Kaya.........Honestly, I don't see the resemblence. He has a furrowed brow and Justice has a smooth one. He has a more prominent or sharp defined nose, Justice is wider. He has a more narrow mouth, Justice has a pretty mouth and beautifully shaped lips. His cheeks are straight and Justice shows prominent cheekbones. All in all, Justice is much better looking and he can't hold a candlestick to her. As for the hair, we can't tell about Justice. She hasn't exposed very much of herself to us.
Now, about bondage.......I'm not familiar with the song, Shackles, or with the group Mary Mary, but I am ever so familiar with bondage. Praise God that when we are born again spiritually into the family of Jehovah God, we are set free from all bondage of sin and those that were under the bondage of the Law were set free from that bondage also. We are no longer a slave to those old sinful habits. God can and will change the desires of our hearts to put away all of our bad habits and make us clean and whole like He wants us to be. It is great that you saw that by just looking at a picture of a man in chains....or cuffs. Keep that noggin in gear, it's working good for you.
This post was modified from its original form on 31 Jan, 16:19
This is Peter Tosh.I had the thought seeing the hand cuffs on him,of the song"SHACKLES",from the group Mary Mary, about how ALMIGHTY make us free from bondage of all kinds.(B.T.W.,I think, except for the nose,he looks like Justice, except her dredlocks are longer.Doesn't he look like her...a little side thought.LOL.)
Justice, what a sweet thing for you to say about us, I hope you realize that you are important to us as well. We don't hear from you as often we we used to. Hope that your about over the stage of morning sickness and starting to feel good again. We enjoy hearing from you every day that you are able to make it into group. Have a blessed day.
ALL OF YOU HERE MATTER TO ME.....MORE THAN YOU KNOW.THANK YOU,MICHAEL,JEANETTE,CAROL,KAYA,HOLLY,EVERY ONE ELSE.
We are warming up a little this morning. Glade to see that.
I will let you know Jeanette on the name and updates.
I love all your graphics everyone.
Its hard to believe January is gone. Time fly's by.
God bless you all.
It's going to be a beautiful day even if it is starting out with partly cloudy skies and the sun playing peek-a-boo with us. Now you see it, now you don't. High today to be 69, pushing for 70, and tonights low 54. I can handle that just fine. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon so I'll be gone probably till sundown. With all of the cancellations they have had this week due to the weather, there's no telling how late those people will work tonight. If it gets to be too long, I'll just have to leave, my oxygen tank only holds enough for 3 hours and I have to leave in time to get back home to my big machine. That usually gets me in and out fairly quick as compared to regular time it takes. I always dread having to go down there.
Can you believe this is the last day of the month? January already gone. I may get the billboard changed out before I have to leave, if not, I'll work on everything after I get back home.
Holly.......I love your cheerful outlook on whatever comes your way. Wish I could share our heatwave with you. You would really love ours. This little warm-up spell should last through Tuesday, we are expecting thunderstorms then and I guess another cool-down. We are also forcast to have 70% chance of rain for Super Bowl Sunday. Since we will be glued to the TV inside anyway, let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.
May the Lord bless our group, bless each of our members, bring them back into fellowship with us soon, and keep all of us safe in His loving care.
andto all of you.I am happy about our "heat wave" yesterday....lol....We went from 4 degreesin the morning to 31 in the afternoon. What a contrast.I will be so happy when spring is here.Well,I am off to work, and to take my kids downtown sothey can go to work later.Have a good day.
Between 9 and 10 am this morning we finally rose up out of the freezing temperatures and the blue sky and sunshine are wall to wall. The ice is melted on all the cars, the streets are now passable within the city but there are still patches of sleet hanging around......like in the hollows of the branches in our big oak tree in the front yard and under some of the shrubs. High today in the 50's, tonights low in the 40's. Yipppeee, hang in there every one, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Holly.......I love your graphic, it shows exactly how it should be and how it is going to be in the kingdom of God. One soul is as precious as another to him, the color of the house it lives in doesn't matter. As far as He is concerned, we are either believers or non-believers. I'm glad that you liked the breakfast plate with eggs and bacon. Nobody mentioned my mistake that I made. I said that our Lord Jesus Christ got involved in our salvation, but the truth is that He made the greatest commitment that could possibly be made to become a sacrifice to pay for our filthy sins. Even so, I'm glad you liked it.
May the Lord continue to provide for the needs of His children and keep us all safe from harm.
Jeanette,I like that graphic teaching and the creative way that you presented it.Kind of like the parables that Yeshua used to teach with. The Scripture that I put in the other thread was inspired by a conversation that I had last night with a friend from the group. As you can see from my family photos,my family consists of the lightest shade to the darkest, just like God's family.I feel that has been an asset to me,as I can see the point of view of all,and we really are not so different if you understand one another. We all have a place and a purpose, and I am so happy I was able to learn this important lesson from my own family, whom I wish and hope with all my heart will be in Heaven as well.Thank you al for being family to me as well.Love and hugs to you today.
Little Carson Owens is announcing that the new baby they are expecting is a brother. Congratulations to all of the Owens family. This is an exciting and happy time for all of you. Michael, let us know when a name is decided on for this grand child.
Good Morning Everyone. Hope you all slept warm and comfortable through the night. Don't know if we made it to the predicted 19 degrees or not, it was 24 when we got up this morning. Todays high hopefully will reach 41 and melt all of this off the roads, cars and houses. Once again it was just freezing rain and sleet, no snow for us. Praying it not only melts it all, but drys the roads too. Tonights low calls for 26 and we don't need to refreeze what is already there. After tonight we will be all clear and smooth sailing again with temps tomorrow in the upper 50's, upper 60's on Friday and 70's over the weekend.......of course with the 70's also comes the rain but it won't be so bad. It will be a good day to stay indoors and watch the Super Bowl.
