Hello! My name is Amanda. I live in Bloomington, Illinois and I am the proud owner of a maltipoo puppy named Dixie. I started this group in hopes of having other dog luvers such as myself get together to help eachother help dogs.
Well, I'm a stayat home mom who doesn't seem to be home much. I homeschool my younges daughter and she is in 11 grade this year. I also have 2 older sons in college. I've been married to the same man for 39 years. He is the love of my life. We like animals, and probably have too many. Of course can you really every have too many? I make soap, candles, braid rugs, quilt, canning veggies, I consider my self a green witch and love all nature. I hope to get to know all of you.
Nice to meet you. Glad you could join us. I also look forward to getting to know you I've heard of light/white or dark/black whitches before but never a green one. I was a wiccan for about 13 yrs myself and I am now a Mormon. 25 yrs old, married 4 yrs, 1 child not in school yet, he is 2 yrs old. I'm getting ready to join th enational guard soon and go to college when my son goes to school.
I have an outdoor cat and a maltipoo dog inside. I want to buy a house with a nice yard and outside of the city so we can have an animal sancutary. We're looking now for the right place. Wish us luck
Hi, I am Suzanne. I live in Peoria, AZ (suburb of Phoenix) with my almost 16 year old son, my kitty (Cocita), my dog (Becca), and my newly acquired furbaby bunny (Daisy). I am single and in the process of looking for a new job so I have found some time to hang out on the internet. I love photography, writing, reading, acting, and hiking...along with my animal interests. Look forward to chatting with you all.

Hello Everyone- I'm new to care2 I signed up after getting stuck signing a billion petitions after a link to one from dogster- has anyone been to dogster? I'm from Delaware and I have 4 dogs- a 9yr old mix, a 4yr old bichon poodle mix, a 1 yr old husky/APBT mix and a 8month old APBT- I also have quite a few cats (foster failure) here is a link to dogster for pictures of my "babies" as I haven't been able to download any pictures yet: www.dogster.com/?302360
Great pitbull pictures on the other post Amanda- so sad- they tried to pass BSL here a few months ago thankfully it was a vote against it 11-2!
I hope this works ok. I am far better with animals than I am with computers. I have been married for almost 16 years now.I have 2 girls 6 &7. I have 3 dogs,3 cats,2 ferretts,1 guinea pig,2 rats,4 chickens and a rooster. and oh yeah a beta fish. All of my animals have come to me in one way or another as a stray or rescue (except the beta) Obviously I love animals. I have been working with local shelters for several years,I also do foster care for various ones(which I find to be very rewarding). I hope to some day start my own Sanctuary. Currently I am a groomer, which I hope will finance my sanctuary. I look forward to meeting you all!!!!!
hello all! my name is sharon, and i am helping with the fight to ban foie gras in this country!! foie gras is a delicacy that is produced in one of the most horrific ways we have seen. the physical torture done to these birds (at only a few weeks old) ends in coma, death, or severe mental brain damage.
foie gras is produced by enlargening the livers of ducks & geese to roughly 10 times the size of normal. they accomplish this by sticking a metal pipe down their throats and force feeding them way too much for the bird to handle. choking on food or their own vomit is very common.
I am so sorry i am never here anymore. I would like to thank all of you fo rjoining and sticking arround even tho i'm awall most of the time. I am currently in college and doing the mom thing too so I am usually never online. I have just 2 yrs and I'll be out of school and back on here more frequently like before.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween this month! Ya'll take care!
I'm Tami, growing up a very lonely child, my parents had their own business, I learned the unconditional love of a horse. He saw me through thick and thin, was my confident (he never worried and I got it off my chest), and my best friend. His name was Royal Flight. Dave and I were in agony over his death. Then, we were lucky enough to find a shetland sheepdog, Frisky. I love Dave dearly, but, there was tremendous comfort in Frisky. I suffered a bout of PTSD, (from my first marriage to an abusive, alchoholic, undercover cop) and he helped through the hard times when Dave was not home. I swear he knew the exact thing to do to help me through the panic. He lived a long happy life, and tried to stay living even after having terminal cancer. He always thought of me first, as did Flight, and his suffering second. After his death, we found a loving lap dog shetland sheepdog, Bandit, who only wanted to love and be loved. That help ease the pain over the loss of Frisky. 2 years ago, I found an abandoned 1 week old freezing kitten. Dave and I were delighted he survived. He had some injured an eye, and it did not open until he was 2 months old. Like my self, he has physical and mental scars. He has taught me the life is not about the pain and the past, there may be scars, the the future is much better, all you need to do is let go and live.
