Hi folks, I'm Jonathan. I was sales rep for the Industrial Hemp Expos here in Santa Cruz and San Francisco Cali, and am dabbling with my own designz in hemp clothing. Anyone know of inexpensive fair trade sewing contractors? Rich sorry to hear about your recent run in with the law. The incorrect housemate can bring you down hard. Blessings.
Hi all. Fairly new to this group. Just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone here. I have been on care2 for about 5 months now. am still looking fo rnew friends here so anyone who's interested, just send a message!!
Names Margaret, but they call me Peggy. More (lots more) about me on my profile. Looking forward in reading and help spreading the word on the truth about cannabis.
Just got invited here today. While I usually decline almost all group invites (I'm in too many already), I decided to accept this one. While legalization isn't a high-priority cause to me (no pun intended), I do think that the war on drugs is a horrible failure, that the fact that possessing an ounce of crack or an ounce of weed result in the same excessive fines and sentences is ludicrous, and that our overburdened criminal justice system be better served by prosecuting real cases instead of non-violent, in-their-own-homes hemp users.
Hello. I think that hemp should be allowed for several reasons, not simply recreational. I don't use it as it gives me anxiety and makes me eat as if I haven't in my life!
BUT, I truly believe that we wouldn't be dependant on any foreign governments for our energy needs if this could be resolved.
I think it should obviously be legalized for personal recreational use as it isn't a threat to anyone as alcohol is & alcohol is legal! Go figure! I don't drinki alcohol either.
Hello everyone! Just wanted to say they have just changed the law up here in Oregon - allowing more plants. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
A place where we may discuss issues that sisters of every color, creed and culture can pull their strengths and wisdom together to rise above. Where women of strength share and lend a hand to those in need.
I am an advocate for the legalization cannabis for all purposes!

About the hemp paper crafts. The only way that I would be able to do them is if I was able to get my hands on enough fresh hemp to turn into pulp. Or I could recycle old documents written on hemp paper. But this won't happen until it's legal of course But making your own paper is fun no matter what you use. I'd LOVE to be able to use hemp though!
Thank you Eva for inviting me to this group. I have been a strong believer in legalizing marijuana for medical use and recreational use. The laws are unconstitutional and unfair.
[send green star]
Strongly for the decriminalization of marijuana country-wide. I believe that the new federal laws criminalizing use of medical marijuana that has been voted in by the states is ridiculous. What does the federal government hope to prove? Marijuana laws approving medical use can also be voted in by municipalities, as well. That very thing happened in San Marcos, Texas, in 1998. However, the problem there was that the users said that the medical marijuana was not sufficiently strong enough to curb extreme pain.
I am from a state that used to send people to prison for up to thirty years, just for possession of one joint of marijuana. As we all know that medical marijuana is effective in control of pain, for glaucoma sufferers, and settles nausea as a result of cancer radiation treatment, I stand bodly for its medical use. It would be very interesting to see just how many people have died from its use, as opposed to how many people have died from the use of alcohol and its side effects. I would venture to guess, not many, if any at all.
I believe anyone convicted of a marijuana charge that did not have to do with injuring or hurting someone should also be pardoned for the crime and the charge removed form their records. The recreational use of marijuana stays expensive because of its illegality, but I wonder if the large pharmaceutical companies would benefit from its legal medical use even more.
What we are experiencing now is very similar to what was experienced in the 1920's with Prohibition. These laws could be repealed, but a federal amendment would have to take effect first. Sometimes that's the best way to go about it; a federal law against criminalization. JUST A THOUGHT!!!!
I'm now part of the Pothead Singles Group, too, which brings together locals who partake for recreational purposes.
Hope we'll post stuff like places to shop for hemp, how to start a hemp business.
I want to send all my friends Hemp Christmas Cards or make them...Natalie, do you work w/hemp paper crafts? I'll buy 20! (If I make some $ by Xmas!!!!)
Bless y'all!