Nobody wanted to comment on my breakfast plate graphic yesterday. It strongly reminded me of our group. This room is full of chickens. If you have eggs on your plate, it is because the chickens got involved when they supplied the eggs. But that pig, bless his little heart, he did more than get involved. He made a committment. He gave his all to put nourishment and protein and all that wonderful flavor on your plate. Our Lord Jesus Christ got involved with our Salvation, He gave His all that we might be set free from the bondage of sin. It seems that all of us are involved, some more than others, by our hunger for the word and spiritual nourishment that we find by sharing and studying the word of God together. Each day that passes puts us one day closer to the coming of the Lord to call us out of this world and meet Him in the air. It's time to start tying up all those loose ends and be prepared to go when that trumpet sounds.
Nance........Florika........Linda.......Carol........Gerry........Johnny........ and all others that may pass through here today, we miss hearing from you. Hope that you are all safe and well.
May the Lord keep us all safe and guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds.
Hard to believe the weather in the south. We only got about 5 in. and down to 0+ we suppose to be around 49 by Saturday. Sings of the times. Thank you all for the beautiful graphs. God bless everyone.
Those eggs look delicious,Jeanette.Put on some coffee and peel some mangoes and we got breakfast!I just want to say hi and give everyone a good laugh this morning.Have a great day.
Hope all of you are hungry, I made a good Christian breakfast for everyone. Now, ask yourself this question, "Am I the pig or the chicken?" I do want to hear your answers. It took both of them to put this dish before you.
We woke up to 29 degrees and it will be our high for the day. Things will start to go down hill from there later on this afternoon and drop to 19 tonight. Our govenor has issued a State of Emergency for the whole state. Snow is expected from the northern border to about halfway down the state, then turning to sleet and freezing rain for all the rest of us here in the south. Last night they announced all schools closed for the next 2 days and at least for today all State offices will be closed. They are preparing to close all highways again, hope the truckers make it through the state before that happens or at least they stop and wait it out in a truck stop where they can save on fuel and have hot meals to eat. This storm, Leon, is supposed to be worse than the last one. By the weekend we are expecting temperatures to be back into the 70's. In the span of 4 days we will go from frostbite to sunburn. LOL.
Hope all of you noticed that we have another new member. Her name is Gabra Davis and she is in New York. Please help me to make her feel welcome to the group.
Need to go put on some stew meat and get a pot of soup started for this afternoon to warm our ancient old bones. That should keep us going till tomorrow. We should get up into the lower 40's tomorrow and melt all of this mess away. Hope all of you have a blessed day.
May the Lord keep us all safe and warm and continue to provide for our individual needs.
I just wanted to tell everyone hello and good morning before heading out the door this morning. It is going to drop in temperature outside, again, not really happy about it.Hugs to you all,and praises to ALMIGHTY.Stay warm and safe.
hi .thanks for your invite, alexis.i don't have a religion, but this group looks interesting.
Would anybody like to take a guess what this is a picture of?
We awoke to 59 degrees here this morning and light rain and fog. That will also be our high today and tonights low down to 26. Another blast of winter is going to move in on us today. In Minnesota where my step-daughter is, it is -35 degrees. That is too cold for any of us to have to cope with. This is going to hit all of us, I'm afraid. Even N.C. and S.C. all the way to the beaches might see 1 foot of snow.
Our Family Photo Album is growing as more members are adding their families for us to see. Please go and take a look and if you have not shared your family with us yet, please consider doing so. We are not asking for your whole family tree, just those that we hear you speak of and are asked to pray for. It's nice to see the faces that go along with the names.
Now, have you given up on the photo posted above? Some brilliant people poured melted aluminium into an ant hill and after it had set, dug it up and cleaned it. This is the under-ground city of thousands of little workers that worked so hard to construct all those little tunnels and intersecting byways from the surface of the earth to their queen. I found this to be very interesting, hope you did also. At least now you know how deep the mounds go that you are trying to kill in your yards.
May the Lord keep us all safe and warm in this coming Artic blast of winter and provide for the needs of all His children.
I am happy this morning...ZIGGY MARLEY won a grammy!!!!!Not that babylonian recognition is important, but at least Reggae artists are getting the rcognition they deserve, most music today is techno-crap,with no Spiritual significance and no real talent needed to create it.Glad to see real talent be recognized and not just a popularity contest. Back to work, love you all, wish you a safe and happy week,LOVE AND PRAISE TO YAHWEH!!!!!
A taste of spring for you.....I hope that you all have a great week. Please be careful of the ice......I fall all the time,I am so clumsy that I fall without provocation....it is even worse when you put ice into the equation.I hope it is a good week for all.Hugs to you,ALMIGHTY be praised.
Our low here this morning was 38 (above freezing) and we are headed to a mid 60 afternoon. All of our ice and sleet is gone and we are dry once again. Thank you Lord.
Michael.......you be careful with all of that slippery ground waiting to challenge you with the pull of gravity. I'm so glad you didn't fall and break something. We both share the strong desire to see this winter come to an end. There are still about 50 more days until Spring. One week from today is Groundhog Day. I hope somebody shoots him before next Sunday rolls around. He lied to us last year so I don't trust him anyway. LOL. I'm sorry to hear that you and yours are feeling under the weather. I hope it's just a cold and not the terrible flu. I will pray for all of you to feel healthy and normal again.
Finally chapter 25 is now a reality. The first section is the parable of the 10 virgins. I hope you are enjoying this study as much as I am. As many times as I've read it before, the Holy Spirit is still enlightening me on new things to learn from this repeated reading and study. There are only 3 more chapters to go and this book will be finished. Hope all of you are thinking what you would like to read and study next. I'm always open for suggestions. If you have a preference, please let me know by the time we finish this one.
May the Lord bless each of us and bring us comfort according to our own needs. May he continue to keep us all warm and safe and guide us in all of our ways.

Jeanette be careful I almost fell last night on the ice. We have ice under the snow. Its melting good right now. Winter has set in at the end of January.
I been a little sick and my wife coughing. Thats what I hate about winter everyone stays sick.
I love everyone's beautiful graphs.
God bless everyone.
Good morning Everyone........We have finally made it above freezing in the past 2 hours and the melt-down is now in progress. The ice is dripping off the eaves of the roof-tops and the street is showing a few dry spots scattered up and down the road. We are due to stay above freezing now until next Tuesday when another system will visit us again. Today's high will be in the upper 50's and tomorrow in the low to mid 60's.
