1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Think about this! First the dead will rise. All of our loved ones who were saved and those who came before us, their bodies will rise up and meet the Lord and then we, the living, the believers will follow and meet Him in the clouds. Can you imagine the sight? Will we have time to gaze around at one another, seeing millions and millions of souls in the clouds surrounding our Lord before the journey home? Or will it be instantaneous that we are next in Heaven and before the Mercy seat? Will we be next on our knees before the Lord Jesus Christ and the Father? or will be greeting each other in Heaven, knowing the names of everyone? So many questions, with no real answers, but just excitement, when you think about it! The saints of old and the saints of new mingling around in Heaven. And don't forget the Angels also. This will be a glorious place to say the least. But for how long? Remember, to God, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. So, how long will it seem in Heaven for the tribulation period to last and before Jesus brings us back to earth with Him? Again, so many questions, with no real answers. But all I can say is, I am ready Lord Jesus, I am ready! God Bless!
How can anyone ponder on these thoughts without a big smile on their face. I'm ready also.
When? Whan is this happening? What will happen to everyone else? What will happen to the earth? This is real? Is that why the world is going to,,,ummm,,,you know what.... ?
Gabra.......This event could happen any day as enough of the prophesies have been fulfilled for this to come about. The only thing preventing it is that the Church is not complete yet. When it happens, it will be a wonderful thing, not something to fear. It will be an event for born again Christians only. Those that do not know God will not even know it is taking place. They will just know that millions of people suddenly and mysteriously vanished from the face of the earth and they will have no clue as to where we are. Only those that are left behind will have to endure the terrible tribulation period for 7 years. At the end of that 7 years, Jesus and all of us will return to earth and set up His glorious kingdom. We, the bride of the King will reign with Him in that kingdom. Going to heaven, to the house of the Almighty God will be a wonderful experience. That is where we will be reunited with all of our loved ones that have died before us. Do not worry about the earth, we are told in Ecclesiastes 1:4....."One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever." This old earth isn't going anywhere, it will stay right where it is. Does this make you feel any better, any less fearful about what is to come? When we go to heaven, we will be made whole again, no pain, no sickness, no sorrow, no tears, and best of all, no evil to tempt us ever again. There is such beauty there as words cannot describe and man cannon begin to imagine.
