I think it is very imprtant in any endeavor such as this that we define a clear and concise mission statement.

Without a goal, we have nothing. There must be something that we are willing to work hard, and dedicate our time for.

A simple statement can suffice in the beginning. We can add to this and make it our own. It cannot be too lengthy, a paragragh or less that lays out what we all want to accomplish in this group.

Example:

Care2 Community Circle is a safe place where you can come to meet your new family here at care2. This is a group that you can pass on information to get the message spread throughout the community. You can get questions answered and provide information to make others experience at care2 a better one.

That was just off the top of my head, and it is not really a good one. It has to be our whole purpose here wrapped up in a small paragraph.

Once the mission statement is decided upon then we can go about building the foundation we need to support this.

In one sense, just bringing a wide range of people together is a purpose. Would it be better for everyone if there was a clearly-defined goal?

I think the accomplishment of good conversation is a worthy goal in itself. But I am also open to hearing all kinds of ideas and suggestions.
