Rhea, we have had several questions regarding if funds for Legion could come to Longmont... because they recognize the Humane Society as tax deductible and are sure that you are a "real" organization. Is there a way that funds for Legion could be held separate for him to transfer? What would people need to do in the case that there was? Send donations where, how, and how marked? thanks, t
She is not sure how this would be done, as she manages the behavioral unit, but she will talk with her supervisor and get back to me about it.

and as usual, more complicated than it should be. working with Rhea to figure it out. basically, they can, and there is a way to mark the funds for Legion, BUT...before they would go to transfer costs, they would go to cost of his training, food, shelter, etc. so.... we wouldn't make much headway on the transfer costs.... BUT...again.... Rhea talking to supervisor regarding if shelter etc cost are paid for him, then could Longmont pony up some for the transfer.... and could Longmont take pledges for payment after the transfer to repay themselves if they did pony up.... so of course... this isn't settled enough to take to the public yet.
