Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Yaras, who with his team has been doing a research on Allianoi for seven years, states:

Archeologists have been trying to correct a written historical mistake of 1970s. They don't have much time. Because the winds of the election blowing over the ruins has started to heighten the walls of the dam. Unless something is done and alternatives are considered, this health center built for water 1800 years ago will be destroyed by water. The ones who have seen it will feel lucky, that they have witnessed history... The ones who have lived this will remember in sorrow saying "didn't we announce it adequately to the responsibles?"
