It amazes me that there are billions of dollars floating around for alternative energy projects and no one in this group says a word. California is considering building to high speed train system: one north and south thru the state and another from some where near LA to LAs Vegas. The las Vegas train would either terminate in San Bernardio or Palmdale somewhere that does not connect to anything resembling a follow thru system such as Metro Link and the one proposed for Victorville would just sprout up out ofno where, head to Vegas and come back to a dead end stop. The closest connection is the freeway and 40 miles to the nearest Metro Link station. Out of 37 million people in California and 3900 million in the country, someone sghould take note ofthese developmentsand see that they will be models for the future and how transprotation is hndled. My writing to the local paper and the transporation officials alone is not cutting it.

This could help a lot to curb California's greenhouse gas emissions. Please let us know of any Web sites you have handy where California members can "get up to speed" on this. Thanks.
