A warm greeting to our new members! January 11, 2008 12:57 AM

And wow, seven new members this week! Please pitch in! Make yourselves at home!  [ send green star]
Welcome Michael, December 24, 2007 10:50 AM

To answer your question about the group you would like to leave... on the front page of each group, just below the greeting, above the hosts, and to the left of the Invite button, there is a link to Un-join, quick and easy. The name of that group was changed recently, perhaps you were a member under it's previous name.

We are glad to have you join us. Make yourself at home, browse the threads and please share your thoughts.

Hi All! December 24, 2007 3:36 AM

Hi All,  I haven't been on Care2 for abut a year and am glad to see a group supporting Dennis Kucinich.  I am looking forward to being in this group. Now I have a question, does anyone know how to delete yourself from a group you didn't join.  When I finally got back on the internet and checked out my Care2 groups, I found out that I have joined the Edwards -Obama group some how when I didn't have a computer or internet service.  Very interesting.  Again, I am looking forward to helping getting Kucinich elected to the presidency.

Welcome, Mark October 24, 2007 11:09 AM

Fired up is just what we need!

I hope you like the group, and look forward to your contributions. Please be sure to post your stories about Dennis, and note the news in Kucinich in the news, and vote in the polls. You may also want to visit the 'Start winning now''Supporting Kucinich on Care2' and 'Resources for taking it off the net'threads for more ideas on how we can win this all important election.

Great to have you on board!

anonymous Hello All! October 24, 2007 1:14 AM

Hello All, My name is Mark and I live the Vibration of LOVE in Albuquerque, NM. I'm in FULL SUPPORT of Dennis for the job of President of the United States. By my instincts and Knowledge, I KNOW, that Dennis is the ONLY applicant "Spiritually Mature" enough to do the job that needs to be done. I will not support ANY candidate who has not lived up to their Oath of Office, to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, from ALL enemies, both foreign and Domestic. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who voted for the Patriot Act is guilty of, at the very least, malfeasance, and at the worst High Treason. Add to that, voting for a war of aggression, which, was and is a Cowardly Act, for profit, no matter WHAT the supposed reason, and we end up with a handful of responsible Human Beings, who take their Oath seriously, and SERVE THE PUBLIC INTEREST. The rest are CRIMINALS, and COWARDS, not worth mentioning, accept in writing, on a warrant.

Dennis is the Leader of TRUE PATRIOTS, who know from experience, that the endemic corruption of the system HAS TO BE FLUSHED OUT AND AWAY. Anyway, Hi, nice to meet you all.( Can ya tell I'm a little fed up?)

"Any nation or society, that tacitly approves corruption by its' apathy, is by definition, corrupt!"   and you can quote me on that

Peace NOW!

Harmony, you are now a member of the majority! Life is difficult regardless, but relationships are especially difficult in our modern society where men and women are changing roles so much -- among other pressures.  [report anonymous abuse]
Thanks, Amelia! September 25, 2007 7:29 AM

Welcome to all the new folks! :-) September 24, 2007 10:49 PM

We're all really happy to see you here! And this week alone, we've 32 new members! Please feel absolutely comfortable and free to say hello in here, and also to introduce yourselves in the intro thread- and make yourselves at home! I would like to thank all my Co-Hosts who are doing so splendidly- and every single member in here. A personal note about me- I've had the wind knocked out of my sails by with a painful separation, but I am really planning to get my life back and to be up and running again as soon as I can. This forum is near and dear to me, as is Kucinich!  [ send green star]

Glad to have you Amelia September 23, 2007 10:53 AM

Make yourself at home. Take some time to look over the threads, the members have really come up with great ideas for how we can help get Dennis elected, and how the challenges can be overcome. My current favorite is Start Winning Now, but so many offer insight, I hope you get the chance to look at all of them. Feel free to share your thoughts on the group, and share your experienceswith us. Maybe you would like to tell us (and those who are just curious) more about why you are voting for Kucinich

Also, please take the time to check the Kucinich in the Newsthread often and note the stories the to help us get Dennis on the front page.

Again, welcome! I hope you will find this group both inspiring and empowering.

