3 Greenville men indicted for choking, beating puppy to death
1 year ago

April 14, 2013

Three Pitt County men have been indicted by a grand jury on cruelty to animals. That's after they, allegedly, choked and beat a puppy to death.

Pitt County deputies arrested Demetrius Crumble, Evan Harrington and Kendrick Fitchett saying the three men choked a 4-month-old Pit Bull puppy with phone cords, took turns beating the puppy with a PVC pipe and then threw her in a ditch.

But because of the nature of the crime, deputies ended up charging all three of the men with felony cruelty to animals and failure to dispose of the dog.

The men are scheduled for another court date in May.

All three men are in the Pitt County Detention center. Demetrius is under a $60,000 secured bond and the other two are under a $35,000 secured bond.

PETITION: Ensure Felony Charges for Men Accused of Beating Puppy to Death
1 year ago
| Hot!

Target: Pitt County, North Carolina District Attorney’s Office

Goal: Ensure the felony charges against the men accused of beating a puppy to death are upheld.

In mid-February, three men were caught torturing and killing a puppy in Greenville, North Carolina by their neighbor. The three men, Demetrius Crumble, Evan Harrington and Kendrick Fitchett were arrested and charged with felony cruelty to an animal and failure to dispose of the dog. The torture these men inflicted on this innocent puppy is undeniably worthy of felony punishments.
