Carmel. (3760)

Maon was located in the Judean hill area.  Carmel was
located on the very edge of the Judean wilderness. This
would be about one mile north of Maon.
Now just like harvest time, the shearing of the sheep was
       a festive time indeed!

3 The name of the man was Nabal, (5037) and the name of his wife
Abigail. (26) And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful
appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. And he
was of the house of Caleb. (3612)

Nabal in Hebrew means "fool," and a fool it seems he was.
( see verse 25 )   It is not known weather he used this name
or was just called that by others.
Abigail, a woman of beauty and wisdom was in start
contrast it seems to the foolish nature of her husband.

4 When David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his
  sheep,

5 David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, "Go
up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.

6 And thus you shall say to him who lives in prosperity: 'Peace be
to you, peace to your house, and peace to all that you have!

7 Now I have heard that you have shearers. Your shepherds were
with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing
from them all the while they were in Carmel.

[Anything Missing]  David and his men provided good
protection and had not taken advantage of their
       position of authority.

8 Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my
young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day.
Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to
  your son David.'

Generosity was the rule on feast days, and David had not
set a price for the protection he and his men gave to the
people.  Therefore, it is written, [Give Whatever Comes
To Your Hand,] meaning he left it up to them to decide what
       his protection was worth.

" 9 So when David's young men came, they spoke to Nabal
according to all these words in the name of David, and waited.

10 Then Nabal answered David's servants, and said, "Who is David,
and who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays
who break away each one from his master.

Here Nabal "the fool", pretended not to know David.  He
added insult to injury by suggesting that David was just
       another run-away servant.

11 Shall I then take my bread and my water and my meat that I
have killed for my shearers, and give it to men when I do not know
  where they are from?"

Now Nabal lived in a region where water was a scarce
       commodity.  ( see Joshua 15:19 )

12 So David's young men turned on their heels and went back; and
they came and told him all these words.

13 Then David said to his men, "Every man gird on his sword." So

A TIME TO WEEP, AND A TIME TO LAUGH; A TIME TO

MOURN, AND A TIME TO DANCE.

( ECCLESIASTES 3:4 *NKJV )

Dear Kathleen,

Well you are in luck, for today is a time to laugh! So sit

back and enjoy the following message from one of our

Sister's In Christ. Soon you will be saying; THEN OUR

MOUTH WAS FILLED WITH LAUGHTER, AND OUR

TONGUE WITH SINGING. And just as Sarah said when

God told her she would have a child at her advanced age.

You will be saying; "GOD HAS MADE ME LAUGH, AND

ALL WHO HEAR WILL LAUGH WITH ME."

( PSALM 21:6 ) & ( GENESIS 21:6 )

Squirrels in Church!

A small town had only three Churches in it but they all

suffered with the same problem. You see, all three had a

serious problem with squirrels getting into the Church.

Now each Church, in its own fashion, had a meeting to

deal with the problem.

The first Church congregation decided that it was

predestined that the squirrels be in the Church, and that

they would just have to live with them.

The Second Church decided they should deal with the

squirrels lovingly . So they humanely trapped them and

released them in a park at the edge of town. However within

3 days, they had all returned and were all back in the church.

The Third Church came up with the best solution. They

voted the squirrels in as members. Now they only see them

at Christmas and Easter.

The moral of the story is: Don't be a squirrel, attend your

Church regularly! ( Just a bit of Saturday Humor Kathleen,

please forgive me. )

With My Love & Prayers,

your servant Allen
