Alternative Transportation

I prefer to walk whenever I can, but safety and convience for pedestrians is lacking. As a pedestrian I am often harassed by the police and people driving cars. What can be done? I have been fighting for pedestrian rights for years and very little has been done by our officials or transportation planners.
