I'M SORRY - I CAN'T MAKE THE PRINT ANY LARGER ON THIS COMPUTER An email I received from the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness: I want to invite you to be part of the 23rd Annual Hunger Cleanup, our biggest community service event of the year. Every spring, thousands of students around the country will join in efforts to alleviate and end hunger and homelessness by participating in the Hunger Cleanup, which works to fight poverty through service and fundraising. On the day of the Cleanup, we'll complete service projects around the community. Leading up to that day, all of us will also raise money for anti-poverty programs. The Hunger Cleanup is a national event, so you and your friends will be joined by colleges around the country - nationwide, we've set a goal of raising $100,000 and completing 30,000 hours of community service. Register your campus and volunteer to help organize the Hunger Cleanup in your community. It's easy to do and together we can make a HUGE impact! Go to http://www.hungercleanup.org to register to take part in the 23rd Annual Hunger Cleanup! The money raised by the Hunger Cleanup will support four projects: You and your friends can choose one local non-profit that focuses on fighting hunger and homelessness in a way that makes the most sense given the needs of your community. On the national level, the money we raise will allow the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness to run on-campus training sessions and create informational and organizing materials. Additionally, the money will support the Campaign's existing programs and provide the resources needed to develop new initiatives. Internationally, we'll be splitting our funds between two great causes: providing fresh water and medicines for refugees from the genocide in Darfur and funding the Girl Child Network's work to provide legal and social support for girls in Zimbabwe facing physical and sexual abuse. With the 23rd Annual Hunger Cleanup you can have a big impact on fighting poverty! To learn more or to register for the event go to http://www.hungercleanup.org. Sincerely, Stacey Hafner Director National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness http://www.studentsagainsthunger.org PS: Thanks for your support. Send this on to your friends and ask them to get involved too!
