Welcome All...first off post a intro here if you want but I won't hound you about it seeing as I never do!
But thank you for joining I made this group because I was sick of these important issues getting lost in fights...and while I love a good debate and talking...I will not allow abuse at all of my members.
So thank you all for joining and lets make a difference!
Thank you so much for the invite, Ashley. I am so glad to be here with you as this is the type of group in which is so important to me and what I like to see being done to help others and make their lives better.
My name is Michael, and I am a disabled person who loves to help support others who are disabled, and issues concerning any type of disablity, and those that concern children and the welfare of others. We need to spread a lot of love around this world and we can do it by starting right here.
Welcome Warren! Thank you so much for joining you are one of my favorite people here on Care2...I envy you tact and compassion! I couldn't have said it better...I want this group to be about just that making a difference in a positive, loving and peaceful manner! I know you are good to your groups and I am happy your in this one!
Thank you for the invite.I believe every child should have unconditional love and support! Not to mention food ,clothing, shelter, their home a safe haven.Their school a place of learning where each and every child has a nutrtious meal each day.And doesn't have to worry about being shot or having to avoid drug dealers on their way home. I am somewhat passionate about this and I know my comment may appear naive, but Imagine! Isn't that the way it should be!?Safe secure, well educated! Tolerant! Healthy, happy. Not afraid and hungry! And certainly not having to fear abuse or hunger in their own home!
TM...Amen Sister!!! You are absolutely right and your view is not naive! It is hopeful and free of the weight being told it is impossible to have it all.If I got just one wish it would be that everyone could believe in good like you do...The better we do for our children the better they can do for their children and one day the world will be a place where no child has to fear the future...and can truly live.
I'm very pleased I found this group and to have had my application accepted. Thank you Ashley .

There are no words that could ever come close to expressing my condolences about your Son...To lose someone so young is unimaginable and your stength is amazing.

My name is TinaH and I wanted to thank Karen for the invite! I see a few faces here that I know already, and those I don't know....I look forward to getting to know you.
I am a Sexual Assualt Victim Activist as well as a strong activist for children. My philosophy in life is this: "Children do not ask to be created, but are gifts. You DO NOT get right to ruin a childs life."
Welcome Tina...That is a great philosophy...Every child deserves love and I truly think if we all showed each other a little more love and respect the world wouldn't have most of these problems...Thank You for joining I am glad to have all these people with so much to give here!
Hi Everyone! I'm Derek, I'm 33 years young, and children are the strength of the world Ashlyn, it's a privilege to be here! I've sent a link to Light to Unite! to everyone in Care2, because I hadn't heard about it before, and if even 10% of all the members all over the world acted on it, that would make sucha HUGE difference! Take care, one and all, and I hope to be back in here again soon Love and hugs, Derek
Hello from the wetlands of Oregon January 15, 2006 9:23 AM
Thank you Karen H. for the invite.
I am a married mother of grown and out of the house twin girls, both in college (self financing) in Connecticut. It has been an incredible struggle to both, but we have strong able woman for daughters.
Children are, they say, mirrors of ourselves, but in a way I disagree. We are guides, boundry givers and takers-away. I think it was Gilbran that said "We are the bow to the arrows" so to speak. We must guide with the firm belief that what we do affects what they do. We must live by example, with a lot of ethics and to impart all the knowledge of the real world to them so they are prepared for that world they are entering.
I know...I am -ing, so I will stop for now.
My profile is a good example of who I am...feel free to see....oh so poetic.
Hi Derek...Welcome!...The Light to Unite link is already in our AIDS thread which is pinned to the frontpage..but thank you for posting it again with such a great cause you really can't post it enough!
You are right Children are the Strength of the World...they are also the Heart...so it is our job to protect them..and I couldn't think of better people to do it with!
Thanks John for the Invite January 30, 2006 11:24 AM
I guess you can count me in....have 36 of the little ankle biters myself...Alot of laughs and alot of tears...sure glad they now think that they are grown....cause momma's leaving the nest...giggles. and I will do what ever I have to, to stop kids from hurt...been there too....but one thing we all have in common...we all need love....and its easy to love a child..we can learn alot from them.
But under no conditions will I bring home anymore....giggles....Look forward to it..

Hello, I'm Drew. I was looking around for groups that focuses on children's welfare. This is my main cause. And this looks like a group of people who care about what is good and right for children. I am happy to be a part of the group.

Hello. My name is Adam. I am just trying to spread the word about this site because it is probably the easiest free opportunity I have seen to make a real difference. When you make it your home page, one meal a day is donated to a hungry child. Please help spread the word. http://homepageforhope.com