Holly.......thanks for reposting your photos, I have deleted them from this thread so that they will not be misplaced. I'm wondering the same question you are this morning, Where is everyone? With all the nasty weather and people staying indoors, you might think they would find a few minutes to come in for a visit. Linda doesn't have a computer, she has to go to the library to use theirs, so I understand why she isn't here more often during the winter months. I'm just hoping and praying that those missing here are not so because of power outage.
Today I will make an extra effort to start on Chapter 25 of the Book of Matthew. I spent most of yesterday afternoon making the photo album graphic to start the new thread with. I'm getting slower than a Christmas turkey in a cold oven but eventially I do get a project finished. Most of them anyway.
May the Lord watch over us and bless us with a safe weekend as we go about our tasks preparing for the start of a new week ahead. May He comfort those in need and guide us in all our ways.
Good morning, everyone. You have a beautiful family,Jeanette.Where is everyone?I hope that everyone is safe and warm, and all is well with you all. Thanks for your prayers, and I will pray for you too.Have a great weekend.
Everybody please take notice of a new thread that I just started this afternoon. For those that are not too shy or bashful to share with the rest of our group members, here is a place where we can post photos of our loved ones and see the faces of the ones you brag or fuss about and the ones that we pray for and rejoice with.
Holly inspired this thread by posting photos of her family in the CHAT thread, but she didn't tell us who they were. Please, Holly, repost your photos on the new thread and list their names and relation.......siblings, cousins, in-laws or whatever they are to you. After you repost them here, I'll delete them from the other thread. This way they won't be lost when we change the threads from month to month.
I started out with my small family and then posted a few of Michael's grandson. Hope that everyone will add to the album and enjoy sharing with the rest of us.
This is outside our front door........it's not very deep (or thick) but it's solid ice. There is still a fine misty substance falling and freezing upon contact with the ground. I'm still straining my neck to watch for snowflakes, so far all the white you see is sleet and freezing rain. News said there were a few flurries in the beginning during the night but they sure didn't catch my attention. If we must endure this type of weather, I want SNOW.........!
Oh what a mess we have........you would not believe it. The winter storm warnings have now been extended till sometime tomorrow. We have 1/2 inch of ice everywhere and you would think it was a foot and a half. Didn't I tell you these Cajuns can't drive in this weather? Our noon time news cast has reported that just here locally, our city police and the state police have responded to OVER 100 vehicle accidents before the 12 o'clock hour. All roads are closed coming into and out of Lafayette......I10 is closed to Baton Rouge, the 19 mile bridge over the swamp is iced over, I 10 is closed all the way through Baton Rouge.......I49 is closed going north, US90 is closed going South. There are a few cars venturing out on the city streets and a handful of businesses are open but not many. It is afternoon and our temp is still 27 degrees. It won't make it to our predicted 38 for a high today. By Saturday we are supposed to reach the low 60's, so this won't last very long. I really feel sorry for all the truckers that are stranded and pulled over to the side of the road when they finally decided to closed the interstates. Hopefully they have enough fuel to keep warm and get them to the next fuel stop. I10 is lined with 18 wheelers.
Holly......thanks for sharing photos of your family. You have given me an idea that I can work on for the next couple of days and see if it developes into something useful. You have a fine looking family too.
Justice........Hope you get to feeling better so you can stay at work and not be docked in your pay.
May the Lord bless thos in need and keep us all safe and warm in His merciful and loving care.
Hello, and good morning.I am hoping to not get sent home from work for dizzyness today, lol.I just wanted to say hi to you all first.holly, you have a large, and diverse, family.I always pray for your family,I pray for all the families of members here.I hope you all are keeping warm.Love you all,ALMIGHTY be praised for ever.
If you wonder who all of these people are, they are my family.Just thought that I would give you some faces instead of just names.I have no pics of parents, but please remember them too.Thanks.I return the favor by praying for you.
That is good, Holly. Remember Matthew, Chapter 6:
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Sounds like a heat wave to me,Jeanette!!!! Thought I would share a quote from the late, great Bob Marley when he was asked about his wealth in an interview.
"Posession make ya rich? I no have that type of richness. My richness is life, forever."

From upper 30's to mid 50's again today but tonight is a different story. About 9pm we are supposed to get a REAL taste of winter in the South. We are expecting lows in the upper 20's with freezing rain and sleet. This type of weather is so rare for us that they have already closed schools and some businesses for tomorrow. These Cajuns have never had a chance to learn how to drive on roads like they do further north. It is funny for the moment as they read off all the closures while the sun shines brightly outside. We are also supposed to have increased winds up to 20 to 30 mph. Sure am glad I don't have to get out and go anywhere in it.
May the Lord continue to bless us all and keep us safe and warm in His merciful and loving care.
Snow and more snow and cold. We only have about 5 in. so far. The boys haven't went to school but Monday this week so far. We haven't had a bad winter. January is almost over and February we hope isn't to bad. I have garden fever already.
We thank everyone for their beautiful graphs and posts.
God bless everyone.
Hello, and good morning,my precious friends. It is in the negative numbers when I leave for work....yikes!!!!!! Keep warm, wherever you are.Hugs, enjoy the rest of your week.
At 31 degrees, blue sky and sunshine, our activities are limited to indoors only today. This old lady isn't even thinking about what lies beyond the door. Our high might reach mid to upper 50's but that's not a promise. I'm just so thankful that we don't get as cold as the extreme northern states. That would be difficult to cope with.
In the next couple of days I'll try to get chapter 25 started for our bible study. Hope all of you have had a chance to finish reading chapter 24.
May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds, and continue to keep us safe from all harm.
Blue sky and sunshine but certainly not very warm. Today's high in the low to mid 50's and 28 for a low. Yesterday was wonderful but I don't see any more days like that in the immediate future.......not in the next week anyway.
This new winter storm, Janus, is supposed to be another major storm. You girls in N.Y. prepare to receive anywhere from 5 to 12 inches of new snow, depending on your location. Janus is not going to be very nice.
May the Lord keep us all safe and warm and continue to comfort those in need.
Hi.I hope that the up coming week is a good one for all of you,and ALMIGHTY helps you with difficulties.GOD is Love.
