When I was a kid, during holidays, my dad & uncles would put each other down and talk up their own branch.
My aunt Dorthy's son, Richard, drove tanks in the Army. Richard was my sister's age.
My brother is an MP-canine unit in the Army. He served in Honduras & Panama during the "wars" there.
My father-in-law was a soldier in WWII in the 83rd. He landed in Normandy and walked to Germany getting wounded in the calf in Belgium along the way.
So this thread is to tell stories about the Army and put down the other branches if you like...all in fun.

Yeah, my uncle and father used to do the same thing. My dad was in the army-airforce and my uncle was in the navy. Yep, there was an army-airforce in WWII. My dad's uniform had wings and an army badge on it. I remember my dad calling my uncle a wimp and that the navy had it easy. I guess it must be a military thing. Good thing no one was in the marines.
