Books: Classics 3 November 16, 2005 7:02 AM

Hello!

I am going through a box of books that I have not read. I do not have much space so I must give some away and decide what to keep.

Please let me know if you have read any of the following and if they are worth reading.

Thanks!
Heidi

Tess of the d'Urbervilles- Thomas Hardy

Intertidal Life- Audrey Thomas

Hugh MacLennan- Barometer Rising

All The Mowgli Stories- Rudyard Kipling

Another Country- James Baldwin

The Life of Galileo- Bertolt Brecht

Les Misérables- Victor Hugo

Steppenwolf- Hermann Hesse

Still going through boxes? February 07, 2006 12:57 PM

Tess of the d'Urbervilles- Thomas Hardy
All The Mowgli Stories- Rudyard Kipling
Les Misérables- Victor Hugo
Steppenwolf- Hermann Hesse

I like them all, but none of them is to me something I would be very sad to miss in my bookshelves.

I have a thing about Kipling, so I will keep the Jungle Books.

Yeah! I am still going through these. Sometimes I think I will just read them all, other days I feel that it is a waste of my time.

I am currently reading Lady Chatterley's Lovers. Quite the heavy duty social commentary!

Les Misérables- Victor Hugo June 27, 2006 11:14 AM

I think that is a must read because it is so different from the movie and the play.  [ send green star]

Thanks Galadriel! I saw the movie with my french class many years ago, I think I was in grade 6 or 7, and I sobbed like a baby! I really did ball my eyes out!  [ send green star]
