A resident in Conroe, Texas made a grim discovery early Saturday morning - a bloodied dog had been secured in a garbage bag, tied to a fence, and left for dead along the road.
Thankfully, the passerby had noticed the bag moving and stopped to investigate.
According to Monday's Houston Chronicle, after finding the badly injured dog inside of the bag, Tami Augustyn, an independent rescuer in the area, was asked if she could help.
Augustyn rushed the blood-soaked dog, now known as "Buck," to an emergency veterinarian for care. There, veterinarians discovered that the dog had been shot in the face.
Shot pellets were lodged in Buck's face, shoulder, and in both of his eyes, and he will likely suffer permanent damage to his eyesight as a result.
Initially, the abused dog was suffering from low body temperature, likely a result of being help captive, with injuries, in the trash bag for hours.
According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, Buck is now stabilized, but not fully out of the woods.
For some reason, Buck seems to have problems with walking.
Fortunately, as word of Buck's sad story spreads, people have stepped up to donate fundsto ensure that he will receive all of the care necessary for his recovery.

Florence- 12 hours ago - godvine.com that's how I got my first dog, except it was chained to the front yard fence in a blizzard
in the middle of the night. In the a.m. about 4, my dad went outside to find this tiny,
poor little pup that almost froze to death.
The happy ending is that the little dog lived a great life with my family and was still alive when I got my first pup . She lived for over 25 years, a great message of hope.
Thanks June,and Merci Monika
