Film " Route 181" is one the most nicest documentary film.

This is Fragments of a Journey to Palestine-Israel, which is co-directed by the Palestinian Michel Khleifi and the Israeli Eyal Sivan.

 This virtual line follows the borders outlined in Resolution 181, which was adopted by the United Nations on November 29th 1947 to partition Palestine into two states.

 As they travel along this route, they meet women and men, Israeli and Palestinian, young and old, civilians and soldiers, filming them in their everyday lives.

This make you recognize how is the situation in there.

I had the great opportunity to meet several times Eyal Sivan who comes often to Lille. He is a great director and an interesting person.

I would also recommend "Izkor"  (= means "remember" in hebrew, very close to the arabic word). It's about the construction of Memory in Isreali the educational system.

His portray of the Philosopher Leibovich (I forgot the spelling) is also very informative. The last reference I saw was his movie about the former East Germany, the French title was "In the name of the People" I don't know the translation in other languages (it's a french production so it's the original title).

What is fascinating with Eyal Sivan is his ability to invite the watcher to think about what he is looking. He always question himself about the documentary. And for him a documentary is not more realistic than a "pure fiction". he is aware of the power of the director who constructs the documentary. But because there is this questionning, his movies are very true.

I don't know very much about Michel, I just know his movie about the Palestinian wedding.

Yes yes,Eyal Sivan and Michel Khleifi (Islaeli and Palestinian) are so great and intelligent people.

I'm so impressed by Route 181.They are really good at elict real intention and memories from all people.

It was interesting that when Islaeli people said justfy the occupation and drove Palestine people,their quastion lead to contradiction.

And many kinds of people's evidence prove us the places were result of tragic plunge against Palestinian...

But I was surprised to know despite of  there are such numeral people interviewed,all Islaeli people who settle in the place when Palestine people were shoot and expeled,don't feel bad....

Some people also say "I envy American,if only Palestinian is silent like Native American."

"The best Palestinian is killed to expel."....

I'm really respect both of producers of patient and intteligence.

Khleifi said "I made a point of memory of group."

"The most beautiful memory is memory which make better future.Forgetting the memory is only postpone problem."

"Even when I meet soldier who do turture,if I just listen,it  becomes intervew."

Such great attitude made this movie success and elict real intention and memories from all people and they proove the trueth of occupation in 1948.

Yes,i really want to see "IZKOR slaves of memory" produced by Sivan who is Jewish. 

This is about education system of  Islael and obedience of memory to nationalism.

How nation make memory obay and it will make defend what of deeds.

And this documentary "Route 181" is completely non propaganda at all.

This is abviously.

There is not any explanation of any frame of film by producers.

They just saw by camera and led interviewere's memory of Route 181 in 1948.

Even disguise of interviewere were made to hints and the hints prove true events in Route 181 in 1948.

It was so interesting.

Yes,theme of this movie is "group memory".This is thruough all in this long film.
