Beautiful meditation music February 24, 2006 9:38 PM
I have Vangelis' Blade Runner on my computer...a gift from my brother when he reformated my hard drive....it's absolutely the best! I love using it for meditations. It just helps you float away. Doris

I think of all the Vangelis stuff I've heard that rocks my mystical world, it comes down to these works:
"Heaven & Hell", featuring YES-man Jon Anderson...not only did this album feature such a beautiful voice as Jon's, but sent me completely swirling into Vangelis' later collaborations with Anderson, then on full-blast into YES' music.
"Chariots of Fire"...I love listening to this one while reading anything by Madeleine L'Engle...
"Mythodea", music written in honor of the Mars mission...powerful stuff, as always!
"Portraits (So Long Ago, So Clear)", my favorite of the compilations out there because it features four of the big songs Vangelis did with J. Anderson, and I love every one of them, of course.
"1492: Conquest of Paradise." I never really got to see the movie, but I ADORE the music...
To put it simply, I was raised on Vangelis, and I have always been forever grateful for the beauty of his celestial sounds...
