Introductions August 23, 2005 8:48 AM

Hi I am Christina and I am 28 years old. I am here to support this wonderful group that Drew has established I know we could all use a prayer or two everyday. We also have to remember to give it all to the all mighty God himself (all our joys and all our troubles)! I am very blessed to be a friend of Drews! I believe that nothing happens by accident and if we would all just live by the will that God has for our lives~this world would be a better place! *The world behind me~The cross before me~NO LOOKING BACK!  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Glad to be here August 23, 2005 9:24 AM

Hello to All and so glad to be here. Thanks for the invite Drew, I hope this group grows as we all sure can use prayer. Myself, I believe without the power of prayer I would not be here today as I have almost lost my life a few times while dealing with AIDS. So I know first hand that prayer does work. Thanks again for the invite and hope to support many of you through prayer. Michael B.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Prayer is good for all August 23, 2005 9:33 AM

Through the 15 years I have been on our Church's Prayer Group, I have discovered that prayer works 2 ways - for the one being prayed for, and for the one praying as well. I receive such comfort and serenity from praying for others, that I think my health really has been a whole lot better than it would have, had I not been on the prayer group. I am all for talking with my God. By beginning piece of advice for all is this: Pray Every Day; during every thing you do, big or small. Serve God by helping others. Make God part of all that you do, as if He were bodily standing with you everywhere you go. I know people sometimes think I have lost it, when I forget that they don't feel God's presence so surely as I do, when I simply tell Him something while they are standing there. But He is that closeby to me, and I don't mind being thought of as eccentric or a bit off colour! My colour is that which God shines onto my head as I do everything during the day, and that, if off colour to others, is perfectly GOLDEN TO ME! So, God, take care of all my internet, Care2 buddies, and give them exactly what you KNOW they NEED! So Be It!  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Sure, Kathryn! By the way, do you know how I can make the other fonts available/  [ send green star]

Drew August 23, 2005 11:22 AM

Okay sweetie, had to try it out on my new group. Here's how to have the different fonts, etc.. Go to the homepage here and click onto Group Management Console underneath the group photo. Look at General Settings and click onto Discussion Forum Settings. It will take you to a window that will show various options. I clicked on all the "allow to's" and then I clicked onto the one that says "Replace special characters,etc..." Enter submit and that should help you there. If it doesn't let me know and I'll do what I can to help you.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

anonymous Hello Everyone! September 12, 2005 5:00 AM

Thank you for inviting me here Christina.  I see some faces I already know and some faces that are new to me.  I am currently working on finding God's will for me.  It should not be hard, many would think.  But I have a nasty habit of laying things at the feet of the Lord and when I am ready to go again, I want them back! LOL  I guess I figure I carried my burdens for so long that I feel a little ill at ease with out them! LOL

I can't wait to get to know you all!

Hey Ted,

How's the prasad at the program there at the campus? I'm back online now here in Chicago. Miami is the pits. I'll spare you the details but suffice it to say one would have to be the see no, hear no, smell no monkey in Miami because something is really rotten in Coconut Grove. They need all the prayers we can put together for 'em here at the Prayer Rangers. Miami does not have clear sailing ahead. The open sewer under the Deity kitchen window is symptomatic of much more profound problems that lie festering just beneath the surface there in paradise. The "Leaders" can't really look anyone in the eye. For starters it would help if they stopped lying to themselves and each other. They are due for some serious roasting. To my way of thinking Katrina was just a walk in the park compared to the series of rude awakenings that must lie in store for the Miami yatra. And you can quote me on this. Hare Krishna!

Peace Love Hugs...

Your Care2 guru,

Sarvopama dasa

anonymous Steps Ordered By the Lord September 30, 2005 11:17 AM

I was blessed to be ordered to this prayer "ministry" God always knows exactly what we need and when we need it, i am honored to be a part of this awesome connection, plesase pray for me, and i will be concious to pray for all of you, i believe it the matchless name of Jesus Christ, i believe He died for my sins, and that He is the Son of God, and that he has risen from the dead...i am a man not a perfect man, but pressing toward perfection, and i know with God all things are possible, i have been a believer for 20 years and i would have it no other way. thank you for allowing me to share a little about me, and i look forward to rejoicing with you all.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

PRAYER October 17, 2005 3:47 AM

To be able to pray is as dear gift of our Lord... Ask for and it shall be given to you - Beeing aware of this we should cultivate that gift to make it bear fruit what will us enable for more little by little. Thank you Mike for inviting me - may the lord bless you -  pray -  and all those here who form this community, may we all learn about the efficiency of prayer as the lord has given it to us. I wish you never to forget, that we should pray in truth and spirit, for GOD our Father is spirit... Whatever we pray for, the lord has already readied the answer as he knew we would come before him so se should be humble enough to hear and see his answer. And allow no doubt to sweep it away, as he is faithful and he is risen!

What a wonderful group! October 26, 2005 4:53 AM

I have always wanted to be a prayer warrior, it has been the desire of my heart to be a prayer warrior like the old women I grew up around, since I was a small girl.  I am currently listening to Joyce Meyers tape series called, "Is Your Mouth Saved?"  Because I believe that the more control I get over my words and thoughts, the more effective I can be in my praying.  It is nice to find a group of people who are as appreciative of prayer.   [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Dear Kathryn October 28, 2005 4:35 PM

many people dont have the true concept of the power of a humble prayer,

but we must have an unselfish spirit in this prayer,

let me tell you what happened to me

my ex wife got with a man that wanted me out of my childrens life, we had 3 girls 1 boy, I had my son, well I prayed for the girls and I prayed that God would soften the heart of my ex so I could see the girls,

for three and a half years I prayed to no avail, then one morning i got up and said Lord if you dont wont me to see the girls ever again thy will be done and I prayed for my ex anyway that God would bless her,

in two days after no communication in three and a half years I got a phone call from all the girls and from that time I  see them all the time many times a week,

you see I was praying selfishly I wanted the girls my will first and my prayer for my ex was selfish I wanted her heart softened so i could see the girls, but once I submitted everything to God in humility and gave up my girls and prayed unconditional love prayer for my ex answered in 2 days,

now I "let go and let God" in my life,

but humble and unselfish prayers are indeed answered

God reads the heart of man, the motive behind, what we say and do,

love and light to you and God bless you and your dear family, Mike

Mike raises a good point. Am I praying to God because I want to increase my pleasure and enjoyment in the world or because I want to please Him?  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

anonymous personally speaking November 06, 2005 2:12 PM

I am praying for Him to do His will in whatever my prayer is about...

And when praying I ask for what I may like to happen, but realistically I know it doesn't always work "my" way, so before my ending, I say according to YOUR will.

You see eventually we will recieve all we ever dreamed of, but on His terms, not ours or those of this world...

That is my belief...

BTW... MoM

Love and Blessings Joanne

Hi everyone

Thank you Joanne for the kind invitation.   I see one or two familiar faces here too.

Yes indeed, just as a child would expect with a request to his father, our prayers may be answered via a "yes"  "no" or "wait"  - sometimes they are answered soon....   sometimes in a little while....  other times not at all.....   but from experience Ive found that what can be viewed "as no answer" is only because there is something better, and which we dont know about until it happens.

Love - peace to all  xx

anonymous Greetings Everyone! August 16, 2007 8:53 AM

I am still praying and believing...

Sorry it has been so long since I was here.

I do hope we we all start to join together in prayer for everyone around the world. These are hard times for people around the world. People do not recover from one tradgedy before another one happens.

We should pray for everyone in good times or bad because we never know who will have the next tradgey.

I keep you in my heart and prayers...

Love Truly~Joanne