We are under partly cloudy and periods of bright sunshine this morning and working our way from the 40's to 72 for this afternoon. Our extended forcast is now saying by Friday morning we will be down to 28. It changes by the day and isn't getting any better. I'm just thrilled that today is managing to sneak in there so we have something to enjoy in all of this extreme cold.
Michael........beware, there is another round of snow headed in your direction.
Holly and Justice......you might also be in the path of some new snow flakes. The weather channel made is sound like it would be just a small interruption and not a great accumulation.
For the rest of you, maybe we should all pack up and move to Texas. Gerry probably has the warmest weather over all of us.
May the Lord keep us all warm and safe and continue to comfort those in need. Wishing a blessed week for all.
This post was modified from its original form on 20 Jan, 9:49
This mornings low was 46 and our high today should be 63; our low tomorrow morning expected to be 39 with a high of 72. Go figure. Colder tonight, much warmer tomorrow. All next week is supposed to be crazy mixed up numbers like this but highs only in the 60's. Only one wonderful day of 70s.
Michael.......I had no idea you were so good with your hands and woodwork. You did an excellent job with the cabinets, they look as professional as any you can buy. That is the best skill a man could have......if carpentry was good enough for our Lord, then, my friend, you are in fine company. My sweet hubby doesn't even know how to hold a paint brush. It's a good thing my Poppa taught me to do a few things around a house or nothing would ever get accomplished. As my health continues to deteriorate we find ourselves hiring work done more and more. I just can't do like I used to and I could never do what you have done. Poppa did teach me how to hang sheetrock though and to wire flood lights on the house, and I can scrape old paint, sand, caulk and paint. Well, I could in my younger day. Still have the know-how, just not the can-do. I can remember daddy sending me out to the garage with a board and sack of nails and hammer. He told me to practice driving nails until I could do it without bending them. I was a constant jabber mouth as a kid and looking back now, that was probably just a way that he and momma could have an uninterrupted conversation. LOL.
Carol.......I am a firm believer that God keeps "nearly" all of His promises. All of the promises He made to Israel, to Abraham, to Sarah........He kept them. When the time is right He will also give the Land of Israel back to the Jews also. However, there are some promises that we have adopted as our own for the Church which I don't think are really and truly meant for us. This is why sometimes I feel like I have been let down or passed over when a certain prayer is not answered as I prayed for it to be. For God to answer our prayers in a positive manner, they must first be in harmony with His perfect will and never go against His character. Hope all is going well with you and your mother and that the winter is not too hard on either of you. I know Nebraska can get some pretty nasty stuff from those Artic blasts also.
May the Lord bless each of us as we remember Him on this day of worship and keep us all safe in His loving and protective care.
Jeanette, Carson had to help me cooking. lol
Elizabeth and I built the kitchen cabinets in the picture you seen. We ended up spending 300.00 for all the wood. One cabinet would have cost about 200.00 I could never afford to have bought them all. We hope to finish the rest of it this month. I am going to do the sink in these shelving boards. Thats is what I used. They are the cheapest way. I like doing a little wood working for one of my hobbies. I will get the green house cleaned out next few warm days.
God bless you all.
Don't let the fear of thorns keep you from the rose.....
Blue sky and sunshine as far as the eye can see dominate the south this morning. It was 34 when we woke up and working it's way to a high of 60 for this afternoon. Then we are told that Monday's high will be 72. This is very similiar to last years yo-yo type weather but on the down stroke it is getting much colder than before. I'll try to send some of this warmth your way, Michael. Then you can work out in the greenhouse.
Not many visitors to group this morning, everyone must be busy running errands and putting things back in order from all the holidays.
May everyone have a blessed weekend and continue to enjoy the blessings of the Lord. May He keep watch over us and protect us from any and all harm.
Here we are at the end of another work week, the T.G.I.F. day. I know those of you who are working are very glad that "it's Friday" and every day we should be thankful that we "are Forgiven." Down here in Cajun country, you may sometimes find T.G.I.F. on the back of kids sneakers. For them it means Toes Go In First.
Cool, blue sky and sunshine to start the day down South. Hope it's as pretty where you are.
Michael........I loved your picture of you and your little kitchen helper. I'll bet he would love to help you in the greenhouse too. Who would get the job of cleaning him up from playing in all that dirt? LOL. Maybe Luc would be better help for that job. Two weeks from today will be the last day of the month. Then we will only be 2 days away from that silly groundhog prediction. Hope he gets it right this year.......last year he missed it more than a country mile.
Holly........you must have liked that cow and snowman. That heifer has the hair-dryer ready to start melting ole Frosty down. That would be one way to find the grass. LOL. Hope you don't have to resort to that in N.Y.
Scott and family made it in about noontime yesterday. They went with Ray to the TV station for the better part of the afternoon while they recorded a local interview of Ray to use later this month, and also watched while a station in Hollywood, California did a remote interview with him to use for one of their promotions. So far, Ray is the only one that has seen them. Teresa and I missed out on visiting with them so far. They are coming over later today to spend a little time with us and get their Christmas gifts that we had for them. They are very few this year, hope they feel the trip was worth it. When we learned that they would be spending all the holidays with "her" family, we just lost heart and stopped shopping for them altogether. Always in the past, they would spend one thanksgiving with her folks and the next year with us. Then for Christmas, they were always with us on Christmas Eve and her folks all Christmas Day. In 2013 we got left out of both of them completely. Guess I need not tell you my feelings got badly bruised over this. Today is also Suzanne's birthday. We are having a cake for her to acknowledge her Special Day. They do not know we are going to do this. Ray has gone to pick up the cake now along with a couple of script refills.
May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words and deeds and keep us all safe in His merciful and loving care.
Jeanette I pray your family makes it in safe.
I have gardening fever too. I was looking in the green house yesterday. I need to clean it up and get ready to plant some seeds in February.
I believe we might have made the freezing mark this morning. It was 34 when I decided to roll out of my warm cocoon. It's a beautiful blue sky and all over sunshine in spite of the cold.
