After nearly 2 years of marketing, Krystal Planet is pleased to announce the name & location of our first wind turbine project!
A 30-year contract was signed with Rolling Plains Cattle, an agribusiness firm expanding throughout the Midwest, to build a 1 megawatt wind energy project in Haskell County Kansas! This project will produce clean electricity from wind to power the feed mill, railcar grain station, offices, feedyard, and other facilities at the site. The amount of electricity this project is expected to produce over its 30-50 year life is equivalent to powering ~300-400 homes! Although large wind turbines are on a 2-year backorder from nearly every manufacturer, Pristine Power (KP's sister company that negotiated the project) is pushing hard to get the turbine installed this year. Stay tuned!
Krystal Planet will own ~20% of this project based on our contributions on behalf of FutureWind customers (see http://krystal-planet.com/legal.asp for more). Many KP dealers can (or already do) qualify to earn overrides on the revenues generated by this exciting project! This also creates long-term security for the company, over 30 years!
Thanks for all your help, and keep up the great work promoting FutureWind so we can build more wind turbines - at schools - based on contributions for this year!
