I met a man the other day....

yeah...on the internet....

He said he was lonely...

And was looking for true love

And he told me god sent me from above

for him

he was sure of it

he really said he was

he told me he was tired of women's games

and he had been hurt too

and I told him I had my guard up

and didn't believe this could happen

He said it is true...it is true

I am looking for true love

What is true love to you ?..he said

I gave him some answer and he gave me one too

His answer was so poetic and perfect and I said

Did you write this yourself ..or copy from a poetry book..

He said...

it is from my heart...and is true

I asked how could he think that maybe

per chance he found someone just like that

he said he had faith that God placed me in his path.

He messaged me and talked sweet and said lovely things

but too lovely..too sweet...too fast ....I did think

I drilled him with questions..

I wanted to know , if he was a scammer or real

if real...great...but I am no fool...I must know all about you

I told him...all about you...

He agreed...of course my love...of course...

What was his father's name....(poor man, his father was dead a long time)

But his name?

His name?

He gave me a name.

His mother's name I asked...(poor man, his mother died recently)

His mother's name..?

His mother's name I said, what was her name..bet it was pretty.

Because he told me his mom came from ITALY!

He told me her name.

Where do you live I enquired...I must really know ?

New York he said...

OH!!

That's nice....I came from there!

He had me in his web...(he thought)

I asked where in New York.? please

He said..hesitatingly ...Hudson .N.Y.

hmm I said...don't know where that is ...

Is it upstate?

what city is it near?

He gave me some name of a place nearby..

after a long pause.

He asked me if I was looking for true love

I said I am not looking.

I have been hurt...

and am happy without the drama

I would never get with someone who

would lie or cheat or anything bad

He understood...and said HE WAS GOOD.

He was hurt before and wanted something real.

And true.  And forever. and ever...and never part.

He really had me going there for a minute.

But I had to be aware!  and I am aware of people who

would lie to women...and cheat and hurt and steal...

and manipulate...and I would never ever stand for that!

He agreed with that...and told me

He was for real...and not to ever doubt..

that all his words were real and honest

and comes from in his heart.

He is looking for a wife...someone to love him..

Well, I said...if this is the miracle people talk about...then when I have you

checked out.  and you pass scrutiny , and I know for sure

that you aren't a criminal, a married man or more...

maybe then we talk ...

but please send me a picture of your driver's licence please...

He said he left it home...

you see...the second day he spoke to me...

He was supposedly

Now in Africa on a construction site.

The day before he was in New York ...Hudson..that night.

So, he gave me a number and asked me to call him.

I said I have no international phone service..he said I understand.

So we will Instant Message till he come's back home.

I asked of course what work does he do..

He said he is a contractor..ok..

I asked what does a contractor do these days..

He said he was in Africa to build a governmental building.

And was overseeing the site..

and it was getting late and he had to sleep that night.

And he would talk to me tomorrow...and miss me he said

really miss me....you are so in my head....I am thinking..

thinking only of you...can't wait till we talk again

I thought......woohoo....

How charming...and sweet...a lonely man...looking for love..

just happened to search online for someone to talk to...

cause he was feeling so down...

so sad and alone.

I fell for it up to a point...but the red flags were flying

and I was going to find out WHO HE WAS....

and not fall for a line

I am not stupid....and this....THIS WAS ONLINE....

The very place I warned my girlfriends to be wary of....

Not to believe anyone...not to give information...or location

or they might be sorry or hurt...or worse..dead...

But as this was also going through my head.?...

I was wary....unsure....suspicious...unclear....questioning...all the time..

never letting up...

when he had enough questions and was time to turn in ..

he said

that he hoped to talk to me again..and I have made him

a very happy man indeed.

How nice.

arrivederci he said

I said ciao

we said goodnight..and then I thought..

my this is strange...

am I dreaming ...or did someone good (yeah right)

just happen to come to my site....and find me

by happenstance...that night.

ha!

later on...I went on another site..and saw a warning..fo  [ send green star]

I copied and pasted it and sent it in his offline message..

And I said...oh tell me you aren't one of these guys?

Oh tell me you are real?

Oh my this can't be one of those scams

You tell me when you come back.

and let me know

Are you ..you?....or some scam artist I don't know.

Well, the next morning....Guess what I see?

A note or two or three

from him..

saying I hurt his feelings...

(poor guy)..

I said...I wrote if you are you...you have nothing to hide....

but if not...I will soon find out.

Then!  he hits me with the schpeal...

"You made me sick this morning...and I can't work..I got so upset."

"oh really ..I said...why..if you are not a thief on the internet?"

He said he knew he couldn't trust me and bla bla bla bla

I said...I knew it....and pushed him some more..to really clear himself

if he was for real.

if not ...then I of course knew it was a scam deal.

well.....

Now he has no money...he said

no money for the hotel....

no money for bread....

I said....What?....you are a contactor..

you have business all the time..

can't believe you would go somewhere so far

without a dime?

I can't believe that. 

This isn't true...for if you are you...you are you

and not destitude...

He was strange...and firm...and kept up the begging

for money for him for food and lodging.

And then he said if I have no money,...I could borrow it for him

honey.

I said...nope...i can't I don't have a way....

I paid all my bills and have no money left today..

He didn't believe me..and asked me again...would I help

him if I cared i would...and please don't let him down.

I didn't fall for it...

He then said....Your'e smart.

I said yes...

He said he is going to the hospital for I made him sick

poor poor man looking for love ....and I made him sick?

Well, the cat's out of the bag..

and this is true...

Scammers come in emails...

and now in

 INSTANT MESSAGING TOO!