Thanks Doris! I have always been a "yellow dog Democrat" (I'd vote for a yellow dog, as long as it's a Democrat).. but I'm sick of Democrats: allowing Liberal to be a bad word, twisting themselves into knots trying to be RepubliCON-lite, refusing to do the job they were elected to do, making excuses instead of making a stand, allowing the Economy to be hijacked & held for ransom by foreign powers, allowing our resources to be squandered, allowing our troops to be squandered in places we have NO business being, allowing our Freedoms to be "disappeared" & tortured beyond recognition.. etc.,etc., etc.  It's time to remember OUR Roots, OUR Ideals, & OUR Constitution! (Sorry, I had to shorten my rant, I'm exhausted from tree-hugging!hehe.. )

Yvonne, kudos, green stars! September 09, 2007 5:09 PM

Marie, are you serious? 1st you have to be an American citizen, 2nd. you have to be registered to vote in the state/county/town where you live, 3. you can register at a Driver's license facility.. in General PRESIDENTIAL Elections you can vote even when you're out of your district (by absentee or in-person) but you can only vote on local/state ballots by Absentee ahead of time or in person on election day. Every state has it's own rules, but IL. requires you to be registered at least 90 days in advance (last I know of)..   [ send green star]

Hello from southern Illinois! I am glad that Kucinich is running! Being from IL., it has been the hardest race in my lifetime - OBama is "nice" & from IL. (it helps that he'd be the 1st black President, it hurts that he's RepubliCON-lite), I loved Hillary when she was 1st Lady (again it helps she'd be the first woman President, but again - her RepubliCON roots are showing - she's NO Bill Clinton!), I voted for Kerry because his VP was Edwards, and Edwards is sweet & has supported Unions & the poor (but I just don't think he can wrestle the job away from Barrack or Hillary)... BUT, only Kucinich promotes the Democratic Ideals across the board!

If he doesn't get the Party's nomination, then it's time for a New Party!

I applaud Ron Paul for airing Bush's dirty laundry but he is still a Republican and he will appoint a Republican adminstration which will give us more of the same crap we have had for years .If Ron Paul had changed his party to Democrat or Independent that might have made a difference .

My vote is with Kucinich because he represents what I believe in and he represents the people .I want a peoples president not this big business agenda that we have had for too many years now .

I am leaving Costa Rica, returning to the States.   I will be able to vote this election.  I am very selective of the groups I am joining now, however I am glad to be a part of this group.

It is my heartfelt belief Dennis was born to lead our country out of the mess we are mired in at this time.  He is a very spiritual man and comes from a place of love.  He will gain strength with more exposure.  Remember the power of words and they gain a life of their own.  See him as already elected and doing an incredible job, express your gratitude in your prayers for his leadership.

Hi everyone. I don't see my previous entry so I'll introduce myself again. I'm William and I'm a Dennis Kucinich supporter. I'm proud to share a birthday with the man. He has shown his leadership by being pro-peace, pro-animal, pro-environment, pro-American.

But I also support John Edwards, since I think he may have the best chance of winning the general election. I'd love to see Kucinich and Edwards together. The only thing that's going to change my mind about the two of them is the entry of Al Gore into the race. He has the evironmental ideas and the star power to win the presidency over those crooked Republicans.

They're all American heroes and leaders.

I encourage you all to come support and promote your candidate at the growing Election 2008 group:

Hi you all,

As a European/Dutchman I cannot vote, but we do have discussions in Europe about who we would vote for when we could. Ron Paul is the most popular (with the people who are a little educated on the topics). Most people in Europe never heard of Kucinich. Paul is popular through his appearances in documentaries as Freedom to Fascism, or when Orwel turns in his Grave.

I do however know a little about Kucinich (always have trouble with spelling the name right) and I think he would be a better choice then Paul. I'm here to learn more about Kucinich and see if I can make my European buddies more familiar with him.

Let peace and sanity get a voice. That's the only thing that can turn things around.

Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich? August 17, 2007 8:45 PM

Paul has shown over the years that he is sincere and he doesn't deviate from his stances, but he has a huge blind spot and is therefore no danger to the powers. He adheres fanatically to the dogmas of his first love, Libertarianism, therefore, though sincere, he is sincerely wrong on the really important issues - such as money and government.