Michael........my gardening neighbor behind me didn't have a garden last year but his son came over and planted a few things. It was not a pretty garden and was not kept up like his dad would do but they got a few vittles from it just the same. Last week I saw the Daddy back out there working the soil a little bit like he was getting it ready to go again this year. He must be getting anxious awaiting time to plant also. Maybe he missed having the bigger yield than before. I guess once you get accustomed to a certain size harvest, it's just hard to downsize.
My little family from Natchez just called to say they were on their way to Lafayette. They had just crossed the border into Louisiana. Should be here in a couple of hours. Guess I need to get my caboose in gear and get a few things done before they arrive. Oh, by the way, chapter 24 is completed. Lots to read, hope you enjoy.
Hope all of you have a most blessed day. May the Lord continue to comfort those in need and keep us all out of harms way.
We are back into what winter should be like.......upper 30's this morning and wall to wall sunshine. The next 3 or 4 days will be like this but then another little warming trend will return.
Michael.......so sorry to hear you got snow again, not sure how much a skiff is. Down here in the swamplands, a skiff is a shallow flat boat used to travel on the swamp waters. Hope it all melts away soon and doesn't stay around too long. My grandmother used to say if it stays on the ground for 3 days, it will snow again.
Holly........maybe we should be neighbors so we could share our treats with one another. I could make you some biscuits to eat on your way to work and you could share a bit of your supper with me.
We have another new member this morning. Please be sure to welcome Sid Whateley to the group. He comes to us from New Jersey.
May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds, giving us a receptive heart to His holy Word, and keep us all safe in His loving and merciful care.
Jeanette my favorite, breakfast. We have skiff of snow this morning. No school.
I am looking forward for spring and gardening.
Those look really good,Jeanette,I wish that I could stay home today and make some.
I send many to you all!!!!!! Hope your day is awesome.Almighty be praised!
Is anybody here hungry besides me? This will be short because I'm planning to put some biscuits in the oven . These look so good and it is a little on the cool side today. At least the rains are all gone and we are back to blue sky and sunshine.
Carol.......thanks for all the graphics you are sharing with us. Hope you are thawing out a little bit.
Holly.......happy to hear that you are finally getting some pretty weather. Found this little cartoon that I thought might fit you about now. LOL.
Hope everyone has a most blessed day. May the Lord continue to keep us all safe from harm and comfort those in need.
Hi.We have been blessed with weather that is pretty nice for January up here,am grateful for it.Have a great day.Limited time in the mornings to be o here.Hugs,ALMIGHTY be praised, and you all be blessed.
morning, all! love and prayers, well wishes...
Yep.....this is our kind of day here in the South. We began in the low 60's and will clock out in the upper 60's. Not too bad.
Kaya.......that is such a pretty snow scene, don't you wish you were here so you could play in it? LOL.
Holly......thanks for all the warm hugs and good wishes to start off our new week.
I'm planning to add to the Bible Study thread today. This is a long and hard one for me to find a good starting and stopping place for just one lesson. With just a little extra effort on my part, this chapter will be finished soon.
May the Lord comfort those in need and keep us all safe in His tender and loving care.
my precious friends, and manyto all of you.Have a wonderful week.Yahweh be praised!!!!!
Good Morning to Everyone who passes through here today. Carol and Holly, so glad to see you made it in.
We are somewhat cooler this morning, reached 40 degrees but expecting to be 69 today, just 1 little degree from 70 again. By Thursday we are supposed to be back to 32. If you don't like your current weather, stay around for a while, it will change. Enjoy it while you can. After all the rain, that blue sky sure is pretty.
It was a disappointing day yesterday, the Saints lost to Seattle and the Colts lost to the Patriots. We just struck out big time. Ray was happy though, he always pulls for the Patriots. Teresa used to live in Indy so I usually help her cheer for the Colts. We shall see what today brings.
I did manage to add some more to Chapter 24 of the Bible study thread. It's a long chapter but a very interesting and important one. Hope you all are enjoying it.
May the Lord continue to bless His children and provide for their individual needs and guide us in all our ways.
Hello,and good morning.Have a good sunday,and a good week.
thank you all for prayer and encouragement! love...
Yipppeee, Michael, so glad you are warming up a bit from that extreme cold. You really should be here visiting us for a few days. Last night around 9:30pm we started to hear thunder and it just kept coming closer until it was right on top of us. We had about an hour and a half of a real good little storm and it sounded so wonderful. When we flipped over to the weather channel, we were amazed to see that our current temp was 71 degrees. After the storm passed and the rains moved on eastward, the temps dropped a little. We woke up to 54 this morning but should reach 70 again this afternoon. Our AC is working almost full time. Back in my tank tops again. Hope you get some warmer temps also. Living on top of a mountain though may not get as warm as down low like we are.
Hey Gerry......how warm is it in Texas this weekend?
The northern states are still trying to dispose of their snow, maybe it will warm up enough to melt some of it. Thank you Lord for the break in the weather and the hope of a soon to be Spring.
May the Lord bless each of us according to our individual needs and keep us safe from harm.
be careful out there all...
Jeanette its hear. The rain hasn't started yet. Light rain so far.
Wow its warm this early morning 3:44 am

A pleasant 54 degrees here this morning and climbling to 66 for this afternoon. They have reinstated the 70 degree prediction for tomorrow. Of course, with the rising temps comes the rising barometer and rain. Everything looks wet outside now but can't tell if it was from a light rain or the pavement sweating from the high humidity. As long as it's warmer, I'll take it with a smile. We are really going to have trouble this spring when all that northern snow melts and travels south, widening our rivers and causing flooding along the way.
There sure is a lot of love showing in the room this morning. Very wonderful atmosphere to walk into.
Kaya, I did enjoy your song, life truly is a miracle. At the end of the month this thread will start making it's way to the archives tho and the video will go with it. If you would please post it also on the music thread so that others can enjoy it after January is gone.
Justice, we are happy to see you back again today. We miss you when your not here. We are also blessed to have your friendship.
Holly, cute graphic, bunny has floppy ears. Glad to hear that you are going to feel the warm up also, let's all pray that the worst of the winter weather is over and it will be milder for the next 2 months.
May the Lord continue to watch over us and keep us safe from harm and provide for the individual needs of His children.

