It was sometime ago when I got the invitation to be part of this very special group. I don´t know why I did not join it immediately, probably I was not ready yet for that mission. But here am I now and thanks to YOU, a very special friend, an angel that came to my life had been brightening my life  with your presence.

I didn't get an invite, actually, I happened upon this site and found it to be a place I have been searching.  A place where God, a geater being, the creator, or whatever it is you feel that strong force in life is, can be openly discussed.  I hope you don't mind I peeked in the door and would like to sit on the couch and chat from time to time.

Thanks for the invitation. This is my 2nd try to join a "spiritual" group, left the 1st because I felt "missioned" - I feel a lot more at ease with the spirit here. I would call myself agnostic because I think all human efforts to domesticise the mysteries of space and life are inadequate or even blasphemic. But that doesn´t mean I disrespect the various religions.

Lets see if I fit in here.

First off, Angelika THANK YOU for this new group.  A place such as this is so needed! 

Personally, though raised within the Methodist tradition, I do not see myself as the least bit religious.  Rather, I consider myself deeply spiritual.  There seems to be too little talk of God these days in the religious gatherings with which I am familiar to meet my personal spiritual needs and too much talk of what one should or should not do, think or say.  But hey, that's just me!

All of this leads to the core of my beliefs; the simple principle that every religion or spiritual practice is a path to God and that God is like any city, there are many roads leading to it.

Angelika, I find this thought absolutely beautiful:

That is why I invented that group - I have been taken part in other Christian groups but they were always so strict...and I wanted a group where you can freely and openly discuss and exchange your thoughts and I hope this group will be a "refuge" for people like me and you!

I believe in God but no longer have faith in my churches around here. I feel that God and I have our own personal connection.

Sometimes the answer is no... and sometimes it is an emphatic "no way - forget about it!" 

We may feel frustrated by it on the spot...

but we have to believe that the Most High Knows BEST what is good for us... and what is not!

My dad is a lutheran pastor over here but he was always know as the "red pastor" - being too liberal and always being there for everyone - that is the way I was raised but I am far more liberal than he is...that is the time we live in - I believe in God and that there is that force out there - Jesus existed, that is for sure - a son of God - yes, but I am daughter of God as well....as we are all children of God...we are a community and believe in Him. And I cannot say that God is a person - God is some kind of force. Difficult to explain in a language which is not my mother tongue but I think you know what I mean. And I accept other religions , too, and ways of worshipping as I am into meditation a lot  as well...ah - could go on and on....

Giving you a warm welcome also, Countess - as I said before - this is a group where you can put all your thoughts about religion.

To me it is essential that we can discuss that topic openly - being free in speech and thoughts - that is what I missed in the other groups!

I am not part of any ‘organized’ religion anymore. I am not ‘religious’ either, I am a Christian. I was raised in the Christian Church and my faith is very strong in The Lord, but grows weaker, almost daily now, in this world and the people that teach/preach how we should live and believe. I just put my trust and life in His hands and know that He will provide what He knows I need, as He always has.

One of my favorite sayings is:

“God answers every prayer, just sometimes the answer is No”
