Uno! Riiiigggghhhtt! I didn't save anything to my harddrive... in case you missed it all the times I said it before... I don't have the room.... YET! I put the post in my word program then copied and pasted.
The branch of philosophy that defines what is good for the individual and for society and establishes the nature of obligations, or duties, that people owe themselves and one another.
The word ethics is derived from the Greek word ethos, which means "character," and from the Latin word mores, which means "customs." In modern society, it defines how individuals, business professionals, and corporations choose to interact with one another.
Aristotle was one of the first great philosophers to study the subject. To him, ethics was more than a moral, religious, or legal concept. He believed that the most important element in ethical behavior is knowledge that actions are accomplished for the betterment of the common good. He asked whether actions performed by an individual or group are good both for that individual or a group and for society. To determine what is ethically good for the individual and for society, Aristotle said, it is necessary to possess three virtues of practical wisdom: temperance, courage, and justice. Progressivism is a political philosophy whose adherents promote public policies that they believe would lead to positive social change. As a broad characterization of political leanings, political progressivism mostly refers to social liberalism, social democracy, or green politics. Progressivism may also mean preferring moderate change, as opposed to minimal or maximum change. In this sense, it is contrasted with reactionary, conservative, as well as radical ideology. Progressive logic is the value logic that gives an underlying unity to this diversity of views. And I thought I was here to help the rest of you guys
So - you put the "b" in subtle?
I think I added you to my friends list (if you approve). If not, go be ethical and progessive someplace else.
Oooh, was that too mean?
Nah.

I'm here, too. I see a lot of interesting topics here., and real friends!
I'm not supposed to be using the computer for personal reasons for another 10 minutes, so........shhhhhh!!
Can we 'please and thank you' make this a Welcome thread and red pin it? It would make it easier for people to have a designated place to jump in. I've been here less than 3 minutes and already beginning to make suggestions. What chutzpa!
Oh, where are my manners? Thanks for inviting me, FD. I've lost 10 off my 'friends list beause I disobeyed a direct order, (joined a certain group) and dropped from several groups for the same reason. I was beginning to develop a complex.
I do have one good quality. My nose doesn't grow everytime I make a statement.
Am I crossing a line, here? If I am I will cease and desist......sorta.
I don't believe that she did. You can close your profile and it is indistuinguishable from when the admin closes it. I don't see any reason why they would have banned her, unless she was up to something we didn't know about.