Good morning,my friends.Nice to see you,Justice.Have a great day, everybody. This weekend is suppose to warm up a bit, that is great news for me.Stay warm.Hugs to you, prise to Almighty Yahweh.
Oh what a beautiful morning.......Oh what a beautiful day....... la la la de dum.......we woke up to 45 degrees and reaching for a high today of 66, and lots of bright sunshine. Of course with the warming will also come more rain but as long as it's warm, who cares? Hang in there, Michael, it's coming your way. You should get wet by Saturday. Gerry gets everything before we do so he is most likely in hog heaven too. Enjoy it while you can, nothing lasts forever.
Holly......loving your graphics, that was funny. Always nice to start off the day with a smile or a big chuckle. I snagged your little painter yesterday, he is now in my photobucket. One of these days I'll find an opportunity to use it.
We sure have a lot of members not posting. I hope they are not without power and hope they are not sick from the cold. .
May the Lord comfort those in need and continue to keep us all safe and warm in His loving care.
Jeanette we are warming back up some after the cold snap.
I haven't watched the weather this morning. We got up to 29 yesterday.
Holly we love your graphs and everyone's.
Gerry, send some of that San Antonio, sunny weather up this way. lol
God bless your day.
Hahahaha!!!!!1 Sorry,I had to do the graphic with the cat and the dog,it is just so funny.Hope it can make you laugh today. We had a "heat wave" ,23 degrees,at the end of yesterday, hahaha!!!!!Keep warm wherever you are, hugs to you, praises to ALMIGHTY.
After a cold 25F low, we are supposed to reach the 50's today and tonights low in the lower 40's. We have 60's forcast for the whole weekend. Yesterday they said 70 for Saturday but now that has changed again. A career in the weather profession is one of those "What You See Is What You Get" sort of jobs.
Hoping the rest of our members will also be out of the deep freeze just as quickly. Nance......guess you are just stuck with it for the duration of the winter months.
Michael......This extreme cold will take many lives, especially the elderly, but then again, so does the hot summer months. It's just not like it used to be when temperatures were normal.....seems like everything now days is extreme one way or the other. In the Spring there are extremes in the number of storms that claim lives and property. We just need to remember the elderly more in our prayers.
May the Lord continue to keep us safe and warm and provide for the needs of His children.
Most of the nations is in a deep freeze. We were down -9 lats night. Just wondering how many deaths will be due to the cold weather. I was reading wind chill -60 out west in some places.
It was a long frigid night over most of our nation, we hit freezing about 7pm and are not out of it yet. Even with blue sky, white cotton puff clouds and bright sunshine we are still just below freezing. Today's high might reach the lower 40's if it hurries. The cold has finally gotten to my huge elephant ears under the dining room window. Will have to get somebody to come cut them down so they can start over come Spring. Aaaaahhhhhh, what a beautiful word. The weather channel said that Chicago this morning was a -4. Poor Linda, hope she has the day off and doesn't have to get out in it. There are so few coming into group right now that I'm afraid some of you are without power. I'm praying that is not so.
Holly......When our temperatures reach the freezing point, they open up the shelters for the homeless and they can always go get hot meals at St. Joseph's Diner. They keep warm in there also but they can't sleep there. In weather like this there are also some that go into the ER at the Charity hospital and sleep under the benches and up against the walls on the floor to keep out of the cold. It is sad to see so many in this condition.
I have started Chapter 24 and it is most interesting to me. Hope the rest of you are finding it interesting also. This chapter has been taken out of context by so many preachers when preaching on the rapture in regard to the tribulation that the true interpretation has been so distorted. Hopefully, with enlightenment from the Holy Spirit, the correct message will come out of this that God desires for us to receive.
May the Lord comfort those in need and continue to keep His children warm and safe in His loving care.
Hello and good morning to everyone.I hope that you all are keeping warm.I know that here the temps are suppose to go back down to biting cold.I am thankful to not be homeless right now, pray for those who are.Have a great day....Hugs to you and praises to ALMIGHTY.Remember the prayer requests.
This is a great day. If you don't believe it, just ask me. We have received our first NEW MEMBER of 2014. Please go to the New Member thread and help me give a warm welcome to Neal Jeffries from Florida. He is not only new to Salvation By Grace but new also to Care2.
It was 28 here this morning and our predicted high to be 38. Tonight we will be dropping down into the teens. I can hardly wait for tomorrow to get this night behind us and into the history where it belongs. In spite of the cold, we do have pretty blue sky, abundant bright sunshine and a fantastic little breeze making it feel much colder than it really is. Maybe that wind will move this system on eastward and out of here faster.
Holly and Kaya......glad to see you this morning. Hopefully our other regulars have not lost power and will be dropping in later. I'm a little concerned we haven't heard from Justice in several days.
Nance, Florika, Carol, Kelli, Johnny, Michael, Gerry, Matthew, Jeff........where is everybody. You are all missed when you are not here.
Chapter 23 of Matthew is completed and I'll be starting on Chapter 24 soon. Maybe today if all goes well here.
May the Lord keep us all warm and safe in these dangerously cold temperatures and continue to provide for the individual needs of all His children.
Well look who's here this morning. What a beautiful day this is.
We woke up to 54 and should reach 65 by this afternoon and then drop like a rock to 28 for tonight. It will remain cold until the end of the week and then we have 70 forcast again for one day at least. This is really some crazy stuff going on. We are also forcast for rain today, it's heavy cloud cover with a slight breeze in the air.
Speaking of breeze......Did anybody besides me watch that game last night between the Saints and Eagles? That Brees did a great job in the 2nd half to come back and win the game. I thought we were goners for sure, I never would have thought we could pull that one out. I never would have thought the Colts could come back to be the Chiefs either. I was pulling for Kansas. Hope today's games are equally as exciting as yesterday.