Apparently he has no idea who runs the Libertarians, nor has he ever thought through the faulty theories of the "Austrians." He is a mental lightweight, I'm afraid. Libertarianism boils down to a desire for a "free market" in the sense of no government oversight. This is the ideal of the power bunch as it gives their illicit private "money" (worthless bank credit) free reign over everything material in the whole world, including people. Financial monopoly with no worries about a superior force (government) demanding they give the little guy a break.
Paul shows his lack of understanding since, as a "free market" advocate, he should love NAFTA, GATT, the World Bank, the North American Union thing, etc. All these entities are devoted to letting globalist corporations operate for a bigger bottom line without any government oversight.

There is a man running for president who does understand all these things, money included - a real rarity in a politician. He is Dennis Kucinich - but, of course, you almost never see his name in the media anywhere. Because this man would be a REAL danger to the powers that be.

anonymous Intro from Thomas Markham January 17, 2007 10:26 AM

Thanks for the invite Harmony! I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican, and registered as an Independent I'm not a member of any political party. I am a "Constructive Anarchist/Socialist." But despite my vision of a "stateless," egalitarian and just society, I still vote in our so-called democracy even though I concur with anarchist Emma Goldman's perhaps cynical observation, "If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal." Yet, Kucinich is the only candidate of the two-party "duopoly" that even comes close to reflecting and representing any of my values and convictions. I also believe him to be one of the few politicians that is honest, and has integrity and the strength of his convictions, even if I don't agree with him on every issue. I can support Kucinich and a handful of truly "progressive" candidates while I continue to work toward, and until a real revolutionary mass "people’s movement" in this country comes together. That is why I am here.

"There are always two parties; the establishment and the movement."

welcome, Holly! December 13, 2006 3:56 PM

I was born in Lakewood, Ohio! A part of me wishes I still was there so that I could meet Dennis, too. I hear your situation as a Clevelander needing Dennis- it also seems like someone with his vision is needed by our country, too. I am very excited by his decision to run  [ send green star]
I did not get an invite, but ... December 13, 2006 12:52 PM

Hello all! I am not political at all, but I think that now is the time for me to become more involved. I lack knowledge about politics, but I know this ...I do not like Bush at all!

Linda, Holly...You're welcome.

I'd like to stay updated as to how his attentiveness to his constituents is affected by his presidential bid.  How did his bid in '04 affect his ability to attend to his constituents needs then?

I get the feeling that he's always going to put the needs of his constituents first but I realize that campaigning for president can be quite demanding.

Kucinich Rocks! December 13, 2006 12:43 PM

Thanks to Zolrey for the invitation! As a resident of the Cleveland area and a Kucinich constituent, I can honestly say Dennis has always been extremely motivated to do the right thing for the people he represents and is instrumental in the fight to keep jobs in our area. Having said that, I'm torn by his decision to run as a presidential candidate again in that he will be unable to give us Clevelanders his full attention while vying for the national seat. Still, ya gotta love the guy. He speaks his mind and responds to questions with solid answers, not more political rhetoric. If he stays in the race long enough, he's got my vote!

Hello Hello! December 11, 2006 8:56 PM

And thanks to Lulu for the invite! I'm living behind the Orange Curtain...gee, it's a drag sometimes! Yesterday, in a Mexican restaurant, a white guy actually had the nerve to make racist comments, where people could here him. I pretended to talk on the phone (my battery was dead!) and said my peace about all the progressiove news of the day...then I reprimanded him in a courteious way...

The day after the Dems took the house, a guy actually yelled "F*ck You!" from his car. I was driving next to him, with my stickered car! ...I ended up being in front of him at the light,, so I took the opportunity to get out of my car, and do a victory song and dance..."We Got the House!! We Got the House!" The guy probably peed his pants when the Dems got the Senate too...It was a good day to be a Dem...

Hi to everyone here,

I'm a new member, coming in after reading Harmony's news post about Dennis being targeted by the RNC. I was so happy to vote for & support him in 2004. Dennis is a good man...kind, compassionate, and smart. Imagine what our country would be like if he could lead the USA in the right direction for a change!

Anyway, I'm glad to find some other folks who feel the same way about him and his ideas. I'll stop by and chat when I can.
