Hi, Merry Christmas/Happy Epiphany, and Happy New Year

To start of the new year, I’ll start with an easy topic: Vestments.

These questions are probably somewhere about if I look hard enough, but…

Here are some of the questions I have:

1. Why do priest wear vestments?

2. Why do they need to be of different colours?

3. Why are their different signs on their vestments, and what do they mean?

4. Why aren’t they (the signs on the vestments) the same throughout the world when we worship the same God?  I noticed different priests wear vestments of different design/embroidery. Why?

5. When did vestments come about in the Church’s history?