Gerry.......my friend.....you have made my day showing up here this morning. We truly have been blessed not to suffer the coldest of the cold that our northern brothers and sisters are experiencing. For that we can be thankful. I understand your joy in having Hannah home for the holidays. I didn't get to see my son or my granddaughters this year for Christmas and it sure was lonely. They are going to try to come down in about 3 weeks though, guess we will do our Christmas then. By the time we learned they weren't coming it was too late to send their gifts to them. You have been keeping something from me......I never knew you had studied theology. I am so proud of you for desiring to go back and obtain your masters in the study. What a wonderful door God has opened to you. I do wish, more than ever, now that I know, that I could tempt you to post often and help get some good discussions going here. But I won't bug you about it. I would love to be doing what you are going to do but there is no way our budget will allow it. At my age, guess it would be silly to learn all I can just to take it with me. That is a very wise move on your part, if my opinion counts for anything. I've very proud of you. I will also continue to pray for you with your studies included. Your wife and Hannah must be proud of you too. Anytime you need somebody to bounce something off of, please feel free to bounce in this direction.
Holly.......glad to hear that you have even a little heat wave. It is enough maybe to get the snow melted so you can start over again with this next storm. These little warm days scattered here and there are just enough to give us hope for the Spring and to let us know God is not forgetting about us. Spring can't come soon enough for me. I'm ready and waiting.
Linda......Happy New Year to you and thank you for stopping in to let us know you were not snowed under. What a blessing to have a neighbor willing to brave the cold and shovel the snow for you. Make that neighbor a batch of cookies or a pot of hot soup. I can almost hear your sigh of relief with the shopping rush over. You must feel a little like you have jet lag now that you have slowed down. After inventory will come Valentines, St. Pat's Day and then Easter and Mother's Day. I'm praying that you will not have your hours cut again to shorten your paycheck. Also, thank you for your prayers, they are very much appreciated. Hope to see you again soon but will understand your not wanting to brave the cold just to come wave at us. Will be praying for you. Keep warm and stay safe.
For all the rest of our members, you are missed and we would love to see you often.
May the Lord keep us all warm and safe in His care and guide us in all our thoughts, words and deeds.
Hello,Linda and Gerry.Nice to see you guys here.
Jeanette and Michael, how are you feeling today?I hope that you are feeling better.
Hi,everyone.I hope that you have a good upcoming week.
It warmed up yesterday, today is suppose to be a heat wave....40....lol......stay warm wherever you are.I will enjoy 40 while I can, tomorrow it is suppose to drop back down. :(
I just got off work and thought I better check in. We enjoyed good weather today in San Antonio, sunny and 69. Temperatures are supposed to drop tomorrow and Monday, but no where near some of the lows many in our group are enduring.
We are enjoying having our daughter Hannah home from Abilene Christian University for the holidays. Time goes by so fast.
After talking with my wife, I've decided to work on an online master's degree in theology from Liberty University. Since my teaching career ended, I have been working part time as a cashier at the local Goodwill store. They have a program that will pay for my college! So, I will take advantage of that...and try and get my life going again.
All of you are in my prayers and I thank you for your prayers. May God continue to watch over us.
A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Already I am sick of winter weather and to think we still have about two months to go. So far it's been either freezing subzero temps with gusty winds or warmer temps bringing snow. Had a major snowstorm that started New Years Eve and finally ended sometime thursday. I think my area got around 4 to 6 inches when it finally stopped. I was so thankful not to have to go into work New Year's Day. When I did have to go into work the next day,my neighbor in the apt next to me was nice enough to have my steps and porch shovelled as well as a path for me to walk to the road. Friday was somewhat nicer. Sun came out and temps almost reached high 20's. Towards evening and late into the night had heavy winds blowing at almost 30 mph. Felt like my door was going to blow in.
Holiday shopping rush is thankfully over with and now my store is preparing for inventory the end of January.
Jeanette-I too was glad to see 2013 come to an end. It wasn't a good year for me for various reasons. Sorry you are having problems with your lungs again. Will be praying for healing and that the pnuemonia doesn't return.
Michael-sorry about your computer problems and that you've been hurting the past few days. Will be praying for you as well.
Nance-loved the video of the cat leaping through the snow.
Holly-the kitty looks peaceful and contented among the loaves of bread. How many loaves did she knock off to make room for herself?
Don't know when I can visit again so well wish all a blessed weekend.
This post was modified from its original form on 04 Jan, 10:22
Oh my goodness, I have no room to complain about the cold. Nance, the last time I was in temps below 0 was in my late teens. I never want to go through that again. I can't imagine what it must feel like at -51C, even if it is wind chill. Is that your cat? That is so cute hopping along like a bunny in the deep snow. Poor thing wanted indoors to get warm.
Holly......my heart goes out to you also, having to take the time to dig out and clean off the car so you can see to drive, then wait for it to warm up, brrrrrrrrr, is all I can say. We have done it many times living in Arkansas and in N.C. where the snow is plentiful. It was rough back then but our bodies were better able to cope with it. Actually, we found it a bit exciting and troublesome at the same time. I know you are excited to learn the due date and the sex of your next grandchild. I'm anxious for you. Please let me know when you find out.
Michael......Glad to see you again, been missing you. I was afraid you might be having computer problems. Also glad to hear that you finally got your prescription again, I realize this extreme cold only makes it worse for you. After a few days of getting it back into your system you should start feeling better. You are always in my prayers.
Justice must be experiencing similiar weather, she and Holly are both in the same state. Hope you both keep warm and don't get sick having to be out in it. Linda is also having lots of snow from the storm. It's bad all across the north. Carol, are you getting snow? I know you are in the area to receive that bad cold blast.
We were down to 28 this morning but should reach mid 60's by afternoon and only a low in the 50's tonight. Then 60's again tomorrow but the 20's again for tomorrow night. Two days and one night of livable weather.....I'll take it with a smile anytime I can get it. Mardi Gras activities are getting into full swing in our area. There is a big ball event this weekend for one of the krewes and lots of celebrating going on. This will continue from now until Mardi Gras day on February 22......I think that's the date this year. I truly hate Mardi Gras.
May the Lord remember the needs of His children and keep us safe and warm as we remember to give our praises to Him.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
Cold! Cold! We have been down to 9 degrees. Its cold out side. lol
Jeanette thanks for the up dates. I have been having problems with my pc after the hacker got into it. Its been so slow. I think I have it going good again. I have been hurting bad last few days. Finley got my enbrel shots back after 3 weeks waiting. My dr. sent them to a online pharmacy.
