I notice many homeless people hang out in the library downtown.  The library doesn't really serve their needs, although they seem to be kind.

Perhaps we need a center for the homeless where they can get the services they need.  Health care, education, drug treatment, vocational help, job search help, and social workers all in one place.

Unfortunately, the homeless don't vote, so the county would rather spend $40 million on a sports facility in New Tampa.  We need to turn that around.

Clearwater has a central place like that. It's called the C.H.I.P Center. It's at 1339 Park Street.  You can eat, shower, wash clothes for free, and they've got a bunch of other programs as well.  Today they had a free Public Defender there answering questions, and they regularly have a VA rep available.
