Since Care2 doesn't have it's own messenger want to share our own messengers here? I found a website that gives you code to show if you are online or not on your messenger (yahoo,msn,aim,icq,irc)

I think it would be fun to start a list here using the code. Then we could just come to this thread and scroll down to see who is online and wants to talk! Read carefully to find out how to use the code!!

It shows different images from different hosts. Choose an image you like and go to that host and put in your screen name. Do not put in anything but your name!

Hit get html code.

Highlight the code that is under (HTML code to put on your web page with your mouse and right click and hit copy.

This is the tricky part!!

Come here and hit reply, hit the button that says basic editor to the bottom right of the message box.

paste the code into the box and hit preview.

now hit edit and preview again and submit.

If you don't want to fool around with the code you can just post your screennames here if you want but make sure you say what they are for (yahoo,msn,etc...)

BTW you should choose a link closer to the top of the page or it may be down and not show you as online lol.

You might have to try a couple on the page where it shows your code it should also show the correct online button when it gives you the code if it is working

Ok Raven, what the heck did I do wrong?

I got the link added to my group pages and then went and signed on to my IM and it still shows that I am offline.  Help!!!

hmm did it work on the page that you got the code from?

Right after you put in your name and click get html it should show up and show that you are online (if you are lol)

You may just have to try again. Some of them are down I used this one:

Roseflame could never get hers to show she was online though so I don't have a clue

Ok I just went and read the site lol do you have it set up where only those who are on your friends list can message you? Because they it will show you as offline always... You need to check your preferences.

Make sure it is set so everyone can message you or allow messages from everyone for it to work...

Why do I get a question mark rather than "offline" or "online" on my Messenger symbol?

Make sure you have your messenger set where everyone can see your online status and send you messages.

It may also mean you put your name in wrong, or that the site is down.

I would check your settings for your messenger and then try again.