It was 7 degrees fahrenheit as I drove to work yesterday morning, and I literally have to dig out my car and clean it off,as well as warm it up,before I am able to go anywhere.I will be so happy when spring comes. My son,his baby, and his girlfriend went to visit my youngest daughter last night, went to one of their gatherings.Lots of singing and dancing, she seems happy there. My oldest daughter will soon find out when her baby is due.Keep each other in prayer,I am thankful for all of you,and hope that Iam able to be a blessing to you as well.Keep warm, and have a great weekend.
Allo~ Everyone~ what couple days of -51 C windchills up here, and more snow....then more of the cold artic flow....ooooo~ those tires on our vehicles are like the Flinstones
Brrrrrr, we started off at 28 and hopefully will reach 48 by this afternoon. This is sure not what I ordered, but the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, decided that we needed this to better bring in the beautiful Spring he has set aside for us to enjoy this year. Next week we are expecting lower 20's and upper teens. There are a lot of places colder than this and I thank the good Lord I don't live there.
Holly, the kitty in your graphic looks warm and cozy. I'm afraid if that were my loaves of bread, that cat wouldn't like what I did to it. All of that time and energy and ingredients gone to waste when there are hungry people in this world. If that were my cat, she would find herself sleeping in an igloo outside in the cold or the animal shelter real quick. No longer allowed in the house. Thank you for your prayers, I'm doing my breathing treatments every 3 to 4 hours and I think they might be helping. Teresa listened to my lungs with her stethoscope and said a little bit of air was moving in my left lung but it was very shallow. She is still sleeping this morning but I'll ask her to listen again when she is awake good and see if it's any better. This cough is keeping me week and tired out.
Carol......always happy to see you, even if for just a few minutes. Hopefully you will have more time to chat with us today.
Michael......have not heard from you for a few days, hope all is okay with you and your family. Praying you don't lose power in this cold spell and that you are staying healthy.
We would like to hear from all of our members that are missing in action. Maybe things will slow down when school gets back into swing next week and our absentees will start drifting back in. You might have noticed that I was finally able to start Chapter 23 of Matthew. Hope that you haven't gotten too far behind and are able to catch up and keep current with us. Only 5 more chapters to go after this one.
May the Lord continue to provide for the needs of His children and keep us safe in His loving care.
love to all! more later...
Jeanette,of course we will pray. You do it for everyone else. Thanks for all that you do,for ALMIGHTY and others. What we do for HIM,to promote HIS Kingdom...we do a thing that will have forever implications,a thing that truly matters.
Hello Everyone.......Whatever your weather, enjoy it while you can, it's going to get worse. We woke up to 54, it went up to 57 and then started falling. It will continue to fall all the way down to 29 for tonight and winter is moving in hard and fast on us. Thank God the deep south doesn't have to worry about the icy conditions and snow moving across the northern states.
Florika......I loved your post this morning and the poem. Thanks for sharing with us but mostly thanks for coming in to see us. We don't see you often enough. Hope all is well with you and yours. Are you having a hard winter on your side of the world? Ours seems messier and colder than the last couple of years.
My nurse tells me that I'm not moving air in the lower lobes of my lungs, that I may have pneumonia again. They are trying to get permission from the doctor to bring the portable x-ray machine out here to see what is going on. I'm afraid the doctor will say no and make me go to the ER for x-ray. If that happens, I will probably be admitted again. If I should fail to show up one day, you will know why. Please don't stop posting for each other and hang in there til I get back. If you all said a prayer that my lungs clear up, I wouldn't mind. LOL.
May the Lord guide us in all our ways and keep us safe in His loving care.

New Year's Prayer by Charlotte Anselmo
Thank you Lord for giving me
The brand new year ahead
Help me live the way I should
As each new day I tread.
Give me gentle wisdom
That I might help a friend
Give me strength and courage
So a shoulder I might lend.
The year ahead is empty
Help me fill it with good things
Each new day filled with joy
And the happiness it brings.
Please give the leaders of our world
A courage born of peace
That they might lead us gently
And all the fighting cease.
Please give to all upon this earth
A heart that's filled with love
A gentle happy way to live
With Your blessings from above.
Happy New Year to you also Kaya......hope it's the best ever. We love you too.
Happy new year.Love you.
SISTER JEANETTE I AM STAND IN 100% AGREEMENT WITH YOU HOLY SPIRIT ANOINTED PRAYER FOR EACH OF US, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS
We are starting off the new year with 45F, rain, and a high of 59 forcast for this afternoon. Lots of rain will be moving through here and covering the northeast just in time for a new storm, Hercules, to hit hard. By the weekend, snow and icy conditions should be all over the north and northeast from Tennessee to Maine. This should include Holly and Justice in N.Y.......Linda in Chicago......Michael in Virginia.......and Carol, I don't know if you are in line for it or not. I think Johnny might also be in it's path. Stock up in case you can't get out for a while. Carla and I are fighting the rain, Carla usually loses her internet and phones in this type of weather and gets flooded streets in her neighborhood.
Hope all of you had a fun-filled and peaceful transition into the New Year. I for one am so happy to be finished with 2013. Yesterday I had a DEVIL of a time getting the new threads completed. Home health care sent the CNA and the Nurse here on the same day and within a couple of hours of each other. Just as I was getting into listing all the prayers on the Prayer Request thread, I would have to stop and clear it out so my computer wouldn't freeze up. Then when I finally thought I was about to get it done, it all just disappeared. I guess I hit the wrong button or something. I just know it took me forever and was very frustrating for this old lady. My plans to finish with Chapter 22 of Matthew didn't happen. Maybe today I can get it finished so we can move on and complete this book before too much longer.
Time to go start dinner......guess we will have the traditional cabbage, black-eyes and pork. I have a small ham I'm going to put into the oven and glaze it. Maybe, if I'm not too tired, I can manage to get some cornbread on the table also. No desserts......we all gained through the holidays and need to start back on a healthier diet of less sweets. At least until we get rid of the extra pounds.
May the Lord continue to provide for the needs of His children and keep us all safe from harm.
greetings and love to all!
Happy New Year!
